5 s! Super sweet little place. They have poke bowls that you can choose from or you can build your own. I built my own bowl and added an extra protein and it was $16. Super nice portions, a little light on the sauce but that's ok! They have cute little games at each table if you are into that kind of thing. Big menu, sweet customer service, can't wait to come again!

Ordered for the first time via Uber . Order was . Hawaiian Salmon poke bowl - Kind of bland, but ingredients were fresh. Didn't come with a sauce that I noticed... Unagi was pretty good. Salmon was fresh. Kale was fresh. Cucumber was fresh. Surprised that there wasn't any pickled ginger, nor do I recall the option to add it. Overall, it's pretty difficult to find a decent poke place in Dallas. not sure if I would recommend yet, but I would order from this place again.

Food was fresh and so delicious, I got the Unagi Eel Bowl and I wasn't sure if that would fill me up so I got a spicy tuna roll as well. The bowl was enough food on its own but the roll was a nice addition. Service was friendly, the guy greeted me when I walked in, offered to get me ice for my drink and was very hospitable. The restaurant is cute. Plenty of seating, some fun board games on the window table for kids and love all the little photos on the wall with people who have visited. It's a little gem of a place. Also worth noting, they had free miso soup which was cool and my order came out to around $30 for the bowl, roll and fountain drink.

Cbowls Poke is pretty standard and quick, only if you order a dish with fish. They're really friendly, to the point where I feel a bit bad about only giving them three stars. Everything is tasty, my big complaint is that there's not much fish to the poke. In the whole dish, there was more rice than anything. Price wise, it being 15 for just rice was a bit disappointing.

We tried this place out because it had high reviews (drove quite a bit out of our way to go here, in fact). The Poke bowl combo was mediocre at best and they forgot to add the crab meat. It was served in a Styrofoam container (eating in at the restaurant) and - at $35 for 2 people - is pricey for the quality. The rice is not sushi rice but seems like an Uncle Ben type of rice they attempted to make into sushi rice. The chopped lettuce is something you'd expect for a cheap salad (no spring mix with arugula or anything special - just chopped iceberg). When we walked in to the restaurant, the guy behind the counter was preoccupied with something and no one was in the store... at 6pm on Saturday... that should've been a clue. They do have free Miso for dining in, but overall I would definitely not return when there are many much better options in DFW.

Make your own bowl: tuna, salmon, lettuce, rice, green onion, crab meat, pineapple, ginger, onions and spicy garlic ponzu sauce.

AMAZING! I have never been here before and now I will be a regular! The fish was so fresh and the bowl was made to perfection. I made my own bowl with salmon and tuna for reference. The service is so fast and the employees are so kind. Plus, the ambiance is adorable! It's very cute inside. Overall I couldn't recommend it more. Delicious! :)

MYOB (Make your own bowl). Free miso soup for dining in only. I couldn't hold back had to get the sushi as well... I'm a sushi fan!!!

Good tunes to listen to while eating. The service was great and fast not much time to wait. Think next time I'll try the ramen, heard through the grapevine it was good also.

I have never seen poke bowls that are packed like these. I mean just look at the pics! Granted one of the bowls have double protein but still look. The quality was great and the service was fast. You pretty much order your bowl on a laminated paper and they will make it for you ASAP. The dumplings tasted a little off but the poke bowl made up for it. Will be adding cbowls to my poke rotation for sure

Pretty good food and you get A LOT for a decent price with their lunch combos. The rice was kind of off though I think. Had a sort of weird taste like from bad tap water or something. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. The texture was also sort of weird.

Several things about this place left me in a constant state of irritation. Admittedly, my poke bowl wasn't one of them. For the most part, it was decent. Fish and toppings were fresh. What was supposed to be crunchy, was crunchy. Flavors were good. I do prefer when my fish can be tossed with sauce, rather than pouring sauce over the top, like you have to do here. Its a small thing, but helps spread the flavor throughout the bowl rather than be thick on top. What really irritated me was the complete sense of not feeling like they were particularly interested in me being there at all. When I walked in, I felt like it was high noon at a gun fight. The employee behind the counter and I just stared at each other, waiting for the other one to draw. After waiting what seemed like a good 20 seconds, he finally explained that I needed to fill out the order sheet that was laying on the counter. Really? I can't just tell you what I want? Nope. I wish there was some written direction. Maybe I was distracted by the signs taped up that read "NO!!! Sushi rolls or ramen. Kitchen closed!". So, I fill it out. Eat. No one ever says a word to me again though I am literally the only person in the place. Nothing when they bring me my bowl, nothing as I leave. The employees stand behind the counter on their phones, even when someone else walks in. I watch her fill out her order form with zero acknowledgement from the staff. I don't care if the poke tastes like it was prepared by angels, I wouldn't bother returning. Oh, and the K pop on the sound system annoyed the crap outta me. Ugh.

