Pokeworks is my go-to place when in a hurry but looking for somewhere fast, clean, and good-tasting. I have been doing the same build-your-own bowl since my first time going (I think i've been almost 25 times now) and I would totally recommend it! I don't love that you have to pay a whole dollar extra for avocado when it's such a tiny scoop, but overall the fish quality is good (salmon is superior) and veggies seem fresh and clean. If you like seaweed salad- it's no extra charge and one of my favorite seaweed salad's I've tried. The drinks are amazing (but pretty pricy) and seating area is comfortable and sleek. Restaurant is kept very clean and overall really good food and reliable portions at this location! I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

Only thing--some toppings are extra and they don't always mention it, so just ask while you're ordering to avoid that awkward moment at checkout. Parking is easy since it's in a big complex, seating is comfy, music was good. No Wi-Fi, which was a little annoying, but not a dealbreaker. tried this once with some friends, and i would not recommend. its well placed in a popular food area + i like that they give a free spam musubi for new members. i think the poke is what i would deem average in dallas. its like not super fresh, not super good... just overpriced for not good quality. i remember the good old days when don don poke was still in plano. that was a good poke spot. another good poke spot is in arlington. i think its hula poke. super super good. lots of ingredients, lots of fish, super cheap, and super yummy. the overall ambiance is clean and its a fast casual restaurant. but since the release of costco sashimi, this is not worth the money/visit. read more

Remind me never to come here again. The way it is overpriced and they nickel and dime you is crazy. My kids can't get a bowl with fish because the only things included for a kids bowl is either tofu or chicken. So I have to get them a bowl I would get. Then, everything is an up charge. I love that Pokeworks partners with classpass! I ordered the yuzu salmon poke bowl and a jasmine milk tea with boba. The bowl was delicious but the boba was subpar. We have been here several times and each time has been consistently good. We usually get the regular bowls which come with a choice of 2 proteins. All the ingredients seem fresh. We tried the musubi (spam wrapped in seaweed and rice) and it was unique, but good. We took our 3 year old with us last time. They don't have a lot of options for kids (understandable), but she enjoyed the pasta salad. We will definitely be back. read more

ORDER - Build Your Own Poke - Ube Latte with Boba Build your own poke was great! They are pretty generous with the portion side which was nice. The seafood and ingredients were very fresh. I also got the Ube Latte with boba which was pretty mid. The boba was really hard and solid. The drink did taste somewhat like ube but mostly tasted like water/milk..? Not quite sure how to describe it. VIBES I went 2 PM and it was pretty quiet. Nice place to study and there are high tables as well a standard table seating. Clean interior and very spacious. Worst poke bowls I have ever had. Ordered the lobster and shrimp special for mom and a Shiso Salmon for myself. The shellfish was, in a word, abysmal. Just sad little shreds of lobster and shrimp. I was shocked at how bad this looked. Almost grey. The salmon bowl was definitely a bit better (because how can you go wrong with salmon) but still lacked freshness and flavor. And the portions and value are horrible. I paid $44 for two small bowls, miso soup, and spicy edamame. The bowls were double the amount of rice I usually see at other places, with tiny scoops of protein and toppings. Plus, they were out of masago (!) and avocado. At 11:30 AM before the lunch rush even hit?? They offered to cut up new avocado for me, thankfully, but when they brought it back out, I was dismayed to see that it was just a giant chunk out of the avocado - not sliced, not cubed, just a big piece of mush for me to deal with on my own. The miso soup comes out of a drink machine. Um. Okay. And the side of spicy edamame... from the photo, I thought I would be getting edamame tossed with some kind of spicy sauce. Nope. Instead, it was just scoops of the edamame from the assembly line and a little container of spice mix for me to add on top. Whut. I will never go back and I would not recommend. read more

