Unfortunately, the consistency has become very hit-or-miss depending on the day or even the time of day. The vegetables are the biggest issue. Sometimes they're perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, while other times they're nearly raw, lack seasoning, or are sitting in excess liquid from the steaming process. The rice is similar--it can be perfectly cooked one visit and overcooked or undercooked the next. The chicken, on the other hand, is usually excellent and consistently flavorful. My concern is that the side dishes have become increasingly inconsistent over recent visits, and lately they've been more disappointing than not. I hope the restaurant can improve its quality control because I know how good the food can be when it's prepared the way it's meant to be.

I got the Pura Vida bowl which is an acai, base, blueberry flax granola, blueberries, strawberries and honey. Here's my issue- the acai base is too sweet. It feels more like a dessert than a fruit-forward recharge. The blueberry flax granola was not good either. Out of all the granolas I've tried in my life, this one is ranked dead-last. It tasted sweet and yet not sweet at the same time. There was something deeply unsatisfying about it. The fruit was good and plentiful, but if I was in it for just the fruit, I could've bought a container of blueberries and strawberries for half the price of this bowl. I think this place will do fine if people are looking for more of a sweet treat than a true, healthy acai bowl. For health nuts like myself, this is a hard pass.