I've been to different poke places around DFW area, and this place offers something what good poke place should have: fresh ingredients with many healthy options to choose from. Poke is really a good food option for someone who are conscious of the healthy yet digging for something delicious other than the salad. I decided to checkout the place as I've been on a diet after getting tired of eating salads for the past entire week. Although the place is small, the restaurant is conveniently located in an area that is close to other restaurants as well as the apartment. As you enter through the door, you will see a food selection at the left and the seating area on the right. You can pick a signature bowl, a customized bowl, or a ramen. And you simply pick up the pencil and select what you want and give to the cashier. I decided to get a customized bowl with tuna & salmon with extra avocado, and it was good enough for my liking. One thing I like about this place is that I get a plenty of main ingredients like salmon, tuna, and crab meats. This place definitely does not seem to conserve the most costly ingredients for the customers, and that is what the customers like me can appreciate. Maybe, I am biased toward the poke foods in general, because I love poke. But I will still take give this place a perfect score, regardless.

Great poke bowls! I had been craving poke for a while and I'm glad I chose this spot! You can pick from their signature poke bowls or you can make your own bowl! My mom and I ended making our own and loved it! The food is very fresh and tasty. Will definitely come back. My only complain is that for lunch they don't serve rolls :-( The place is small. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch after hearing they came out with a new menu and it did not disappoint :) the workers were really nice and welcoming! it can get busy around lunch time so sometimes the wait might be a little more than you'd like, but I found it totally worth it. Definitely coming again!

I've been to Michelin starred omakases (including tempura omakases) in Japan and New York, and this place honestly meets or comes extremely close to fitting the bill in terms of food and service. At the Michelin restaurants, you pay almost double the price for high quality ingredients, stellar service, ambiance, and a Japanese toilet :P For $100 pp for the tempura omakase at Takumi Hachi, you leave feeling full and satisfied, with a great selection of light and deliciously fried fritters. Each person gets a bowl of their divinely delicious tempura sauce with a generous amount of shaved daikon (not even lying when i say this is my favorite tempura sauce i've had, i could've just drank it on its own) and a selection of salts, with each course given a recommendation of which salt to use. In terms of ambiance: frankly speaking, if it was just the counter service omakase, i'd say it would feel more stuffy and unapproachable. But there is a general seating area that is not counter service where you can order off the menu for sushi, robata, and a la carte options. No dress code enforced or recommended, so you can be dining with all sorts of patrons with different sizes of families and children. whether or not this is your jam, it's still an extremely accessible place to dine for anyone and everyone. Reservations were incredibly easy to make (tempura omakase only From Sunday thru Thursday). Service was really kind and attentive, my husband's water literally never went below half empty. The only thing to take service to the next level is if they cleaned/wiped your plate/gave you a new plate between each course. American toilet. Lol. That's neither here nor there, but the bathroom is very clean lol! They were also sweet enough to read my reservation note for the occasion for dining and gifted us a delicious strawberry mousse, accompanied with a surprise tableside matcha to end the meal. I'm already looking forward to try their kaiseki set meal next time, and know that this place is a top contender to take my friends or loved ones for special occasions. I can't speak much for their sushi, but I added on some robata and grill menu items to the omakase and they were fantastic. Highly recommend the maitake mushroom tempura add on to your course. If you order ebi sushi, they offer to take the head once you're done eating the sushi and either put it in a miso soup or fry it for you, which i thought was a wonderful option. Also, we got tempura anago, something I've never had anywhere else, served two different ways. That alone was enough to make this experience stand out. For an experience like I had tonight, I felt as if the restaurant should be more full. Maybe because it is tucked away behind the other chain restaurants in Addison that are a little easier to see. Don't hesitate if you see the price tag, I definitely think you get a great value for food, service, and experience. We were there for two hours and enjoyed it very much. Thank goodness i don't have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas to enjoy some delicious Japanese food without the headache and hassle of finding parking and an accessible reservation.

There was no kalbi (Korean short ribs) on the buffet, but even more concerning was the quality of some of the sashimi, especially the salmon. It was unusually pale and lacked the rich, buttery flavor we've always come to expect here. I'm not sure if this is related to the lower than usual lunch pricing ($19.99-$23.99), but I'd gladly pay a few dollars more if it meant a return to the quality that made this place our go-to sushi buffet. We genuinely hope this was just an off day, because otherwise we'll likely have to start looking elsewhere.
