I did a yelp search and we ventured over this way one afternoon and we were impressed. The menu was explained to us before we ordered our food, which was a nice touch. I really wanted to enjoy this spot especially since it was featured on Triple S but I see that it was so long ago since this location was aired. Seen, came, and didn't enjoy. Came all the way to Memphis from Florida on a girls trip...and while we were looking for some good ole home cooked southern soul BBQ we didn't find it. But we most certainly did find some southern soul at Uncle Lou's Fried Chicken! This place is a hole in the wall in a shopping center, that serves you on a good ol plastic plate. The food was absolutely excellent. The honey biscuits were literally mouth watering, the chicken was fried and dipped to perfection! I had the 3pc tenders that were excellent and so tender! The fried pickles, corn nuggets, French fries were the dynamic trio! Uncle Lou showed so much love and hospitality! As for your belongings... stow them, don't show them and triple check that your doors are locked and your windows up but you will not be disappointed!
