It was my first time coming to this place. The guy who took my order was super nice. The tacos are really good. The ambience is good too. It's clean and tidy. I believe they have outdoor sitting when weather is nice. I ordered three tacos and a side of guacamole. I would definitely come back!

Open for about a month this tiny place is at the end of the strip center. Limited seating with a shared bar type area by the windows and three small tables. While they had various options most were opting at today's lunch for the three taco platter... yes there is a option for separate types or all the same. Tacos are made with a double soft corn tortilla Hubby opted for a single beef taco and a side of fried pinto beans (black beans also available). As you go thru the line you have various topping options that included cheese, pico, onions, cilantro, and three different sauces... he got the red sauce which has a great kick to it... I opted for the carnitas (pork) sopas which were very tasty. A nice rendition with two coming to a order Hate that they are a pepsi shop as I do prefer coke products...

For the last six years, my benchmark for really good tacos has been Tacos El Gordo in Vegas. The tacos at Taki don't hit that high a note, but they do make for a decent lunch on the go. And this friendly little taco shop is a nice addition to the Herndon local food scene. On my most recent visit, I ordered three single tacos: the Carne Asada (grilled beef), the Carnitas (roast pork with a nopales relish), and the Lengua (beef tongue). The tacos are made the traditional way that street tacos are made - with two corn tortillas - and at $3 per taco, they're in step with Northern VA prices. The beef was the most flavorful. Nothing particularly special about the flavor - just that it could stand on its own and not be overpowered by the chopped onions and cilantro topping that I had requested. My next favorite was the roast pork. Again, good flavor and great texture with a nice amount of fat. What was disappointing was the nopales relish - there was no sight of it! Or if there was, I was too hungry to notice. The beef tongue was what I had been looking forward to since the friendly lady at the counter handed me my to-go box. But it fell short of expectations. "Bland" is the best way I can describe it. It was as if I were eating an empty taco. In general, I would say the tacos at Taki have left me wanting more - more flavor, more kick, more "POW!". It's the reason for the 3 stars. But they score higher on friendliness, cleanliness, COVID consciousness, and potential. I hope they continue to improve and I look forward to returning.

I ordered this on DoorDash a few days ago. It was 8:05 pm when I placed the order. DoorDash confirms my order and my driver. The restaurant confirmed the order. I wasn't sure when they closed but DoorDash said it was like 9:30pm, so I figured an hour and a half would be enough time. Nope! 9:15pm rolls around. I call my driver, they say they haven't picked it up yet. Immediately I get an email from DoorDash saying the restaurant cancelled my order! They waited until 9:15pm to cancel it?? That's an hour and ten mins AFTER the order was placed! I couldn't have been more disappointed and will never attempt to order from this place again, unless they reach out and apologize or explain themselves. On the plus side, DoorDash handled this pretty well and gave me some credits to use on a future order. I got tacos from a different restaurant the next day.

The corn tortillas are dry and flavorless. The rest was decent, they just need to rethink the menu and provide more options.

Ordered 2 quesidillas, one had a giant moldy patch right in the middle. Cheese was barely even melted.

Steak taco was good but $3.99 for a little street taco?? You've got to be kidding. Not worth the very over priced food

Amazing food and great costumer service. I tried the shrimp tacos for the first time and absolutely loved them. Will be back again.

And, I'm not sure if this place serves the best tacos on the planet, but I can say that they certainly serve the best tacos that I've ever had! I came here just after flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX). I hadn't eaten since I was in Los Angeles because I refuse to eat that terrible airplane food. Needless to say, I was pretty hungry by the time I arrived. I walked in without a reservation, at about 9pm, and they appeared to be moderately busy. Shortly after entering a friendly hostess guided me to a comfortable booth. As I looked around this business, I was immediately pleased with the "cool vibe" that this place had. Several folks were either dining together or socializing at the bar. My immediate thought was that this would be a really pleasant place to take someone special on a date. Shortly after being seated, a waitress stopped by my table and introduced herself. Her name was Alayna. Seeing that I was new to this restaurant, she quickly went over the menu and other details unique to this restaurant. She was also careful to ask if I had any food allergies, because a lot of folks have these. I told her how much I appreciated her focus on this because two of my kids have food allergies that I have to watch out for. I ordered a pomegranate limonada to drink, which was incredibly refreshing. For my first round of tacos, I ordered the "baja fish" taco, the "roasted duck" taco, and the "sesame ribeye" taco. For my second round, I ordered the "carne asada" taco, the "yukatán shrimp" taco, and the "crispy oyster" taco. And boy, these tacos not only satisfied my hunger, they were all absolutely delicious! Throughout my experience here, Alayna was incredibly professional, attentive, and pleasant. If you're ever in the Reston area, I would highly recommend that you stop by here for a meal. This was a solid five-star experience!

This time, it was extremely spicy to the point that it was inedible. Please consider adding a note or warning for super spicy dishes so customers know what to expect before ordering. Unfortunately, this meal ended up being a waste of time and money for me.

For many of my friends, when we visit this area, Crooked Run is now a destination because of the tacos (as well as the beer). I do find them delicious and nicely spiced. For me, their price is slightly below average among places I visit, so I find them to be a good deal, especially since they come in slightly larger tortillas - and double layered at that. Their lamb tacos - now 2 styles - are incredibly popular among my group, but I've never had a bad taco there. But the tacos are very messy. Perhaps they have a little too much - even double layered, some of the tacos fall apart as I eat them. Also their method of delivery is a little inconsistent. Two of us ordered two tacos each at the same time. One got his on a tray, I got mine in a little cardboard holder. Maybe they have a limited number of trays? No matter, it's not how they're presented, it's how they taste. And for that, I say "Si Senor!"

They were made in about 7 minutes and were all very good tacos with the super Ramon being my favorite. I loved the cheese flour tortilla and the carne asada/chorizo combo. It was very savory and all meshed quite well together. The other tacos were also quite good. For $6 ea they were on the more expensive side but did fill me up. Overall a solid spot to get tacos that I would gladly come back to. Food(50%): 8.3 Staff/service(25%): 6.5 Value(25%): 6.0 Overall: 7.3/10
