Uncle Mo's is everything you want in a classic dive bar and more. The atmosphere is laid back with a big bar and plenty of seating, making it perfect for gatherings. We held my dad's karaoke memorial here, and the staff could not have been more kind, accommodating, and genuinely supportive, they made a difficult day feel warm and memorable. The service was fantastic, drinks were strong and affordable, and the food was a huge surprise in the best way. The mushroom burger was delicious, and the fettuccine alfredo was fresh, flavorful, and a very generous portion. Karaoke night was a blast, the host kept the energy up, there were tons of fun participants, and even space to dance. It really brought everyone together. Parking can be a little tricky, but there is plenty of street parking nearby if you do not mind a short walk. Overall, an amazing spot with heart, great food, and a welcoming vibe. read more

All parties at the table ordered food. Everyone got their appetizer & no one got their main dish. The waitress with blond hair and thick who took our order never came back to our table...ever? We had to wait an hour to get a fried fish taco from the cook who seemed to have a attitude. Because it was an hour later, the food was taken to go. This place is dirty and disgusting but the attitude of our waitress and the cook was totally unacceptable. There is absolutely zero customer service from this particular waitress and frankly she treats African Americans like we are not welcome at this establishment. I've been looking for a good dive bar since moving to the Renton area last summer from SW Portland, and let me tell ya I found it. My first impression was an old timer sitting on the front patio smoking a cig and having a pint at 10 am, first box checked. The first two times I went were a Saturday morning and Friday evening and both time everyone was friendly, the bar tenders were attentive and friendly, the regulars are welcoming. I've been here a few times and each time I have always had a great time with friends. There are regulars who come, sometimers and every once in whilers and always someone's first time - but everyone here is friendly and welcoming. You won't find a pretentious crowd here. I always love hitting this spot when I'm in the mood for some karaoke the DJ has been there for years and always gets the crowd going. The service is always friendly and the security always makes me feel safe. I usually get nachoes when I come but this time I decided to explore outside of my usually food item and get the Willy's wings which I have heard great things about and a Philly cheesesteak. The cheesesteak came with Ajou sauce, which I thought was really weird, but tried it with and without anyways. It kind of tasted off either way. Wasn't a fan. Next up was Willy's wings they were fried to a perfect crisp but not as flavorful as I hoped. It was more oily than flavorful. While I was pleased with the entertainment the food missed the mark this time. I'm not sure if I'll explore the menu again next time. I think nachoes is a safe bet for the future. read more

I was tempted to go single star, but it wasn't the worst place in the world. We got here at open and it was honestly depressing to see people drinking heavy at 9am. The people at the table next to us smelled so bad it's clear they must smoke in bed, because I actually coughed when they sat down. Never in my life have I experienced someone so smoky. Service was slow and like most bars, the server gets upset when you don't order alcohol. We came for breakfast, but I guess food is just a side hustle for this place and pouring drinking is the butter on their bread. So after waiting at least 15 minutes to have our order taken, it was a while before the food came. Personally, I had an omelette. It was decent and had a fair amount of meat in it. That said, the hashbrowns were weird. There weren't crisp and didn't have much potato flavor. One thing about breakfast, you need to make sure everything is on point, if the meat isn't cooked well, eggs are dark or brown aren't brown, you fail. The breakfast was $16, in hindsight, 13 coins does an amazing omelette for $18, and for $2 more you get a breakfast that is 10x better. After we finished, we had to wait 15 more minutes for our check because our server was only concerned with alcohol and pull tabs. We were there for almost 90 minutes and we could have been in and out in half that time. Bottom line, not worth the money, not delicious and the place is just overall dark and depressing. read more

Uncle Mo's Bar and grill came through for me on Covid date night Friday. Try to go to ACME becuz I thought bowling alleys were open. Noted: Still closed! Then I tried to go to the Local 907 which I love, but they had no available tables with covid restrictions. So the door guy directed us to Mo's. It was very lively inside and easy to get a table. Huge selection of beers on tap was a plus. Service was great and workers were very attentive! Good vibes in there for sure! Everyone in the just seemed like they were in a good mood. I ordered a french dip with a side salad and it was delicious! Not to salty, not all greasy, like they sometimes are. This was a good experience! No karaoke due to covid, but hey maybe in 2021. My wife's workplace has someone moving to a different and they want celebrate his going a way and chosen this place to party. We had already halfway into our first pitcher of beer, one of her co-workers could not get into the place because he still has the vertical driver's license even though he is 22. On this trip in I had the chance to sample the Mo's Wings (chicken drumettes tossed in which ever sauce you select, they have other whole wings tossed in a teriyaki too), the onion rings (lightly battered and extremely underwhelming in both taste and appearance), and my coworker got the cheese burger which looked like something on par with or lightly below that of Denny's. Im not saying the food here is terrible though; however, it's not the kind of food that will have you making demands of everyone you've ever met to go try either. It simply does the trick. In it's defense it was the morning and we happened to order lunch food (we work graveyard) and everyone else was ordering breakfast. The drinks and price of the drinks is one area this place does shine. The beers are cheap and the wells are seeming "stuck on happy hour prices," which was a breath of fresh air in a area that seemingly thinks everyone works for Amazon. They are also open every early 7am which was nice as well. Additionally, the staff was nice and attentive which was a plus too which was the only reason I gave 3 stars. While I may never be back for the food, I may stop in for the early morning cocktail after a long stressful night of Social Work.
