Let me tell you, a box of these donuts goes quick in our household. They are simple but tasty and not loaded with a mound of unnecesssary toppings. Found this place on yelp, and had to get some doughnuts! I went there on my birthday, and the doughnuts are AMAZING! I got two dozen of a variety, and they were delicious. I didn't even mind the price, it was worth it. The owner was there and was helpful and very friendly. I defiantly have to try a doughnut sundae when I go back. Note: Parking was a pain, and finding it was hard. I want them to upsize so they can have a healthy parking lot. read more

So I admit that I'm a health nut and have never actually tasted an Uncle Dood's donut. However, I treated the office once, and ever since, they bug me to stop every few weeks...they can't get enough. The shop is run by a really nice group of guys. Its a very small space, so they always greet you as soon as you walk in, often chatting with you while you wait. You can call ahead to get your order started, which is really nice. As with any business downtown, parking can be tricky, but that's not their fault. The one thing I would love is if they had a pickup window. Once I set foot inside, even when I pre-order, the smell of hot oil saturates my clothes for hours. Not a fan. Though its worth it once in a while to see the look on my coworkers' faces when they see the boxes of donuts walk through the door :) read more

Get ready to get fat kids.... you will need to losen up the belt a little if you want to enjoy all of the recipes. They hand make the doughnuts first. Then they hand craft them into mini works of art. They have a very imaginitave menu to choose from. They refresh the menu every month. They have seasonal recipes to cater to current holidays and seasons. It's probably the coolest little doughnut shop around. Delicious fresh donuts. They come up with unique creations every month. My favorites are the chocolate frosted with toasted coconut and the jersey devil which is chocolate frosted with cinnamon sugar and cayenne pepper. Great coffee too! read more

No clue how it's possible for DOODS to not have a straight up 5* rating. The best donuts on earth. You watch them drop the dough into that oil river right in front of you and they too those bad boys with the coolest mix of toppings. The menu changes on a monthly basis and I really love the options. Parking is hilariously fun and challenging in a good way. The people that run DOODS are super friendly and remember you. Uncle Dood is a must if you are in the area! The owner is personable and friendly. The service is quick as well. The owner patiently explained how the menu worked and gave us ample time to make our selection. The donuts range from traditional to trendy to unique. we went just before school started. It was our first time and it was delicious. I had three kids and myself. The donuts were fresh, and the owner explained how it worked with picking the toppings. I know you may think the donuts can't be anything but donuts but you are wrong. One of the kids said it was the best doughnut of her life, another had to stop eating midway to savor it, the youngest had his mouth stuffed so full he couldn't talk. It is as good as people say it is. I would say the best donuts in Ocean and Monmouth county and ya girl loves donuts. Ok so today I take a drive to Uncle Dood's because I'm dying try one of his donuts. Unfortunately I was told by the owner that I have to order any donuts in advance. I could have purchased a grab and go box but why would I buy a whole box at a price of $10 before I tasted one of his donuts.
