It's Friday night, and tonight's video takes us to Uncle Joe's Pizza, where they're running a special: two cuts of pizza with a free small soda. I went for a plain slice, a sweet sauce slice, and a mushroom slice. Their slices are huge--one is about the size of two cuts from other places. They also have a massive pie called "the colossal," though I haven't tried it yet and might not, since that's a lot of pizza. They don't skimp on toppings--the mushroom slice was loaded and nicely thin-cut, crisp and flavorful. The sweet sauce had a pleasant, balanced taste, and the plain slice had that classic old-school vibe. Great service, delicious pizza--I highly recommend Uncle Joe's. First time here overall decent. Food/Drink: Pizza by the slice! Pretty weird New York style pizza. Limited amount of options and combos. Full Italian style menu, appetizers, entrees, pizza, soups, salads, and desserts! Pizza: Needed more crunch not too much, left me wanting more of a bite. Very flavorful, super oily though, the cheeses is the culprit. Pizza tips were burnt, too much heat lamp time. Sauce was a little too sweet could have used a little more garlic but hey is it ever enough?! The answer is No... Dinning Area: Pretty large, open, area. Benches, large counter, outdoor option. This is a little pizza shop in the same plaza with Wine and Spirits and a Chinese Buffet. This was my first visit as I was super hungry before meeting a friend and was hoping they had slices of pizza already prepared. They did! I got two meat lovers and a drink (There was a deal but the slices were so big I couldn't eat the second!). They weren't skimpy with the meat and these slices of pizza are ginormous!!! They are thin, which is my fave and even the dough/pizza crust has a good flavor. They have a big menu. We'll definitely be ordering from here again! read more

I came in to Uncle Joe's for a couple of slices. The people were friendly and the service was good which is why I gave them three stars. The pizza itself was mediocre at best. I really wasn't impressed but then again I've had a hard time finding a really good pizza here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Summary: nope, nope, and nope. Also NOPE. Walked in Sunday night for a dinner slice and was ignored at the register. Had to be like "excuse me, can I have one slice of pizza"? An unkept man in a baseball hat, which I'm assuming is Uncle Joe or his useless 45-year old kid that still lives in Uncle Joes' basement (I nicknamed him Bobby), gestured over to a slew of cold pizzas while talking to the pizzas instead of me, and said pick one. Bobby then proceeded to talk to another employee about my order, which I was meant to overhear and possibly interrupt to add more food. I didn't, so everyone went about their business and my pizza slice was tossed into the oven. There were no verbal cues directed at me to pay, so I asked for a drink before this man could talk to the cash register while expecting me to telepathically know the total. "Oh you want a drink? Which one???" I chose my drink, sat down, and waited about 5 minutes before my pizza was warmed up. The pizza. Triple sigh. Burnt cheese/topping on an unsalted cracker crust. I can't. Uncle Joe needs to know what Bobby has been up to. Dear Uncle Joe, It's time to send the boy to trade school to learn basket weaving or whatever because he's driving away all your customers. If I could give zero stars I would, it took 30 minutes to make three sandwiches when there was no one else in the building!! And no there were no online or phone orders either, the sandwich was dry and they used bad lettuce. Pizza during Lent, I did not expect instant service...but attempting to call for an hour with nothing but an option to leave a message. Ok, I stop in to place a delivery order...an hour, but again it's Lent...so I'm not surprised. First off....NO ONE charges full price for a topping if you only order a half topping, come on....especially when I order it face to face and you don't bat an eye to charge me full. Kudos to your driver for explaining your policy, even more to where he tells me "I said I would get you credit" and he did. I was looking for a slice of pizza, stopped in Uncle Joe's. I got 2 slices and boneless bites. WOW!! The bites were actually pieces of real chicken breast. Never saw that anywhere else. So check this out...I call here because it just opened and it's close to my house. Even though the reviews are pretty bad I like the fact that they deliver. Anyways I call them and the girl in the phone tells me they have a $25.00 minimum to deliver. Pretty steep for this area. I ask where I can find a menu and she's not really sure but tells me they have a Facebook page. I tell her I'll call back after I choose. I choose and call. Before I even get a chance to order I hear someone in the back ground pretty much encouraging NOT to order. He says it's going to be well over an hour. A better name for this place would be Uncle Joke's Pizza & Snubs. I've ordered food from this establishment on more than one occasion. Usually I go for the pizza, and wings. When the pizza isn't just tasteless, it's actually tasteless and burnt. I've encountered the burnt pizza issue more than one time. In fairness to UJ's, they did credit me $15 for one awful pie that they sold me. That being said, my most recent experience has left me with no other choice but to boycott them completely. After ordering pizza & wings at 7:40 via Uber Eats, I was given a 45 minute wait time. At 9:00pm I still had no food, so I called UJ's. They informed me that the Uber driver had just arrived. Keep in mind, I was located less than a mile away. An hour later, my food had still not shown up. The only thing I hate more than bad service, is being lied to. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you like burnt pizza and wasting time. read more
