I recently heard of an item called Japanese Cheesecake, which I didn't know was a thing. So for all of you that are like me and dont know about Janapese Cheesecake it is a very light and airy cake, Its signature fluffy texture comes from folding whipped egg whites into the batter and baking it in a water bath. The result is a soft, chiffon-like consistency that wobbles. So I heard of a place called @uncletetsu_katy and decided to give it a try. I ordered the coffee flavored cheesecake and it was amazing. very light and flavorful. Definitely will be back to try the other flavors. #foodphotography #foodstagram #foodblogger #foodblog #foodlovers #foodpic #foodpics #foodie #foodies

It's about $15 per cake. I got the coconut pandan which was pretty good. I also sampled the coffee cheesecake they had which I didn't really like. They have a lot of flavor options you can choose from aside from the original. Generally these cakes are too soft for me, not in a fluffy way but in a mushy one so I would keep that in mind. Kind and quick service.

Limited Asian dessert options here so I was excited to see this place pop up! Burnt chocolate cheesecake - melted googey in the middle, taste like chocolate mouse Ube cheesecake - cold Chinese sponge cake with a hint of ube? Love how they are not super sweet.

While visiting the Katy area, we happened upon Uncle Tetsu! The nearby shops support one another by offering a 10% off discount with a receipt from the neighboring shop (we went to Wushiland for boba next door). When we walked in, we were offered a sample of their limited seasonal flavor, cherry blossom. The cake itself was yummy and spongey, but we ultimately decided to get the coconut pandan flavor of their classic Japanese cheesecake to-go. The cheesecake was soo delicious and a huge hit when we brought it back to share with our friends after dinner. The coconut and pandan flavors complement one another really well and the texture was so light and creamy. Highly recommend and would go back to this or other locations to try their other offerings.

Had a real treat today! Saw they were advertising a free mini-cheesecake with purchase for national cheesecake day. So of course I signed up for the email list and we got our cheesecake today. We purchased the cookies and cream cheese cake and got the strawberry mini. It also came with cookies as well. So good, and definitely will be back. We love cheesecake but a giggle cheesecake was a fun and great treat. Getting one for next family get together

Favorite place to get Japanese cheesecake. Been coming here since their grand opening. Strawberry, black sesame, and pandan coconut are my go-to. For birthday stamps, you have to call the day prior. Semi-sweet Japanese fluffy, soft cheesecakes is what you should expect. Cherry Blossom is good but my mother said it tastes like soap (if you like floral sweets then I recommend it or just for parties). Their basque cheesecakes are the less sweet version of an American cheesecake, which I also enjoy. Recently, they introduced a smaller versions of their cheesecakes, I believe 4 for $20 whereas their normal size is $16. Random specials so check out the prices in the store such as 2 for $20. Friendly servers and it's just a simple small place where you get what you need and leave. No sit in but they do offer samples throughout the day for you to try. There's some parking in this plaza but many just park in one spot and walk around to the different plaza in this nook of Katy Asian Town.

One of the best Japanese cheese cakes in Houston. I usually drive across town for 45 minutes just to come here.

Great place to get Japanese cheesecake in the Katy area. I was surprised on how delicious the cake tasted. It's like a sponge that melts in your mouth, very creamy, not too cheesy, perfect sweetness. The texture is amazing and is very easy to eat. I would come back.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the servers are friendly and helpful. We stopped by for an early dinner on a Saturday evening, so the restaurant wasn't yet busy when we got there but started to fill up as we ate. There are so many different ramen options and toppings to choose from. You can choose to get the low sodium option for all the ramen if you prefer, and they also have free unsalted ramen broth refill. They also have other dishes besides ramen, and you can also customize any existing dishes with other toppings as you'd like. I got the Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen with spinach and corn, and my boyfriend got the Spicy Ramen. Both broths were so rich and flavorful. They were both slightly salty, so we also got the clear broth refill which made them just right. The ramen had a perfect chew, and the toppings were flavorful and delicious. I usually don't like bamboo toppings in ramen because of the ammonia smell, but I tried some bamboo from the Spicy Ramen that my boyfriend got, and it had no strong bamboo smells at all. I was so impressed. I also ordered the Japanese curry with chicken kaarage to-go, and they were also really tasty. I will definitely be back to Kizuki for more in the future.

The drinks were fantastic. The strawberry matcha and cloud lavender matcha were perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and you could still truly taste the matcha instead of just sugar. For the food, the ebi and chicken katsu sandos were incredible. Both came out hot, crispy, and packed with flavor, while the bread was unbelievably soft and fluffy. The egg sandos were also excellent, and I loved the addition of the soft-boiled eggs because it added both great texture and presentation. The biggest surprise for me was the strawberry cream sando. That thing was AMAZING. The bread was slightly sweet and different from the hot sandos, which made it pair perfectly with the cream and strawberries. Paired well with the sweet and fresh mango. Great dessert sandwich to finish off the meal. For drinks, they have a large assortment of coffee, tea, matcha, soda refresher, slush, and more. We got the Ube Cream Coffee, which was one of their popular drinks (had a star next to it on the menu). The coffee itself was super rich, like classic Vietnamese coffee. Interesting twist with the Ube Cream on top. Fluffy and cloud-like with nice Ube flavor. I'm glad they gave a lot (1/3 of cup), since it was yummy and made the drink more creamy. Love the book wall, it goes up to the ceiling with floating books too. The interior gives such cozy vibes, especially with the dark wood tables and shelves. The service was wonderful and everything came out quickly. I tried the oysters which were my least favorite out of everything I tried. The onions take away the flavor of the oysters. Then I tried the unagi sushi and that one was okay it tasted like some other sushi rolls I've had. It was good it just didn't stand out. Then I tried the brown sugar scallops which the scallops are a big size and in like a thick soup like cream. It reminded me of clam chowder. I don't know if I would order it again but it is worth a try. I tried the foie gras and this was torched and I loved the texture where it melted in my mouth. However, the flavors were a bit weird I guess they're going for a fruity flavor but it just doesn't work together especially the dried strawberry on top. I tried the tomato kanapaccio and that one was good for a vegetable. I thought that blended well with all of the flavors. Then my favorite was the hamachi kosho it's spicy from the Serrano peppers but that kick is just what I needed in a hamachi. My next favorite was the miso cod. The miso cod had some bones in it but the fish was so soft and practically fell off the bone. The Brussel sprouts were good as well. It didn't stand out but it just tasted like other places nothing special. I also tried the sashimi belly flight, bluefin flight, and salmon flight. You can get these in nigiri with but I believe you get fewer slices(3 or 2) The belly flight was my favorite. It had 3 different fishes and my favorite on that spread was the o toro.
