If you haven't tried Uncle Mikes Kringle in Appleton Wisconsin, I highly suggest you do! This bakery is unlike any other! They offer several different kinds of Kringle including apple Kringle and the turtle! Both are delicious and amazing!

The OG location and source of the current bakery love of my life. The Kringle is absolutely fabulous. Flaky and sweet, a variety of fillings to select. Unfortunately not all are available in store, but being the flagship more here than elsewhere. Samples are abound to tempt your tastebuds. And the help are the sweetest old ladies. Worth the trip to Greenbay alone in my book

There is no better Kringle than from Uncle Mikes. I haven't strayed away from the sea salt Carmel Kringle, it never disappoints!

Not impressed with the donuts. Cookies are fine. The donuts gave my daughter a stomachache.

Love Uncle Mikes... it's just good stuff! Every time we have out of state visitors in town, we make a trip to Uncle Mike's.

We've found ourselves in this particular moment, him 5 years sober, me 26 and often confusing experiences of pain and pleasures on the thin ice of addiction. Today we are in wisconsin, visiting family, having coffee to stay at a cafe my grandma recommended we go to. She has my tiny brother, so it's just my dad and I, how things were for 16 years. We work as a team to find free parking. We love doing team things to save a dollar, a minute, or find a loophole. We decide on our coffees, and when the barista asks if we'll have them to stay my dad says yes, which brings a smile to my mind. He suggests we share this berry oat bar thing. One thing I find so charming about his sobriety is his need for sweets. It's somewhere in trainspotting 2 that mark tells spud "you'll always be an addict. You just have to find something else to get addicted to." I think of this when i see him with a big fat bowl of ice cream after dinner and a new exciting hobby every other month. I think of this when I consider what my life might be like if I decide to admit some things to myself sooner than later. But right now it's me and my father, having coffee to stay in cute mugs, no rushing, no changing things, just farting around in a midwest summer.
