Tre helped me tremendously. I was kinda overwhelmed trying to prepare for Fathers Day and I ordered food last min. Tre was very patient with me and guess what I arrived without my wallet lol Tre showed me how to use Apple Pay. Always forget about this place even know over the years friends comment's have been positive. Well after my first trip I may need to rethink my choice of friends. Typical bbq joint where you order at the counter and they bring your food out. Big menu (maybe to big) with multiple side, sandwich and entree selections. I opted for the 2 meat combo with pulled pork (suggested by cashier) and sliced brisket. Sides of baked beans and mashed with gravy. Average price for most bbq under $30 with a fountain drink. Pulled pork - ok, not much flavor. At least it was moist. Might be better as a sandwich with slaw and bbq sauce. Sliced brisket - dry, grey and tough with little flavor. I doubt it was fresh, most likely from the day before. No amount of sauce made this any good. Baked beans - ok, good flavor but a bit on the sweet side for my taste. Mashed potatoes/gravy - no frills mashed with a most likely packaged gravy "churched" up a bit. Nothing special but fine. Sauce - 2 types - regular - ok, average sweet. Spicy - the same as the other but spicy. Corn bread was good. Beverage - Coke products and I believe they have alcohol. What self respecting bbq establishment only has iced tea in a fountain? At least brew your own iced tea, it's not that tough and makes a world of difference. The restaurant looked very clean and well maintained and everyone I had interactions with were very friendly Overall not really sure why this place has trophies all over the restaurant its average at best. My family and I have long enjoyed the quality of food and friendly atmosphere, we appreciate the staff who works so hard at both. We have had a tough time finding a good tasting ham for our Christmas Dinner the past few years, and after talking to Jay, had them prepare our ham. WOW, what an incredible experience it was! Wow!! Simply amazing! We ordered the Prime Rib Family dinner for thanksgiving and it was amazing! It says it feeds 6-8 people but it feeds more like 10-12 people! My husband was in heaven. Due to covid, we just had the two of us and our 4 month old son. The meat was so tender and the sides were delicious. I joked around and told him I am ordering from Uncle Bubs for every holiday (kidding but not kidding)! The ordering, payment and pickup was SO easy. When we went there weren't many people there which was nice. All the employees were super nice and helped in whatever we needed. They have a lot of sauces to choose from that's by the registers. My food barely had seasoning (if any). The sides were ok but the entire $40 meal was pretty "vanilla". The service at carry out was okay. The attendant spent a lot of time away from her post but she came within :05. The ambiance has more flavor than the food, however I don't like nor appreciate when sanitation practices loosen just because the restaurant is busy. Sanitation is paramount for me. O don't want to see employees hands on their cellphone then next their thumb is touching the inner rim of my plate or platter. Round crispy golden balls which are deep fried. When you break into the ball ooey gooey mac and cheese spills out. The exterior was crispy and light but not greasy. Their mac n cheese balls were definitely the highlight of my lunch. The 2nd side I chose was cornbread which was delicious. The price point is affordable -- $9.98 for a brisket sandwich with 2 sides. My only gripe regarding the cornbread was that it was NOT warm. It is served cold. My other gripe was no honey on the table for the cornbread. I put a little butter on my cornbread. The cornbread was moist and sweet but not overly sweet. I would return to this restaurant specifically for their mac and cheese and corn bread. The brisket was tender. It was not horrible, but it didn't have a smoky flavor of any kind. It was smothered in BBQ sauce which overpowered the meat. I tasted more of the sauce than I did the actual brisket. It is a huge sandwich. I removed the top bun and did not eat the top bun. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely return. It was a huge, but satisfying lunch. Who doesn't love BBQ?! Who doesn't love BBQ on a hot summer day?! It's just a perfect meal during the summer, or anytime really. So let me tell you about Uncle Bub's BBQ... I went here with a couple friends for dinner. The restaurant itself is huge, but you really wouldn't think so once you're actually inside. We sat in the front near the ordering counter, but there's a hallway that extends back which I can only assume leads to more tables. The decor is rustic and perfect for a BBQ joint. You're provided a number and seated at a table. When you're ready, you head up to the counter to order your meal. Lots of options, including a nice selection of beer - at least more than I expected for a simple BBQ joint. Upon ordering, you return to your seat and await your food and drinks. So, here's where I started deducting stars. While I understand food takes time to prepare, I don't expect a long wait when ordering BBQ, regardless how busy. From time of ordering to receiving our food, it took 32 minutes. Seems a bit excessive to me. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but it didn't blow me away either. I had the 2 meat dinner with pulled chicken and smoked turkey. Both were moist and had great smoky flavor. But as far as the food, that's where the 'good' stops. My two sides were disappointing; The coleslaw was very wet and soggy while the baked beans tasted like your average beans. My friends each ordered the fried mac and cheese bites (2 per side) which they said were pretty good. Each entree comes with cornbread, which I dubbed a 'corn cupcake'. Why? It was sooo light and fluffy, exactly like a cupcake! They were missing something in flavor though. Lastly, the BBQ sauces were nothing spectacular. They were all fairly sweet (second ingredient on 2 sauces was high fructose corn syrup) with no profound flavor profile. We haven't had Uncle Bub's in a while, so it was time to revisit. My wife's favorite of a brisket meal didn't let her down. She loves the broccoli salad and soup she had as sides. Asked for and got extra bbq sauce to top off the meal. I'm a big combination fan. Nothing like a little of everything with two different bbq sauces for topping off. Can't say five stars today because the was on the dry side, flavorful, but I'm glad I got extra bbq sauce to juice it up. Baked beans were great as before, but the coleslaw was on the bland side. We had a fantastic catering experience with Uncle Bub's. For a large outdoor party we ordered food for 70 guests. We went with 3 meats and 3 sides and later added on additional tossed salad and pasta salad to cover more of our non meat eating friends. We chose pulled pork, which came with pickles, bbq sauce and buns on the side. It was delicious and we had about 50 buns left over as few made sandwiches, most are theirs with forks. We also got the herbed chicken which was good and we paid more to also have brisket. The brisket was fabulous and the first thing to run out. For sides we ordered Mac and cheese, baked beans and cole slaw. All great sides and nothing went to waste. Marie was our delivery person and I am so glad we paid a little extra for delivery and setup. She did everything including filling the trays with water to keep the food warm. She got meat from the point of the brisket, soooooo fatty we couldn't pull it apart. I said to the worker we can't eat this . They made another one . We were recommended this place by my husband's co-workers, and I was most definitely NOT impressed. Food was definitely below average, and they use tons of sugar to over compensate for poor quality! I ordered the brisket meal, and my husband ordered the half slab of ribs. Brisket was dry, hard and not exactly hot... and slathered in sauce with tons of sugar. My husband's ribs were a bit of the same. As for the sides, the fried Mac n Cheese was just weird, the corn on the cob tasted like it was defrosted from frozen (totally flavorless), the "brown sugar butter" on the sweet potato was literally just a pile of sugar, the cornbread was yuck, and the broccoli salad was drowningggggggg in sauce. If your food is really, truly good it is not necessary to drown everything in sauce. There are much better establishments in the area to get BBQ at that are also a better value. On top of the food being sub par, it's also quite expensive for what it is. read more
