We came from out of town because the reviews looked decent. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation (no, didn't realize this was a thing at 6pm on a Wednesday)... she passed us off to another server who again asked if we had a reservation (still no, but okay we can take a hint). Told us it would be a 15 min wait to sit in the (apparently) non reservation section. We opted to order food to go... got chicken parm and penne a la vodka. The chicken was thin and overdone, and the red sauce was bland (saw this later on other reviews, should have listened.) We love this place! We had our sons and future daughter-in-laws rehearsal dinner here Thursday evening. The owners were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to take care of every little detail. We started with bruschetta, prosciutto burrata and calamari for all. Soooo delicious! Highly recommended. Our guests had a choice of 5 entrees, which were all served piping hot (not an easy task for a party of 40!) I believe the majority of quests needed a togo box because portion sizes are so generous! Their staff is top notch and I can see why my daughter-in-law wanted to have dinner here. Had lunch with my parents. Was relieved to see that the lunch menu was quite a bit less money for all items than the dinner menu, which is posted on their website. Our waiter, was one of the owners of the restaurant. He was as nice as could be and joked around with us in an unhurried way. The four of us each had an entry and we shared a large cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was a good one. The crust had a good taste. Its taste was similar to what we get on the streets of Brooklyn. It had a good blend of cheese and tomato sauce. It was cooked perfectly and we loved it. The pizza was quite inexpensive. I had a chicken parmigiana sub. It was large and cost about the same as something similar would cost in Brooklyn. It tasted great and totally satisfied me. My wife had a lasagna entree. It tasted fresh. It had a perfect amount of basil. She was satisfied with it and wants to return again. She commented how she loved the pizza and wants to return for more. My mother had the pasta faggioli. She also had chicken marsala. She loved them both and considered the portions to be large. She said that the chicken marsala had many mushrooms, as it should. It was made the right way. My father had egg plant parmigiana and was happy with it. He said that it was a very large portion. We got some good bread included with the meal. We hope to return to this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. read more

Giuseppe's is a taste of home for me! Having grown up on Long Island, I was surrounded by some of the best pizzerias in the country. I was spoiled by the plethora of pizza around me! Do when I travel, I try to find pizza that reminds me of my childhood. Giuseppe's comes darn close! The crust has a nice chew to it, something that is hard to find in most states. The sauce is delicate and subtle- not too strong or too acidic or too sweet. Just the pure taste of tomatoes. The cheese was not too heavy- I like a little more cheese on my pizza, but the amount was okay. The sausage was sliced (not crumbled, god forbid!) and nicely cooked. I live in the Sarasota area of Florida which really does not have a tremendous amount of restaurant options similar to what I've been used to my whole life living in New York and Chicago. I have to be honest and say that I was a bit skeptical of this restaurant because of the name but OMG, I am so glad I decided to go with my "Gut" and give them a try. There were four of us in our party and decided to go straight into the entrées. We ordered the; shrimp and muscles fradiavola with angel hair pasta, a 12 inch pepperoni and onion pizza, and two veal dishes. I don't want to bore you and give you all the specifics on the food that we ate other than out of our three day trip to Saint Augustine, this was the best meal we ate, and best of all, not the most expensive. My wife did not stop talking about the veal Giacomo that she ordered as well as my son who ate the veal francese. Service was OK but the five star rating is well deserved because of the delicious delicious New York style Italian food. I've tried this place twice now. Both times I walked in the place was full, no social distance dining and everyone eating inside. None of the guests were wearing masks. None of the staff were wearing masks or gloves, and no where was there hand sanitizer. Of the 5 staff who saw me today only 2 put their mask on only because I was wearing a mask. The 2 being the woman who brought me my to go order and short guy making the pizza but not the tall guy. They do not sanitize between customers. Everyone looked at me like I was nuts for having a mask on. I wanted to run out of the place and say forget it, but I was picking up for others as well. The food: The hot sandwiches and fries are great. The pizza to go was seriously meh. It probably tastes great when the crust isn't soggy. But this was worse than soggy it literally was like picking up a thick soggy wet blanket of grease. The sheet they place the pizza in on in the box is so thin that the grease soaked right through the box and all over my car and counter tops. The pizza was so soggy it was hardly enjoyable. And we had one of their suggested pizza's the Uncle Giuseppe. C'mon guys, what's the deal? Probably won't be back at all since they can't bother to protect us from Covid-19. This place is hands down the closest you will get to authentic Italian food outside of the Northeast. It literally reminded me of my favorite place in little Italy NY. Their recipes are authentic and very well proportioned. Their selection of wine and beer (peronni on tap) is excellent. Hands down a gem down in the treasure coast. Now, let's talk about their pizza. Carlos knows his menu! We were impressed with his quick wit and his enthusiasm. We told him we were hungry and he pointed us in the right direction. This is our 2nd visit in a week. I ordered the same exact meal twice. Perfect and consistent. Crispy garden salad with house dressing. Every element of the salad was beyond reproach from the crunch of the cucumbers to the earthy black olives on top. The chicken was cooked with a deft hand. Fork tender and flavorful. I had pasta Alfredo on the side. The creamy delicious sauce was exactly the comfort food I was craving at the end of my virtual work day. Everyone at the table cleaned their plate. I thought the bread at the table was excellent. Prices were very fair. The pizza was OK but nothing great and definitely undercooked. The chicken Parmesan on the daily special was also just ok again nothing amazing but definitely fine. The Tirimisu was solid but small. The shopping center it's in isn't that great but the restaurant itself is nice and the service was solid. Will be back but maybe it would be awhile since there are so many places to try. It was busy for a Wednesday night, but ordered for take out through Yelp, via Grubhub and when I arrived they promptly let me know they were working on it to get me on my way. Ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and a medium pizza for the kids. They chicken was cooked to perfection with the Angel hair, but could have included a little extra sauce with the pasta. The kids loved pizza and so did I when I finished the crust they didn't want. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
