Very disappointed . Preordered 2 kringles (1cherry, and 1 salted nut caramel, and a loaf of bread) the Friday before thanksgiving to have for thanksgiving. We arrived at 2:15 to pick up our order and were told they were out of cherry kringles! How do you run out of something that was preordered? Again, extremely disappointed. So we returned a second time once again after the kids shots. We wanted to purchase a Kringle for my mom who's going through chemo since she says nothing tastes very good, we hope it hit the spot for her. Anyways, this time while visiting the staff was mostly high school age looking kids, all very friendly and sweet, some still learning but that's definitely okay with me! We were also greeted by a lady named Mary who was VERY KIND! She took her time with us answering questions and told us popular items, I asked about angel food cake and she showed me MANY all freshly made. We told her that she was so much nicer than the last person we saw here and she thought she knew who we were talking about and shared concern and that she'll speak with her. But Mary even through in an extra long john for our nephew. We found out during the transaction that Mary and her husband Mike are the owners. It was just a night and day difference in staff from last time, bakery was very busy as usual which means good food, and the desserts were wonderful yet again! A friend told me that there is a pastry called a kringle that would be worth trying on our visit to Wisconsin. Boy, was he right! Thanks to Yelp, we found Uncle Mike's. This bakery has samples of all kinds of kringles - we tried strawberry cream cheese, raspberry, salted caramel, one that was something like a chocolate covered cream filled donut, and a few others. These things are dangerously delicious!!! Luckily, they let you buy a half, which is still plenty, but it gets devoured a lot quicker than you might think. If you are flying home after stopping here, just do yourself a favor and buy a whole one. Your mouth will thank you. We ended up getting the strawberry one, but there is no wrong choice here. I ordered a cake from Uncle Mikes a few days ago and when I went to pick it up it was not what I ordered. I asked for a white-blue-black ombré cake with a black drip, and black roses around the rim. With happy birthday in the center. What I got was a white frosted cake with chocolate drip and a few clack roses on the left side. That is not even close to what I ordered I do not recommend you get cakes from here. This is the second time they have messed up my cake order. The breads are great but the service is not good. As I was ordering my bakery items, the ladies behind the counter were talking pretty much ignoring me and what I needed. This happens a lot. Pretty soon the service will turn me away and I'll need to find a different bakery. read more

Love the breads, love the donuts. The sea salt caramel kringle is good, but we bought half a raspberry kringle as well, and we ended up scooping out most of the raspberry filling. It tasted artificially flavored and it was WAY too much filling. When you pay $8.50 for half of a kringle, you expect it to be phenomenal. I wasn't very pleased with it. read more

The donuts are amazing, the chicken salad is fantastic and the Carmelita bars are to die for. We have ordered cakes a few times, but they always seem to be on the dry side. I think the Piggly Wiggly does a much better job with cakes. read more

Great friendly service. Loved the conversation with the gentleman that served me. I tried a few of the kringles and bought the Old Fashioned flavored one and half of a pecan one. Both were the highlight with coffee the next day. We even ate some during happy hour, lol. Priced very good as well. Can't wait to go back. read more

Wow...the Salt Caramel Pecan Kringle is the REAL DEAL. The only thing keeping it from a 5/5 is that the vanilla latte I ordered wasn't hot.

Awesome bakery! The Carmelita bars are like heaven! The Graham Cracker cake is so good! Almost as good as the old Ford's bakery cake. All in all this is the best bakery you'll find. The Kringle really is just so good! It would be easy to lose yourself in here in all the deliciousness! read more

The kringle by far is 5 stars for sure. The service and the cake not so much. Red velvet cupcake was dry as was other cakes. Service--let me say I felt intruding asking for help when I ordered my wedding cake. The kringle is the only thing worth the star rating. That is off the chain good. My review didn't seem to post so writing another one, just wanted to make sure this got up there for the Bakery. GREAT flavor on those Chocolate Chunk with sea salt cookies. I have never had any trouble with service! I am guessing EVERY place may have that problem from time to time, just a bad day for everyone, but Mike's really is a wonderful bakery. I drive an hour for the cookies, because now I have my sons and son in law hooked on them. My Aunt who lives in DePere started me on them. Kringle is amazing and they always have samples. Gluten free cookies are amazing! Definitely would recommend the Pecan Kringle.

I'm not a sweets eater but I'm a regular at Uncle Mike's for the fabulous fresh bread (you can get a half loaf sliced if, like us, you are a two-person household and love that great soft inside and crusty outside). The Kringle is a must for weekends when we have guests and no visit from the grandchildren is complete without a trip to Uncle Mike's for the donuts. I have purchased turtle donutes from uncle Mikes and they are great. This time around I purchased Packer cupcakes and red velvet cupcakes, they were so dry I could have split crumbs out in the air. Their award-winning kringle is AMAZING!!!!! If you have not had anything from Uncle Mikes, you need to stop here! They have everything: bread and pastries, cookies, muffins, pies, pot pies, homemade butter, etc. If you have time to wait for a couple minutes, try out a breakfast sandwich. They are AWESOME!!! Purchased a blueberry swirl cheesecake for $20 and it was less than great. It had very little sweetness, couldn't really taste much blueberry at all, and there were pockets of unblended cream cheese. Really disappointing especially considering the cost. I had such high hopes because I had heard so many great things about this bakery, but I was left quite disappointed. However, while deciding on the cheesecake, they did have free tastes of some items and there was some type of caramel crumble bar that was to die for. read more