Hidden at the side is this Pokeworks at The Hill. Non-stop takeout orders being filled this weeknight. Pleasant enough and efficient were the assemblers. A regular size signature bowl of Spicy Ahi I had. Fresh was the ahi tuna, delicious Sriracha Aioli, and, I loved the textures of the condiments to each bite. From this visit, I am now aware of the measly spoonful of substituted cauliflower rice for the additional cost. Being so, my perfect bowl will cost $6 more for the cauliflower rice. I've been here quite a few times in the past and although I really love poke, I feel like the quality of fish here has gone down a bit. The salmon doesn't look quite as fresh as it did in the past, and I'm surprised they didn't throw out the fish chunks that weren't fresh/turning brown. I ended up getting shrimp because I was too nervous about ordering the fish. All the other ingredients are good though! Poke is one of my favorites foods and having practically lived off it last month in Hawaii, I was definitely craving it so happened to stumble upon this place and decided to try for lunch! So happy I did! It's crazy good ! And really super reasonably priced too!! Had a spicy poke bowl which was delicious. You can take it as it comes or customize it! Was so excited to check out poke for the first time and with Pokeworks options I was even more excited. However, this excitement diminished event more when I picked up my bowl. I ordered my food online as I had to get back to work quickly. I liked the various options that they had--shrimp, salmon, chicken, kale, pineapple, green onions, peppers, cream cheese, avocado, and so many others. I picked the two protein bowl with shrimp and spicy salmon along with an array of toppings and sushi rice. However, my bowl was mostly rice with just a sprinkle of toppings. I am not sure the salmon was even in the bowl. I likes that the bowl was a littlw warm, but that was it that I liked. I was not super impressed. read more

We came right before closing, i chose big bowl, thinking if bowl is big obviously you will get more protein... Obviously i was wrong, when guy putting the shrimp, that food grabber i guess made purposely that can't grab more than 2 shrimp, so he put like 4-5 shrimp maybe, so second protein i asked another shrimp, omg he also grabs 2 shrimps and 1 falls off, so total i guess i got 9 shrimp maybe, for large bowl) it was really disappointing and I felt discomfort. read more

I love that poke places are popping up all over the Dallas metroplex. Although I wouldn't make a special trip to eat at this particular restaurant, I was delighted that it was one of the many restaurant choices in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again if I was visiting this east of Hwy 75 location. After we finished our visit to Candytopia, my husband and I took one look at each other after spotting the Pokeworks sign, and both agreed that this was definitely where we would be dining for lunch. They have the standard build your bowl or burrito options, but they also offer some standard menu combinations that take the guesswork out for those who are new to the concept or just don't want to take the time making the decision of what is best to add. My husband and I both chose standard bowls. He ordered the Hawaiian Classic and I asked for the Spicy Ahi. We both asked for modifications, and the staff were happy to comply with our requests. They removed the chili flakes from the Hawaiian Classic for my haole hubby, and they added jalapeños, eel sauce, ginger, avocado, seaweed salad and crab to my Spicy Ahi bowl. Both bowls were to our liking. It did appear that the scoops they use to portion the food were smaller than other poke locations, but the quality of the ingredients all seemed up to par. The facility was clean and modern. Sealed concrete floors, bright wood benches along the walls, pub table chairs and a well lit eating area was welcoming. I wasn't too fond of the benches because they were too high up off the floor for my feet to touch the ground so it ended up cutting the circulation off in my legs. The pub chairs were a better option since they had a wire platform for your feet. There was seating to accommodate large and small groups. Enjoy a little taste of the islands by grabbing a Hawaiian Sun and ordering your favorite poke bowl here. It will definitely satisfy your hunger. read more

