They mainly tried to scrounge at any tables that had just gotten up before the staff had a chance to clear them, but a few times we thought they might try to get to our table. What a horrible breakfast. Called and placed a pick up order because ordering online somehow raises the prices of all the food. Spent $90 on 5 breakfast meals. Asked for well done bacon and received undercooked bacon and both bagels were stale and not edible. Worst display of a sandwich breakfast sandwich i have ever seen/had. It's sad because we looked forward to ordering their food. We usually go and sit down which is very nice and relaxing, however ordering for pick up... don't do it. The casual vibe and scenic view make the place. It was REALLY windy out (no indoor seating), but fortunately we found a spot tucked away that blocked the wind. Servers were friendly and the service was good, although the kitchen was rather slow. Took forever to get our meal and it was not high season. But the portions were generous and my omelette was very good, where the additional mushrooms I requested were plentiful. It's a nice relaxing atmosphere to get together with friends. I was invited to check out Dockside Kitchen. It is right on the bay so it has a great view. There is an obstacle course for kids right in front, so you can get breakfast or lunch and a show haha. We ordered French toast, the breakfast burrito, short rib toast and a grilled chicken wrap. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a must, I would go everyday just for that alone. My waitress recommended the short rib and I loved it. The breakfast burrito was also really good though I wish it had bacon instead of chorizo but that just personal preference. My sister isn't a breakfast person and she liked her grilled chicken wrap. And we all shared the French toast which was good as well. As a girl from Pittsburgh, I also loved that they had Heinz ketchup. The staff was great. It was busy the whole time we were there. We will definitely be going back. read more

My friend and I have been wanting to try Dockside Kitchen for months and finally had the opportunity a few days ago. We came right as they opened at 8 am on a Friday morning and were seated right away. We got to sit outside with a view of the bay, which was one of the main reasons we wanted to come. It was a little chilly with the wind in the morning, but our hot coffee and tea helped. Our server was attentive, friendly, and gave suggestions when it was time to order the food. We decided to split the Lobster Benedict. The food came out shortly and was appealing, though I did feel the presentation needed some work, as the dish was lacking color. We agreed chives or green onion would be a nice addition to both the appeal and the taste. Despite this, the benedict was delicious and we both enjoyed every bite. Was excited to eat here. The view and ambiance was very nice. Right on the water. Good view of the bay. We were seated fairly quickly and the place seemed clean. It was very crowded and it felt like everyone was sitting together. You were on top of one another eating with your neighbors. It was a hectic seating scenario, kids running everywhere. Up and down the dock, in-between tables. The seagulls were the worst part. Felt like you had to guard your plate the entire time. One swooped down and attacked the French fries on my wife's plate while we were sitting right there towards the end of our meal. And the best they could do was offer to take our plates away. Food was ok at best. Good portions, no real flavor in the fish tacos, the fish and chips were just deep fried, not seasoned, nothing special or to brag about. was not worth the trip at all. Dockside is a new family favorite. Not only is the food delicious, the service is incredible, the staff is thoughtful, and the facilities are clean. My partner and I love Dockside so much, we tried the dinner club, and it was very much worth it for the sunset dinner. I dream about the rosemary potatoes in the off season. The iced coffee is delicious (though they don't have mochas, which is a bit disappointing for me), and they have a full espresso bar for all the caffeine needs. Delicious breakfast! First time here and I got the farmers omelette. It was amazing with all fresh ingredients. The potatoes were seasoned with rosemary too so that was a nice touch to the meal. The wait was really long. So don't expect to just get right in. Maybe if you get there first thing you will not be waiting. The dock is pretty large and there is also counter seating along the water if you are by yourself or just you and one other person. The coffee was also very good. My husband got the eggs Benedict that I tried and it was delicious. I think next time I will get that or a lunch meal. I'll be back but when the season slows down a bit! read more

The roll on a true lobster roll should be about the size of a hotdog bun, brioche style, sliced on the top , buttered and toasted. The lobster was flavorless, and there was absolutely too much bun for the amount of meat. On the plus side the fries were super crispy and super hot and were quite delicious. Unfortunately, neither Yelp nor the restaurant's OWN WEBSITE mentions that they are not open at the beginning of Spring. The lobster avocado toast is something I highly recommend you try. I got the crabcake Benedict which was not cooked well but still overall OK. The poached egg was cooked perfectly, which is usually rare for bunch spots, the crab cake was a little under done. This place only has outdoor seating which is why we really liked it. We sat on the bar table which faced the water. Service is pretty quick. The weather is amazing during our meal. I am unsure if the weather is very very hot how enjoyable that meal would be in the heat. There is a parking lotRight next to the restaurant. We didn't get a chance to sample the food since we were turned off by the staff and decided to take our party of up to 11 people elsewhere. We were at the adjacent water park. Our son had just returned from a cancelled Phila. flight and was hungry but at 3 o'clock, he was told they were closed and would reopen at 4:30. Fine. He asked to see a menu and was told again that they were closed. Our 5 grandkids, the parents and other grandparents were at the water park next door. Not realizing the restaurant was separate, I used the restroom. At 4:15 my eyes were burning from sunscreen and was going back into the bathroom to flush them out and was told it was only for patrons and use to the restroom down the street in the parking lot. At 4:30 our grandkids time at the park was up and everyone was hungry. Since they rudely brushed me off. a 75 year old local just trying treat my eyes, I had us make other plans to eat. On the dockside of the island, as its name implies, this restaurant is a little more off the beaten path when things get hopping beginning with Memorial Day Weekend. The view from the tables, that are sheltered by screens from bad weather, is delightful and the food is very good and ample. The Lobster Benedict, while expensive for breakfast, contained a remarkably large portion of lobster and the Shrimp and Crab Omelet also was chock full of seafood.
