Absolutely unacceptable experience today. The staff was rude, dismissive, and blatantly disrespectful to my mother. Instead of helping, they spoke down to her and acted as if she was an inconvenience. This credit union claims to value its customers, but our experience showed the complete opposite. My mother is a member of a shared branch out of state and was sent here by her home credit union. We ended up having to call them for help and the customer service rep on the line was even shocked at how my mom was being treated! Unprofessional behavior like this is inexcusable. This bank sucks!! I would discourage anyone from opening an account here. They will lock your card with no explanation if they think there is fraud but won't provide any info if it's after hours. They don't have a customer service number you can call if it happens after 5pm because they are closed. You can literally look at the funds in your account but can't access them!! They don't give a shit if you are stuck on the side of the road our out of the country !!!! read more

Take your business elsewhere, especially if you have to deal with a long haired blonde asian lady. She is a B!!!!!! I use uncle CU because i have another CU they are "sister branches". I get it that i can't do several things because thats not my home branch but come on there are ways of telling people about it. Especially when your job requires you have SOME sort of customer service. I've been there on two separate occasions, the second time I saw her working and I was hoping I would get a different teller. This bank is so lame. There is no advantage in having your bank account be through this credit union vs. a traditional bank like B of A or Chase. It's not up to speed with how other banks operate in the modern day. I would honestly set that aside though if it werent for the horrible bank tellers here. I can't speak for any other location but the Stockton branch has the rudest tellers. Specifically, there is an asian woman, probably in her mid to later 30s, with longish hair- if i had her name or employee info i would use that instead, but its the only way i have to identify her and it is my intention to make it known who i'm complaining about; i swear that every time, for the past 3 years, anytime i have to go in person, i get her every damn time. She makes me feel very uncomfortable and overall very frustrated and honestly, angry. Her overall attitude is as if you are bugging & interrupting her. She is not helpful, she doesnt seek to help you find a solution if you present with a problem, she looks at you like everything youre saying is totally stupid, & really just overall, she is unpleasant, unfriendly, & unprofessional. It's laughable to think of this woman ever thanking you for your business/choosing to bank with Uncle, wishing you a well rest of your day, or ensuring that shes helped resolve your issue. i really could actually continue to go on for the next 20 minutes deacribing all the reasons why she makes me dislike my bank & question how this lady is able to keep her job. If i had more money I would leave to go open an account somewhere else & it is my plan to do so first thing when I have the chance. The overall culture inside the branch amongst tellers is obviously one of hating their job & not even attempting to hide that in the least bit. And today specifically, she has totally ruined my day. I'm a Patelco member and unfortunately there aren't any Patelco Branches in the area, so this was the nearest shared branch. I was treated so badly by the Asian teller "Liz" she acted as if she hated her job and the fact she had to work. My whole interaction with her was so awkward and unprofessional. At the end of my transaction, I told the branch manager Cindy how she should provide this woman customer service training that didn't do much since she was just as rude and incompetent as the employee. Seems like the whole branch needs a re-do & extensive customer service training, ridiculous! read more

Got there right before it was closing and they shut the door in my face, needed money for my daughters formula because it was a third party bank and I can't use atm, told the lady with long hair and glasses and that I needed the money for my daughters formula and still did not choose to help me, it would've only taken her 3 min to withdraw and she choose not to, it doesn't take a lot to be a kind person! read more

They turned my credit card of with no advance notice. Never over the grace period on payments nor was my card expired. The automated service sucked. I had a good relationship with the Stockton branch, but as company they suck!!! read more

I went to Uncle Credit union to open up an account. The environment was pleasant and welcoming and most of my questions were answered. I was ready to open an account. Handing my identification to the sweet lady behind the counter. She was very insightful and detailed. Another customer approached and she informed him that it would be a minute as opening a new account takes time but another associate could help him. The gentleman proceeded to ask her questions and she ultimately began assisting him before completing my process, I felt very disrespected as they began speaking over my head as if I wasn't sitting there. I kindly asked for my identification back , she said "hold on, I'm just looking for a paper " I waited another minute or so before requesting my id again. I think they would be great for whoever may read this unfortunately this was my experience and it's a no for me.. read more

I've been banking here for years now! The service is always been nice. I'm in and out! Friendly service. And they always handle my needs no attitudes Pleasant place to go. As well as a nice atmosphere In-N-Out side. No riff raffs hitting you up! So I highly recommend coming here for all your banking needs. As well as Investments. During this visit the 2 tellers sitting behind the window teller line did not acknowledge my husband and I as we walked in, both ladies didn't even dare try putting a smile on there face to greet customers or welcome us in. I would think working at a bank you would put your customers first but I guess not. The time of the transaction took about 15 mins when all we wanted to do was make a payment in full. A check made out to my wife and I, we have separate banking institutions the young teller had to go "ask" if I could put it in my own account.