Can the food get any fresher? This place is amazing! We built our own bowl and we were not disappointed. 2 proteins and TONS of toppings make this an excellent spend of $10.95! Try the kale noodles- they are slightly flavored but not overly so it won't take away from your bowl. I added ahi and salmon as my proteins and then let the mix-ins begin - sweet onions, cucumbers, edamame, ogo seaweed, hijiki seaweed, blanched kale, chopped shiso, and cilantro to round it out. Then the sauces- try them all- but not all on your bowl. They are so good!! Wasabi aioli was my fav! Top her off then- 10+ toppings to choose from and then 7 crunchies too. Yum yum YUM! Customer service was awesome! Very helpful in guiding your palate along the vast line of options. Being a vegetarian, I don't often get a chance to eat poke. Huge thank you to pokeworks for a very vegan friendly menu. The restaurant is hidden behind bellagreen. The interior is modern, minimalist, bright and clean. You can choose from their signature flavors or make your own bowl, burrito or salad. We chose to make our own bowls. 1. Choose a base - kale noodle, sushi rice, brown rice or quinoa 2. Choose protein - tofu being the vegan option Regular-2 kinds of protein. Large- 3 kinds of protein 3. Choose mix-ins 4. Add sauce - quite a few of them were labeled vegan. You can choose to go light, medium or heavy with the sauce or get it on the side. 5. Toppings - add in as many as you wish 6. Add crunchy stuff - again feel free to add as many as you would like. I loved the fried lotus root and toasted rice. NOTE -some of the toppings are available for an upcharge I got my bowl with sushi rice and tofu with some ginger sauce mixed in and gochujang sauce(yum!) on the side. I also added all the vegan crunchy things they had to offer, oh yes I loved the texture of my bowl. If you are a vegetarian/vegan and like me, new to this, be sure to ask what's vegan. One thing I don't understand though is why should a tofu bowl cost as much as a seafood bowl? Organic tofu is so much cheaper than the other proteins but that's not all! Regular bowl is $10.95 and large bowl is $13.5. Do the math, more than 2 dollars for an extra scoop of tofu? It would be fair if the tofu bowl was priced separately. read more

Love Pokeworks! Definitely ranks in the top poke places located in the DFW metroplex. Unfortunately it is a little hard to find... It's in the new plaza off Walnut Hill and 75 but kind of hidden deep inside it. It's perpendicularly located next to Treehouse and across the parking lot from Tacodeli. They have tried to make it easier to find by posting a sign with an arrow pointing to it but you pretty much won't find it unless you are looking for it. Hope this isn't too bad for business cuz I want Pokeworks to stay. Pokeworks offers poke bowls (sushi rice, brown rice, or quinoa), poke burritos, poke salads and poke noodle (w/kale noodles). There's something for everyone here because they have vegetarian options as well as cooked proteins if you're not into raw fish. I opted for the poke salad and was super pleased with the overall bowl. The romaine lettuce and spring mix was fresh, the quality of the salmon and tuna was on point, and the mix-ins and toppings were basically unlimited except for avocado and wasabi tobiko. They have a large variety of mix-ins and toppings so my poke salad was nice and full. Pricing was pretty decent especially for the location. The workers are also super nice and friendly. I am so happy I found this place! It's like a fresh poke chipotle with how you order! I will say tho that if you venture outside of their delivered menu items into "build your own" territory, the sheer number of options you have can be a little overwhelming, but that could just be my culinary ignorance with this cuisine. We both got burritos but if I could do it again, I'd get the straight up bowls and get one of their pre-done selections so you get a good balance of flavor and texture without having to make too many choices. I came for the BOGO deal with my girlfriend during their grand opening. The interior is mainly wood and looks cute and modern. The workers were very helpful with explaining the different toppings and options even were overwhelmed with customers. I got the large poke bowl with two servings of salmon and one serving of ahi tuna. To be honest, I added most of the mix-ins, toppings, and crunch so it's hard to comment on anything in particular aside from a couple of things. I really liked the diced mango because it brightened up the meal and gave it a bit of sweetness. All of the free crunches were great and gave some nice texture so I recommend getting all of them. I got a mix of the pokeworks classic, ponzu fresh, and sweet chili gochujang sauces and it gave my bowl a sweet and salty soy sauce flavor that I enjoyed. If I were to go again I'd probably go for the regular poke bowl because I don't think the extra scoop of fish made too much of a difference (I'm not sure if the bowl itself is smaller though). It's worth going at least once, but I don't think it's worth the high regular price unless you love poke. read more
