Seriously?! You say you're open until 2am. I show up at midnight for a last call. You're closed. Bullshit!!

The service was great, no long lines at the bar and the bartender was very responsive to everyone's needs.

Its open concept here now and it looks great, much better than the old layout (forgot what the restaurant was called before). Lots of screens with the soccer games on for the world cup. Nice drink specials, $25 bottomless mimosas and $40 for bottomless micheladas. The micheladas are good! We had the Birria eggs Benedict and Birria de Res plates. All good flavors! If you like spicy, ask for their spicy sauces, they got a secret habanero creamy salsa! Chips and salsa are $4 and the black bean dip is another $3. Worth it! Homemade tortilla chips and a good portion of refried black beans. Even though its brunch menu time, you can still order from the main menu. Good stuff, we'll back!

Our waitress was incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout our visit. The food arrived fairly quickly, which was appreciated for a large group. The only downside was the chilaquiles I ordered--they could have used a bit more flavor. The red and green sauces were mild, and I didn't really taste much from them. However, the tinga was delicious, and the drinks were excellent. They were definitely on the stronger side, but I'm not complaining! Overall, we had a great experience. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and I would definitely return for the drinks and to try some other dishes on the menu.

I'm so glad we decided to stay and eat... the crispy chicken sandwich was fabulous! Definitely will order again if in the area. Breakfast was what my sister ordered and she raved... no leftover. But if you want a solid,…read moredown-to-earth breakfast that actually hits the spot, you need to check out The Firestarter Bar in Kent. I've been in a few times and am impressed by the quality of the food. My hats off to the chef! Here's the breakdown of the meal: The Food Chicken Fried Steak: This wasn't one of those cheap frozen patties that's all breading. It was nice and thick with just the right amount of crunch. Sausage Gravy: The gravy can make or break this dish, and they nailed it. It was thick, savory, and had tons of flavor. Stuffed Hash Browns: I upgraded my regular hash browns to the stuffed version with bacon, and it was the best decision of the day. They were perfectly fried and crispy--exactly how hash browns should be. Over Easy Eggs: It's surprisingly hard to find a place that doesn't overcook these lately, but mine came out exactly as ordered. Pancakes: I swapped my toast for pancakes, and they were fluffy and light. They serve them with soft whipped butter and syrup, which makes a huge difference. The Service The real star of the morning was Debbie. She's essentially a one-woman show--running the bar, waiting tables, and serving everyone. She is absolutely awesome and keeps the place moving smoothly. It's rare to see that kind of hustle these days. The Verdict Don't let the "bar" label or the exterior scare you off. It's a friendly, welcoming spot with better food than most dedicated breakfast joints in the area. Give this place a chance--you won't regret it.

The restaurant ambiance is unmatched and it's obvious they put lots of consideration and care into their design and food. We were so impressed with the empanadas (cheesy chicken and beef) and special sauces. The chicken salad arepas was packed with protein. We can't wait to come back to try their other dishes! Though we both liked our entrees, we both thought the protein quality of the mains is just ok. The winning dish is the mini arepas, hands down. I would order those mini arepa for my entree easily. This location is roomy. Service is warm; our server was helpful answering questions. The Food: Arepitas Fritas, $17 - 5+ Stars Four mini arepa in the appetizer section, these start with the same cornmeal (masa de maíz) base as the normal arepa, then topped with cheese, slow cooked beef, quail egg, and pink sauce. These bites are sooooo good! They sell the full-size arepas also, which will likely be a future meal. :) Platanos Fritos, $8 - 5 Stars Gotta love Latin foods with their plantains. Simple and delicious. Theirs are perfectly prepared. Camarones de Ajillo, $19 - 3.5 Stars These shrimps are cooked in garlic, herbs, and cream. The herb butter sauce is excellent, but the shrimps' quality is just ok. We liked it enough but will not order again. Asado Negro Tips, $23 - 3.5 Stars 8 oz of NY strip are cooked cubed in asado sauce, served with yuca fries and quasaca, a mini tomato and avocado salad. Again, the asado sauce is excellent, but the steak pieces are on the tough side. The yuca fries didn't stand out. This is also a 'liked it enough but won't order again' dish.
