    French Toast

We stopped here for a late breakfast (11am) on a Tuesday in August. There was no wait for a table. Omelette and french toast were delicious. The bill was over $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Even though the food was great, we will probably go someplace else next time because of the prices.

Really enjoyed breakfast here! A little pricy but this is the beach and overall worth it to me. The inside is so pretty! Outside seating as well. Honestly the menu looked so good, I wanted to try everything! The coffee menu is so fun! The chips ahoy iced latte was epic lol I love the board options where you can try a few things. The cinnamon bun French toast was delicious. Perfect size so it wasn't toooo much sweetness. The breakfast egg rolls were interesting and full of flavor! I had to sneak a few bites of the grits from my Dad's creole shrimp and grits meal...so good and creamy. Can't wait to try more of this menu and stop by again. Friendly service as well!

I visited Green Eggs Cafe and everything on their menu captivated my attention . There are so many things on their menu I wanted to try, it's so hard to choose! I had to try their Vegan Creme Brûlée French Toast. Initially I thought, could a vegan dish compare to a classic French Toast?! Of course it did! The whipped cream and berry compote added a nice tart flavor to counter the sweetness. -check me out Faceless_food_

Very cute new spot for breakfast, the menu looked very fresh. I like that they do not include any additional sugar in the smoothies. We ordered the guacamole benedict's. The order came out different from what we had communicated with the waitress, but everyone was very accommodating! I loved the pickled red pepper & the poached egg was cooked to perfection. While they have some kinks to work out, this is a great new spot!

2024, Bennie yolks still perfect, generous fruit bowl, reasonable price (about $17), the quality continues!

Just wanted to add an update saying a year after my first review, Green Eggs is still 5 stars excellent. Nice to see the quality continue! (Can't say that for some other places.) The Eggs Bennie was perfect, the side of fruit still sweet and generous. One addition this time is my son's Cookie Dough French Toast. Probably too sweet for a meal, but if you want to share something sweet for the table, this would be a great option.

Service- A+ nice waitress but silverware was forgotten The name speaks volumes about this place. My omelette had HAM instead of the bacon I asked for. Also the potatoes had onion and potatoes even tho they are called the signature potatoes. Underwhelming and now I feel gross bc I ate my FRIENDS pancake bc mine sucked. Also too much cheese.

Yum!! We stopped here for an impromptu breakfast and were surprisingly seated right away! It was so hard to pick just one thing from the menu because there were so many delicious options. I decided on the caramel banana French toast and our orders came out quick! The French toast was so good! The thick cut slices were buttery and sweet. I could not finish the plate by myself. I would definitely come back to try more!

Great breakfast! Unusual choices and huge servings! Enjoyed my "cafe bombon " similar to a Bieyndnese coffee with espresso and sweetened condensed milk. During a kitchen delay, The manager came out to offer us complimentary coffee and juice .

Run don't walk to the best breakfast place in town. I will literally be dreaming of my shrimp and grits for years to come. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was very pleasant, we really liked the updated decor that was both clean and classic. Will definitely be coming back soon!

    Had an amazing breakfast.

We had an amazing breakfast! Good food, great service. Despite being very crowded our server made sure to check in regularly to see if we needed anything. Five of us in our group and everyone enjoyed their meal.

It's not an Ocean City family vacation without multiple trips to Kessel's! During our week at the…read moreshore, we visited Kessel's three times: takeout on our first night, ice cream mid-week, and an early dine-in dinner before heading home. As always, each of our three experiences this July were fantastic, with our last shining the most. We typically do take-out on night number one, and like in years past, the food is always ready on time and prepared as ordered. We ordered an array of items including Cheesesteaks, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Burgers, Grilled Cheese, Fries, and Onion Rings. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The line stretched around the side of the building the night we stopped for ice cream, but it moved quickly. Staff efficiently took orders, prepared cones and sundaes, and kept the line moving despite the large crowd. While take-out is always great from Kessel's, I will always prefer dining in! You really can't beat the old-school diner vibes and decor, and the service is outstanding. Julia, our server, did an incredible job with our party of 7. She was highly attentive, frequently checked in, and really added to our experience. My Cheesesteak Hoagie with hot peppers may have been my favorite thing I've ordered from Kessel's to date, but it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. The burgers and wraps are also solid choices. I also ordered a fresh Peach Sundae and I highly recommend! Julia even made my sundae herself in addition to waiting tables, and it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Absolutely picture-worthy! Kessel's is a cash-only establishment, but for seven people--including sandwiches, burgers, wraps, multiple orders of fries, and a few desserts--the total was just over $100. That's an incredible value especially at the Jersey Shore. Kessel's will always be a staple of our family vacations and continues to be a highlight for our nieces. If you've yet to experience breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just an ice cream sundae from this adorable, little, retro-feeling diner, please pay them a visit. I think you'll be glad you did.

It is normal to find oneself with a peculiar sense of being without time, and being within a coca-cola controlled dimension between ours and that of our forebears. It is crucial that you ignore any compunction to run screaming out the front door and onto the streets of Ocean City. I assure you, they are not there. What you see through those windows is an illusion to illicit comfort in your mortal mind. In actuality you have been removed to an extra-temporal imposition of Americana-kitsch. Once you have reconciled this fact and cleansed yourself of any unclean thoughts you may proceed to your booth, where you will order one cheeseburger and one strawberry milkshake. It is important that you order only these two items, as ordering any others will upset the delicate harmonics that weave our world with it. You will enjoy them. You will Pay. Unfortunately, after tonight we will never be going back, and I can't recommend it to anyone in good faith. The service we received was so so so disappointing. I would love for this place to improve and for this corner to find a home. At this rate, I just can't see it lasting until summer 2026. Summary below: - We ordered a few items for dinner, and received an estimate of 35-40 minutes. All good so far. - We show up after 40 minutes and nobody comes up to us at the counter for at least 5-6 minutes. Ok, fine. We tell them we're picking up and they go check on things. Keep in mind there are probably 4 people eating in this restaurant and no takeout line to speak of. - After a full hour they finally bring us a brown bag, and tell us it's all ready except for the chicken salad wrap we ordered, which they don't have on hand unfortunately. - "So when did you uncover this???" 10 minutes ago they say. Remember we've been here for 20. Would have been nice to know maybe when we ordered, or at least when we showed up 20 minutes ago?? - We say fine just grab us a Caesar salad, that should allow us to get out of here quickly. - After another 15 minutes (!) they finally bring us our Caesar salad. It has now been a total of 1:15 since our order. - After this ordeal they have the audacity to try to charge us an extra $15 on the bill!! When they tell me to swipe my card luckily I have the presence of mind to review things -- "um, this looks higher than I heard on the phone?" Sure enough, the total was incorrect and they tried to over-charge me. I really don't want to dump on The Grubb but it was just a sad sad experience and we were really so disappointed in the quality of service. It wasn't exactly overflowing with business on this night, and yet everyone seemed really overwhelmed and backed up (maybe understaffed or under-trained?). To make things worse, nobody was very apologetic or made much of an effort to make things right. We had such high hopes (the sandwiches are really great!) but after the worst takeout experience I've had on the island, I will never order from here again. :( - 6/21/2025

I think my avocado toast would be even better on a toasted baguette or rustic artisan bread, and my fiancé agreed that he would have preferred his toast to be a little crispier.
