First time here in a few years; it was my Sir's first time. As ALWAYS, absolutely delicious food! BEST PANCAKES EVER! I And also as always, I got the pumpkin pancakes. I love that UB's offers them year round (almost no other restaurants do). My Sir got blueberry lemon pancakes. Wow were they good too! Our server, Paige, was very sweet and efficient. Another successful trip to Uncle Bills. We arrived and quickly sat down. We ordered the pumpkin pancakes with a side of Taylor Ham, six of the silver dollar pancakes with scrambled eggs, a side of bacon, and the Greek omelette. This classic brunch spot was one of the only spots open on New Year's Day! There was a 20 minute wait but we got seated before that. They are very professional with taking names down. I got some eggs, potatoes and rye toast. It hit the spot and fulfilled my hunger. Some reviews mention it is crowded and the booths are small. We went to the 41st street location and sat outside. Place was packers and on a wait. We didn't wait long maybe 15mins. Outside seating was enjoyable especially being at the shore. We had Kayla as our server and she was amazing!! So friendly and helpful. She helped us out with the menu even giving suggestions. We ordered one the special items on the menu with the poached eggs but substituted the ham for pork roll and got a ham and cheese omelette which was delicious. Our greeter was friendly and nice also and made you feel welcome. As for my waffle...I should have sent it back. Cold, flat, and just no flavor. My eggs and bacon were good but the place isn't called 'uncle bills bacon and egg house' Service was 'eh' a simple refill of coffee, a straw or ordering seemed like we were bothering our server. FYI the straw we had to ask another waitress and that seemed like a chore to her. First impression: bright and cheerful dining areas and very friendly staff. I can see how it can get quite noisy when it is with so many tables. I'm giving a two star review mostly because of the eggs. The eggs were definitely made from liquid eggs in a carton. They were rubbery and had no taste whatsoever. If I had known this, I would've ordered sunny side up, but it doesn't tell you anywhere that the eggs are not from fresh eggs. Everything else was fine, but the eggs are usually the starve of the meal for me and so this was very disappointing. I did use salt, pepper and hot sauce, but it didn't really help because the texture was not good. read more

I have been coming to OC for 31 years and have always seen but never stood in the lines at Uncle Bills Pancake House...UNTIL TODAY! On a weekday in May, there was no line so we decided to see what this place was all about! When we entered, I noticed that there is an obvious attention to cleanliness. You have no idea how important that is to me! We were able to get seated right away and the service was wonderful. In looking through the menu, I had a HARD time deciding what to order. I thought I would do the right thing and just ordered oatmeal. That was just dumb! Don't get me wrong, the oatmeal is top tasting however, watching the pancakes walk by to other tables, I just had to supplement my oatmeal and bacon with the #9 Apple Pancakes! I couldn't get the warm apples folded into 3 pancakes, topped with butter and sprinkled with cinnamon off of my mind! So much food, such good food but every calorie was worth every bite! I did take half of the pancakes home to snack on for lunch! So, so, so good! read more

Separate side room for overflow(s). Menu Selections: Basically ALL breakfast items, something for everyone. Prices: Somewhat pricey for just breakfast. Refer to menu below for details. Almost ANY South Jersey Diner would have a better price, but not the selection available here. Food ordered and served: Pancakes and waffles. Well presented and great taste. Overall excellent food. But a bit cheap on the butter. Service: Efficient. Friendly. Best bets: Boardwalk Special $13.25 Issues: "I WANNA SEE STEAM".....the same issue as with MOST ALL breakfast restaurants, the food is NEVER hot when it gets to your table (i.e. the butter does not melt much). Parking is somewhat limited. Street parking available. Avoids: Any weekend day after 8:30 am between Memorial Day and Labor Day when kids are out of school, otherwise expect a lengthy wait outside and therefore avoid rainy mornings. Hubby and I stopped in this morning after staying a night in OC NJ. Great, clean and cute restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive. I ordered the cheese omelette w/ bacon, potatoes and toast as well as an order of 6 silver dollars. Everything was delicious and the portions were enough for 2 people. My husband ordered the scrapple, eggs and pancake meal. The scrapple was hard on the outside (like he ordered) and the pancakes are big. I would recommend stopping in as it is a great experience with tasty food. The restaurant is also family friendly and reasonably priced. read more
