What a great place! Met a colleague here for lunch today. He had been here previously and told me that he favored this place because of the Spanish influenced menu. I trusted his judgment and let him order for us. We started with an order of beef empanadas. Very generous in size and three per order. We opted for the beef with one being spicy and two being more neutral. They were perfectly done and quite tasty. We had another beef entrée which was layered with marinara sauce. Interesting combination, but it worked. Delicious and very filling. Our server was very attentive and kept our glasses full and stopped by our table frequently to make sure that everything was OK. They feature live entertainment during the week and also have Trivia. Located directly next to the team store at the landing in Renton. Plenty of parking available and a great location. We went to Trenchers last night to watch the Mexico v Ecuador World Cup knock out game, thinking that with 10 tv screens around the place they are friendly for these kind of huge games. About 70% of those inside were there for the game. At just before 8:00 the Karaoke dude who runs it on Tuesdays race-walked past the tv right in front of us and SLAPPED it to face the other way - apparently so those on stage doing karaoke can see the lyrics. No words to us like "hey there - just to let you know we use this for karaoke so I'll need to shift the direction of the screen." It was like a hit and run move, and we were speechless. We asked about them using a different screen but not possible so we shifted our table to face the other screens further away. Tip for the restaurant: This is World Cup soccer - it's once every 4 years and many frequent your place to watch in community. This karaoke guy was such a rude jerk to the manager and to us, and it was the cringiest thing to try to watch a big game with karaoke BLARING out of the speakers. He's a true word class a$$ who was yelling at her (manager) and us when all he had to do was be a decent human and explain. Next time maybe put a little sign on the tv saying at 8:00 it will be used for Karaoke and to plan accordingly. I would NEVER go on Tuesday if you don't plan to marinate in the karaoke crowd - you will be in hell!!! The food was just ok, and had it not been for this terrible guy and the hideously loud speakers - we would have had a much better time - but would not have chosen this spot to watch a game, heaven forbid on a Tuesday! read more

1 star -- Rude staff, with bad attitude Just moved to Renton and thought we'd check this place out today to catch the end of the Mexico/England Copa match. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. We sat at the bar and were greeted with zero warmth -- no "hello," no acknowledgment, just an immediate "we close in 10 minutes" from the woman working the bar, delivered with a clear attitude. When we asked if we'd be able to finish watching the match, the bartender curtly said they close at 8 and said it's posted at the door, then added that we'd "have to go after" -- as if we'd said we were planning to camp out and drink all night, when all we wanted was to watch the last few minutes of a game. On top of that, we watched another patron who'd been eating on the deck bring his dishes back inside, clearly trying to be considerate, and the same woman brushed him off with "you don't have to do that" -- not even a thank you for the gesture. Nothing about the food or drinks stood out because the attitude at the bar overshadowed everything else. A great spot at The Landing to get some drinks and good food. The staff are very friendly and the service is fast. It's a large restaurant with a sports bar. The Ruben was flavorful and paired well with the side Caesar which was large. The Milanese was thin lightly breaded steak and the fries rounded it out. The pork tacos were fresh and delicious. This is tough because Trenchers has a home in my heart where nostalgia lives. I have come here so frequently through the years and still do, but I can't say I love it anymore. Aesthetically Trenchers hasn't changed. The tables are a bit unleveled and the chairs a bit worn but for the most part Trenchers has aged well. The menu is still an eclectic mix of American fare - typical bar food. It is still the best place to watch a football game in the Landing. The food is fine. I typically order the burger when I go, and I never love it. Too much bread to too little meat ratio. The burger often is overcooked and under-seasoned. The cocktails are okay. Not usually the best and typically too sweet. There often is only one Hispanic lady who works here. Be nice to her because often she is alone running the bar, running food, taking orders, and cleaning. Busboys seem to be non-existent. They really seem understaffed these days. Due to this I don't come by as much as I used to. I find myself here and again, but usually if someone else wants to go. I am not ready to call it quits but I am also not seeking them out. read more

