The Kai Soi curry soup is excellent here but they often don't have it available with bone-in chicken legs which is my preference. Probably most people find the legs hard to eat I suppose. The green curry is still a bit overpowered with ginger flavor so I can't recommend it. The service was phenomenal when I visited for lunch last week. They refilled my water four times! Noodle wave has tons of good food. My fav is the crispy chicken in green curry. I usually order that. It's flavourful and portions are pretty good. Nowadays a lot of restaurants tend to skimp out and it leaves me disappointed. Other things I've ordered here are the pad Thai, pad kee mao, Tom kha soup. I don't like the pad Thai here so I can't recommend it. The pad kee mao here is pretty good though. Very flavourful and good portion of protein and spice. The Tom kha soup is also delicious! I can only speak off my one visit that I found Noodle Wave packs robust, rich flavors in its dishes. My wife and I always test a Thai restaurant by our staples: panang curry, pad thai noodles, and tom kha soup. It was weird - the flavors of the pad thai and panang were not what we're used to. The flavors were very good, but simply not what we were expecting, like there is a plan B to putting these dishes together and we had only ever been served plan A. So it took some getting used to the tastes before we could enjoy them. The other weird thing is that while I don't think we'd ever order those two plates again, the flavors were so exotic and exciting that we definitely want to come back and soon. The menu looks very adventurous now that we know NW uses very fresh ingredients. The wait staff appears consistently relaxed and natural. I like that. Not overbearing or absent, nor fake or indifferent. Everyone seems themselves and it contributes to the calming experience I think eating Thai should be. Speaking of calm, love the design of NW. OK so the best part about this place as we all know, is that they have halal meat. Unfortunately, I did not know that you did not get a bowl of soup in the beginning and that is only for a lunch so that was annoying. Fortunately for us, the food made up for that. The number one thing for me that I liked was that the children's meals came out really fast because if the kids are not happy-- nobody is happy. They got chicken nugget meals that come with ice cream, which is fantastic. They had Vanilla Ice cream, coconut ice cream, and green tea as well as options. Both of my kids chose vanilla and enjoyed it. I felt like the chicken was off in the noodle dishes, pad thai and pad see ew, and so I was not able to eat the actual chicken in the noodle dishes, but I did like the sesame chicken and my favorite was the Orange chicken. After you place your order, you're given a little bowl of soup. The best way to describe it is a Peanut-y Tom Kha. It's creamy, savory, a little spicy and very delicious! We went overboard for lunch and ordered enough for an army: Yum Woonsen - light and refreshing. The clear noodles perfectly absorbed the tangy lime dressing and the shrimp and chicken were cooked to perfection. Rama Peanut Chicken - this creamy sauce makes anything tastes good! Chicken was tender and perfectly spiced. Pumpkin Curry Shrimp - it's a seasonal item. It's close to yellow curry, but not as sweet. The pumpkin gives great texture to the dish. Lo Mein Kao Soy - tender beef with crispy AND soft noodles served with chili oil. Party in your mouth! Pad Thai - definitely a must when trying a Thai restaurant for the first time. This one is a little on the sweet side, but still very good. We washed it all down with a tall glass of Thai tea. Overall an amazing meal! One big plus, the food tastes great as leftovers too! Even though it is not specifically a "Pho" place I absolutely love their Pho! Thai tea is amazing & so is the mango sticky rice. The first time we were here, it was maybe 30 min before they closed and they still treated us amazing, the place was packed and they still had incredible service! I'm honestly shocked by how poor our experience here was dining on a Thursday evening. We've been coming here for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst experience we've had here. First, the service, which was terrible. We were only one of 4 tables here, and there were plenty of servers. My iced tea didn't come until near the end of my meal, and when I reminded the waitress, I told her to just cancel it but she brought it out anyway. It was almost undrinkable because it was so bitter and poorly made. The two entrees we ordered were also not good, the Thai flavors were off balance and was obviously prepared by a cook who wasn't properly trained. I asked for Prik Nam Pla, a staple in any Thai restaurant, and the waitress looked at me like I had 3 heads and