I learned about Andy's from a fellow Yelper and decided to stop in for dinner and yes, when I mean dinner that means a banana split to go. Because sometimes... #YOLO where do I begin? I ordered a banana split with hot fudge and the only thing I could possibly complain about is that I may be a fat ass, but I could've used more hot fudge. The custard has an amazing texture and could even be better than Freddy's frozen custard which I've been a fan of their turtle sundae for years. Im not a custard person, so I thought. I am a blue bell fanatic and I usually never cheat on them! I took my daughter to try it out and she got the one with the oreos. Since I love cookies and cream, I had to taste it. It was sooooo awesome!!! They put so many cookies in it and it was a crunch with every bite. First time trying frozen custard - not quite like anything texture wise that I've had! The small build your own concrete w one topping is $5.60 and I got classic vanilla with Oreo. It was very creamy and tasty and the small is big enough to share (it's honestly too sweet to eat for one person). Would definitely return to an Andy's! read more

Andy's is the best kind of sweet regret! My go-to is the Stone Cold, you just can't beat the texture combo. The pretzels, chocolate chip swirls that harden, and peanut butter are perfection. They've been super consistent with this flavor, which keeps me coming back. I've also tried the Cookies and Cream and a Rocky Road-like flavor. Both were tasty, though the Rocky Road one was a little too sweet for me personally. Outdoor seating area has a nice vibe with their music and is a nice touch to enjoy your frozen custard. The freshly-made frozen custard was amazing. I watched one the employees scoop the pillowy white lava from the custard machine and it was pretty cool. We ordered two kids' sundaes, 1 build your own regular sundae, and a free small 1-topping concrete cup for around $14. There are a few benches to sit on, but no seating inside. We went for the grand opening on April 11th and we're able to get a sundae with 1 topping for $2. That was a pretty great deal because this place is not that cheap. The parking lot is not huge but I didn't have a problem finding a spot and my order was immediately taken. Now I did tell the cashier I wanted the special and when he told me the total was $10 I asked how when I ordered 3 sundaes for $2 each. He didn't know why so I paid and immediately asked for my receipt and as I suspected he tang to my order wrong. A manager had to come and correct it and I was given both the incorrect and correct order. The concrete with reeses was soooooo good, that will probably become my usual order (concrete just means the custard is mixed with your toppingof choice). I will most likely go again when they have specials because it's pretty pricey but it just might be worth the price on a hot summer day!!! read more

I've been eating Andy's since I was a kid and what can I say other than absolutely delicious concretes and jackhammers! I had the blackberry waffle and my partner had the lemon bar. Creamy every time! Very nice sitting outside area near the window to order. Although the gentleman who took our order rushed us and all I was able to say were two words before he tried to assume what I wanted and just interrupted my partner as he was ordering. I've been twice now. The first time was ok. The guy at the register was so nice- young guy with reddish hair. He's the only reason for the 2 stars. The brownie was so dry though. We usually go to Ritter's for frozen custard, but we decided to try Andy's as we live right in the middle of the two. I ordered 5 different desserts, and out of the 5, only the cookie butter one actually tasted good. The vanilla scoop in a cone was so bland almost like unsweetened cool whip with frozen custard texture, and the waffle cone was slightly salty and stale. The chocolate had a chocolate flavor but also lacked sweetness. The mint chocolate chip was like vanilla and chocolate pieces and the slightest mint after taste. I also could not order a single scoop of the mint chocolate chip for my 3 year old because "we can only do vanilla or chocolate in a single scoop." They also don't offer it in a half pint (which I was really contemplating buying the 6 pack to get a smaller portion of the flavor - but thank goodness I didn't!) or any other way except as a concrete with a mix in or a pint. I picked cherry as the mix in, and he got 1 cherry on top. I would hope they'd use more than 1 if it was truly a mix in. Also, what is the reasoning behind having flavors that you cannot order as a scoop? I don't understand why you'd offer it only to have limited options of enjoying it. The boot daddy and the concretes we ordered were melty around the top edges making them messy. I'm glad we didn't go through the drive thru as I saw someone pulling out of the drive thru holding her cup out of her window shaking her head as it was melting. Only one of us finished our ice cream (the single scoop of chocolate in a cup which they initially gave me in vanilla incorrectly), so we'll be going back to Ritter's from now on. Not even the free dessert in my app (that I downloaded while standing in line) makes me want to come back. I'm guessing this place is only busy because Ritter's closes for a couple of weeks during the holidays.