Came in for Trivia Night tonight like we've done the past month and today was the worst. Carla or Karla, however you spelled it, was a nightmare to get anything from. Took 30 min to get any drink and food was beyond that. It may be because there was only 2 people on that night but this placed sucked in terms of service and food. I sat at the bar table for about 5 min and both these servers/bartenders looked at me before I realized the only way I was able to get service was to sit at the bar top and even then it took Carla forever to reach me. I had asked her about the Milanesa sliders and she told me they were plain or whatever so I opted out for the Milanesa steak. Before I could tell her I wanted the steak or pork, she walked off while I was talking!! She did this four different times not only to me but to my other family members as well. My Milanesa came and I took one bite, HATED IT. i returned it and it was still on my bill. Carla refused to take it off because she told me "I told you it was dry". You said it about the sliders never about the entree dish. But regardless, it was disgusting and I didn't eat it. Why am I paying for something that I had one bite and it was absolutely revolting? Take this dumb bartender/server off on Thursdays. She's rude, and she's slow and has no manners. Whatever training she had was non existent, and I recommend Trenchers to put her through it again because her mannerisms were beyond appalling. read more

We came in on a late Saturday evening for same late night snacks and dessert. There was a lot of open seating and we chose to sit in the covered outdoor area. Our server was Alexus R and she was AMAZING! She was fun, friendly, checked in with us a ton, and even sent other servers to help us when she was busy. I would go back just to be served by her again - she's great! We ordered the Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and honey mustard, fries, steak tacos, and the pecan and caramel lava cake with ice cream. Visited Trenchers on a Tuesday night with a couple of friends. Had no knowledge of it being Comedy Night so we enjoyed some dinner with the company of comedians in the background. The show was okay. Had some hits had some misses. People were coming and going, so you can stay to enjoy the show or leave whenever you feel like it. Food was decent. Ordered the Black & Bleu. I visited last Friday with coworkers for lunch and I was hoping that the menu would have improved since the last time I visited years ago. This is honestly a five star environment, food, drink options and Karaoke Friday and Tuesday nights with a FANTASTIC HOST. Three stars is a direct response to unreliable kitchen times and closing Friday night at midnight!!! Karaoke folks are serious about our mic therapy and alcohol and cutting off so clearly compared to other venues is a hard sell. Additionally they've opted to host a Karaoke competition for multiple weeks every Friday which cuts into regular Karaoke time giving regulars maybe an hour and a half to sing. With a large rotation this means many will sing and leave cutting into alcohol sales which makes no sense. Please extend the hours and my review will go to five stars again! read more

The staff is always chill, there have only ever been three front of house at the most that I've ever seen, so if someone is critical they clearly haven't worked food service. They're busy. The place is good for groups, but give them a heads up. Don't show up with 6+ and get annoyed if you have to wait. They're always busy at lunch and game days. They have tons of TVs so it checks out. The only thing that keeps me from making them a regular spot is they close at 9pm!! It's a pub! A sports bar! Come on. Im not saying stay open until midnight or later, 10pm maybe? I met up with an old buddy for some beer and chow on a random Monday evening. Really low key, chill vibes. Sat at the bar with no one bumping elbows. Service was super friendly and quick. Especially with the Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Sunday, September, 26th, we decided to go to Trenchers since it had been awhile. As My other half was stuck home during the pandemic. Everything has changed. Even the atmosphere felt quiet and off. Use to be lively and bubbly. Even when only a few tables. Ordered My Usual... The Crab Benedict plus the Bottomless Mimosas. To start, the Mimosa was nasty. Had a fowl taste to it and even My other half tried it, agreed, and said to return it. Yet, since I have been a server in the past, I always try to be nice to Restaurants and Staff. Being Bottomless, I just forced Myself to drink the first one. Took awhile but finally got it down. When it was time to get another Mimosa, I let the