clearly had no idea what I was talking about even after I described it. We just took the rest of our food to go, hoping I can doctor it up at home. Please please please fix these issues - it would be horrible to lose this Dallas staple. Spice level was nice (I had a 4 which was not too bad but might be very spicy for others). The only thing is the restaurant is a little small which gives the feeling of crowdedness. However the service is phenomenal and the hostess do a good job in seating us quickly! My girlfriend enjoyed her meal as well. This place is a must. It's great for eating out with friends and family dining. The food has a great flavor to it, and the portion sizes are generous. They have people who go around bussing the tables as soon as someone gets up to make room for the next patron. The restrooms and the restaurant are clean. Actually, in the bathroom, the faucet has a really cool light when you turn it on so don't forget to wash your hands . They have amazing vegetarian egg rolls, which they call crispy spring rolls. Their crab Rangoon's are also really high up on my list. I got the soft shell crab laid on a bed of glass noodles with bean sprouts, and it was delicious, and the presentation was truly fabulous and awe-inspiring. A whole crab had been fried in tempura batter and laid across the top. My friend got the sriracha chicken, which is like orange chicken but spicier, on top of jasmine rice, and she really liked it. For drinks... I ordered the mango tea. They say that it's mixed with jasmine tea and I can taste the tea... vaguely. It's super super sweet. It almost tastes like mango juice.... It's a bit much for me. It's definitely not tea. I also ordered it without ice and the waiter came out and said that it was the owner's policy (Rosie) to portion out the drink sizes for the tea. I was taken aback when they said they couldn't fill my cup to the top and I just didn't like the way they were nickeling and diming me over the portion size because I had requested no ice. When I requested the manager and told her why I didn't like that they did make it right... but I never should have had to have had that conversation and I do think the owner needs to change her policies, and make her tea less sweet. Perhaps she would less concerned about eh cost if she put more green tea and less juice in. The service was really excellent, and the food was as well. I will definitely be coming again in the future, and despite the drink debacle, really enjoyed my visit and would even recommend this place to others as well. read more

Overall 5 star experience! The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu, and flavors of the menu items. Spice level for most dishes are on a scale of 1-4, I could barely taste any spices with #1 (Which was what I wanted). The Pad Thai Chicken was soooo delicious and the dinner portion size is HUGE! It's Foodie Friyay so my coworker and I decided to check out Noodle Wave today. I had been here before, but I just didn't remember my experience since it had been so long. We got there around 12 and we got seated immediately even though it was pretty busy. We noticed they had a lunch special that included soup, an egg role, pad thai, green curry, and a dessert all for $11. Now that is a deal!! So my coworker and I decided to order that. The server brought out the soup ASAP, but it took almost 30+ minutes for our food to come out. We got there at 12:10 and we didn't get our food till 12:40, now that is ridiculous!! Also our server was VERY rude and I saw her snap at the table next to us for no reason. Also she didn't feel the need to apologize for the delay in our food and was very rude when we asked to split the check. If I ever go back, I hope she isn't my server again. Anyways now to the food. The egg role was pretty good, but you can't really go wrong with egg roles. I wasn't really vibing with the green curry. It didn't have enough flavor and had more of a soupy consistency as opposed to a thick curry consistency. The pad thai was alright too, not the best but not the worst either. Overall it made me full so I can't complain. We also got dessert with the lunch special so I got mango ice cream and I think that was the best thing I had there. The mango ice cream was soo good! I think I'll come back for the lunch special because that was a great deal! I also think they change their lunch special every day so next time I'll come on a different day to try something new. I always get the same thing which is the Almond Sriracha Chicken but I've also tried theDrunken Noodles,Pad Kee Mow,Roti Curry, Thai Fried Rice and Basil Fried Rice. All are great options! I just get the Almond Sriracha Chicken every time because it's different from other Thai spots. The rest of the items I can get at other Thai places as well.
