I went after work, craving tacos. They were the worst I've ever had. Very disappointed. Not authentic Mexican food in my opinion.

This place is a total vibe!! Today, NuAxis Innovations held our quarterly all-hands meeting at Uncle Jalapeño in Herndon, VA, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The staff was awesome one of the owners personally made sure our audio-visual setup worked perfectly so we could connect with our team members in Denver, CO and New Orleans, LA. The seating arrangements were spot-on, and our staff loved being able to get together in such a comfortable, welcoming space. The food? Amazing! The service? Just as great! This location was perfect for our event, and I'm already planning to have more functions here. I highly recommend business owners and managers take their team out of the office and host meetings or all-hands gatherings at Uncle Jalapeño, you won't regret it!

I recently dined at Uncle Jalapeno. The interior was well decorated and spacious. The service was great. I ordered the paneer enchiladas and the food was alright wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. I ordered the chilly corn as well and I did enjoy the seasoning on it.

Visited Uncle Jalapeno for lunch on Tuesday. The decor, especially the booths reminded me of El Paso although the art and lights have their own flare. My friend & I both selected from the $15 lunch menu which includes some soup and several main item options. My friend went with tacos & I selected enchiladas with an slight Indian flavor twist (think Tequila Granda before it moved and become Mama Tigre). They also have margaritas on the lunch menu but we had to go back to work . Because my friend had a meeting coming up we both consumed our soup (tortilla -- tasty) but got the rest to go. Although it definitely caused some confusion we felt they were accommodating of our request. We both enjoyed our meals later in the afternoon. Oh, almost forgot one of the most important things -- their chips are good as is the salsa, assuming you don't mind a nice kick. Not sure if the chips are made on site but I am pretty confident it wasn't part of a mass cheap chips purchase. Also of note it looks like happy hour runs from 3-7PM, something I expect I will enjoy in the near future. Worth a visit.

Went for a team lunch on a Friday, the place has a Vibrant look and feel, the owners have taken good care of the ambiance. This is a Tex-Mex-Indian fusion cuisine, and it was on point. The service was attentive and helpful, glad to see that the staff is aware of what to suggest and have a good idea of the menu. Huge space for bar, and I see some good cocktails on the menu The Food was great, we tried tacos, enchiladas, burritos and salads. The tandoori chicken tacos and the paneer burritos offer an Indian flavor, the flavor was mild and anyone can have it without worrying about too much spice. Will definitely go back to try the fusion Margaritas

The food here is horrible! I wasn't expecting authentic Mexican food but this wasn't even close to resembling Mexican food, not even a Fusion. I really hate wasting food but I found it inedible. I'm puzzled about where they found their recipes, even before giving things their own twists. If their enchiladas were so bad, I shudder to think what their tacos al pastor are like!

Food is Tex Mex not fusion. Flavors not so good. Good to try once if your curios since it's been advertised on the radio so much.

I opted for the "Acapulco Steak," a grilled New York strip steak adorned with sautéed Spanish onions, green peppers, and tomatoes, accompanied by Mexican rice, refried beans, and a fresh salad. Although we were so captivated by the flavors that we forgot to capture the moment with a photograph, the meal was truly memorable. Rango' Tex-Mex stands out as one of the finest Mexican restaurants we have encountered in quite some time. It presents an ideal setting for a lively happy hour after work, while also maintaining a warm and welcoming family atmosphere. The restaurant's versatility caters to diverse groups, making it a perfect choice for any occasion. The artwork adorning the walls is noteworthy, with its authentic Mexican themes. For those yearning for the comforting flavors of home-style cooking, Rango' Tex-Mex is highly recommended!

Another food runner immediately brought us water and chips and salsa. The salsa tasted a little bland and felt like it was missing some salt or some other seasoning/ingredient. We ordered another round but it was about the same. The chips were great. The seafood enchiladas I ordered were flavorful and there was a great spread of guacamole, sour cream, beans and rice. The plates were served hot and the kitchen had the good come out quite quickly which was appreciated. We'll be back!

And, I'm not sure if this place serves the best tacos on the planet, but I can say that they certainly serve the best tacos that I've ever had! I came here just after flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX). I hadn't eaten since I was in Los Angeles because I refuse to eat that terrible airplane food. Needless to say, I was pretty hungry by the time I arrived. I walked in without a reservation, at about 9pm, and they appeared to be moderately busy. Shortly after entering a friendly hostess guided me to a comfortable booth. As I looked around this business, I was immediately pleased with the "cool vibe" that this place had. Several folks were either dining together or socializing at the bar. My immediate thought was that this would be a really pleasant place to take someone special on a date. Shortly after being seated, a waitress stopped by my table and introduced herself. Her name was Alayna. Seeing that I was new to this restaurant, she quickly went over the menu and other details unique to this restaurant. She was also careful to ask if I had any food allergies, because a lot of folks have these. I told her how much I appreciated her focus on this because two of my kids have food allergies that I have to watch out for. I ordered a pomegranate limonada to drink, which was incredibly refreshing. For my first round of tacos, I ordered the "baja fish" taco, the "roasted duck" taco, and the "sesame ribeye" taco. For my second round, I ordered the "carne asada" taco, the "yukatán shrimp" taco, and the "crispy oyster" taco. And boy, these tacos not only satisfied my hunger, they were all absolutely delicious! Throughout my experience here, Alayna was incredibly professional, attentive, and pleasant. If you're ever in the Reston area, I would highly recommend that you stop by here for a meal. This was a solid five-star experience!

I wasn't feeling up to the big chains and places I wanted to try seemed to close early. Luckily this place was open and I had been wanting to try it for a while. Definitely it let a hidden gem! There are some parking spots right in front, although not many. There is a decent amount of seating, but it would be tight if you had a large party. My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.