waitress know about the taste being off. Maybe bad Orange Juice. She went to investigate. My other half could see the staff all checking out the Juice and Mimosas, etc. Our waitress brought a bottle of Tropicana to show what they used. The bottle looked like it hadn't been shook up at all. Let the waitress know that it could be from the separation and just needed to be shaken up. She then had a Large Pitcher premade of Champagne and Mimosa. Same pitcher as she used before, even though I said it was foul. Filled up the same glass that did have an inch on the bottom as it was the worst, just couldn't finish it. Instead of a new glass after My concerns, she just mixed with the old stuff and made it worse. She clearly was not understanding. So I was nice, tried to drink it, this time was worse. Only got a quarter of the way down and had to stop. The mimosa was not the only issue.. Even the food was different. Usually My benedict has fluffy cheese biscuits at the bottom. This time, more compact and barely could taste any of the cheese. This was the part that made the item so great that I kept returning. The egg was slightly over done to where it would not run. Part of the whole part of a benedict is to open the egg and let it ooze all down the dish. Overall, the dish felt like it had not much flavor and very blah. What pushed Me over the edge to do a review.. At the time of the bill, the Mimosa was still on the ticket. Normally, I wouldn't mind and if they charged Me for only 1, I would have been fine. Yet, since it was bottomless, they charged Me $25 for FOUL MIMOSAs. The price practically doubled since last having brunch. Obviously, I was not too upset at the price, that I ordered it. In the past, you could ask for any juice flavor, not just orange juice. However, I was denied this time told only Orange Juice. All in All.... Trenchers went from a great quality location to a run down restaurant that is trying to hold on to its business but going to slowly keep using them if they do not start to clean the place and produce quality food and drinks again. Yeah, I said clean in there.... The lights were covered in spider webs, walls covered in dust. The place looks like all they clean is the Tables and Floor. A friend and I came to Trenchers for bottomless mimosas and brunch - Buyer beware, bottomless mimosas are $30 per person and require a meal to be purchased ! - we were persuaded to go with the mimosa flight which was still $30 per person (4 flavored mimosas). Overall the drinks could've definitely been stronger & cheaper, $30 is a bit much in my opinion. The food wasn't bad with decent portions, though the crab Benedict was a little fishy. Good prices for food, but I would skip the bottomless mimosas. The service was a little slow, even though we came at 11:30am and there were maybe 4 or 5 groups of people in the restaurant, but there was good music playing and the sound level was respectable. Unmmm where do I begin. We get here on a trivia night unbeknownst to us and we order a hot toddy and a drink off the menu. The toddy was not hot it was lukewarm (sent it back) and the drink was mostly pre mixed purée. Then the food comes we order the salmon and calamari. The calamari was some cold fish sticks and the salmon was dry and packed seasoning. Best thing on the plate was the coleslaw. We ordered another drink coke and jack and then an order of sweet potato fries. The drink was all coke and ice and the sweet potato fries were super greasy, and burnt. Then the bill comes. My hit toddy was still listed on the bill and the bartender stared us down with a despising look from across the room as the waitress went and had it removed. It was clear we were standing there too. We didn't even sit we just left. No future plans to come back. Thank you Nicole for responding however I have a VERY good understanding of the staffing issue as I work in hospitality. I have since 2020 so perhaps that attitude is quite unwarranted. Average or better. The place itself is nothing special. In fact, it seemed a little worn but it was clean. It was fine. Calendar on the wall had a bunch of comedy and music gigs lined up. Stage in the center of the place. Bartender was great. I didn't catch her name but she was super friendly and helpful and did a great job making a great experience. Would I come back? Sure. I was a little disappointed to find the "late" menu isn't as expansive as their posted menu. We each ordered a pizza, and I ordered the Caesar salad to share. The salad was quite large, and tasted great. The Italian pizza was delicious, as well. Stopped in for a quick bite before a movie and ordered the Philly Cheesesteak it was not good. The bread was described as a roll from Macrina Bakery but it seemed like any old store bought hoagie roll, the 'house' cheese sauce was probably nacho cheese from a bag, the steak was meh.
