A hidden neighborhood brewery. We enjoyed a relaxed Sunday afternoon here with tasty stout beer. Nice patio with a laid back vibe. Definitely worth a visit.

This brewery definitely earns its name! My dad and I were heading back to our hotel and saw this was on the way. So glad we stopped, we got some great beer and met some cute dogs. Although we just made a quick stop here, I would definitely come back!

This is the best hidden brewery around the museum district! Plus they always have great food from small business. Ask for Jamie and he will get you a cold

Great vibe to match the great beer! Fantastic selection and very low key. Nice patio area for outdoor dining and drinking. Helpful service and wonderful beer!

Trivia: What large metal object is located next to the corn hole boards? (Hint, it represents their namesake). Service was a little odd. And by odd, I mean uninterested. Not helpful. Not interested in answering questions. Very matter-o-fact. The service was almost rendered moot by the Biergarten. It was amazing. So much seating and so many cool trees providing shade and a delightfully relaxing ambiance. It's almost possible to forget you are so close to busy roads and traffic (which you can still hear). The beer was above average. I wasn't blown away, but I wasn't unhappy. It felt like I was drinking something that was purposefully put together. That it had thought AND brewing experience behind it. I think I might have found a beer that better suited my personal tastes, but again, the service was very uninterested. When I prodded with questions, the answers were simple, vague, quiet. It was weird. Food was being set up while we were there. It looked like it was going to be a winner, but we were on our way before they officially began serving. Maybe next time!

Such an awesome little micro brewery hidden near Montrose area. Very small area to sit inside so if you go, it would be a good idea to go on a nice day. Pretty open outdoor area with picnic tables. There was only one heated lamp outside when we went but is didn't give off too much heat when lit. Not a huge variety of beer but the ones that they do offer are pretty awesome. Great pictures with their giant radar!

I love this little spot! I come here a lot now for trivia and always have a good time. The trivia is fun and quick and they have added prizes for best dressed, which I think is unique and so fun! They don't have a super extensive selection, but they do have a good variety. My favorite is probably the Radar Love (Hefewizen), but there is also a raspberry, some IPAs and Porters . . . something for all the beer lovers in your life! They have special releases as well. They have food vendors often, but you can also BYO-food. Dog friendly! Parking lot is small, but there is plenty of street parking and never an issue. It is all outdoors, but they have some tents up and heat lamps now. As long as you're dressed for the weather you should be comfortable. Come check this place out and grab some yummy draft or to go beers!

Great beer. Cool people hanging out there. Corn-hole, board games, trivia night. Oh yeah, did I mention great beer?!? As far as micro breweries go this place is a dive. It is a dive in the best way. Nothing pretentious about UTR. Ask the guys about their business and they will chat your ear off. Ask them about their process and they might enlist you to help. Go now! Drink beer! Have a blast!!!

I visited on a weekday and it was not bad. The parking is limited so I can see where on a weekend you may want to ride share or walk if you live near by. The beer is good, seems to mostly if not all local. Lots of screens and corn hole to keep you company. It is an outdoor setting so dress cool.

Just the perfect 'under the trees' cool summer Friends trivia night with $4 pint size brew. As good as it gets ?...definitely. Its a totally casual place to hang out, chat and play some games while chilling out. Cannot think of a better setting for a trivia night on Friends, especially since it was midweek. They have some great beer samplers, some fountain drinks for the non alcoholics or the designated drivers, and ofcourse the regular pint size glasses. They don't serve food, but did have a Food Truck on the grounds- which incidentally was my only disappointment- complete non-availability of anything vegetarian on that truck! Guys please get a regular vendor who serves atleast one vegan/vegetarian option. You know we are growing in numbers, don't you ? Tips : They have Bingo and various trivia nights like How I met your mother and so on. Their schedule is on the website and on facebook. Worth being checked out. If nothing else, then to taste their unique beer flavors.

Got two four packs to-go and it was almost $50. Both beers were ok. Regret stopping in for to-go beer without first trying the beer

We stopped in and I asked if they did flights and I simply got a rude "nope" and the guy just looked away. So I ordered a Happy Accidents pale ale that was decent. I asked if they had stickers and I got the same "Nope". I asked if they ever had them or if they were just out, "out" was the reply. Not exactly a chatty guy. So, this most recent visit, I came with a couple buddies. We stopped in before the World Baseball Classic. Still no flights and still no stickers. (The stickers are important for my garage man cave wall!). However, the beertender was a much friendlier lady this time and I got an orange fudge stout that wasn't very good. The place itself is pretty cool for the most part. Really big outdoor area with a bunch of shipping containers turned patio covers. There are a bunch of pinball machines, and the decor is fun. They are also heavy on the cannabis side of things. Areas for improvement: Get some stickers offer flights so people can try your beers parking sucks

They prepared my food ahead of time. Pizzas, Brussels sprouts that we all fought over, hummus, nachos, and 3 sets of wings. When we arrived the tables had reserved signs with our group name. It was 3pm so we were all starving. We ordered drinks at the bar and some of my group members pointed out all the pride flags making them feel welcome and happy to patronize this place. People commented on the ginger beer and loved every single thing on our tables. Most awesome is that they didn't want a deposit two weeks before when I called even though I offered since they were making so much food for 20. I wanted them to know we were really going to show up. As a group of artists, we loved the artwork especially the mural with Houston letters. We took a group photo and some of us headed back on the road to SA completely satisfied. Others loved the vibe of the place and neighborhood and decided to stay longer and explore some more. Thank you Gristworkz!

The beer selection is solid with plenty of options whether you're in the mood for something crisp, hoppy, or a little adventurous. Food-wise, the wings and fries came out exactly how they should--hot, crispy, and perfect with a cold pint. Nothing fancy needed when the basics are done right. But what really made the experience stand out was the hospitality. Gabe behind the bar was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and the kind of bartender who makes you feel like you've been coming there for years. By the end of the night it honestly felt like we were regulars. Great beer, hot food, and top-tier service. That's a recipe for a place I'll definitely be back to.

The staff is generally friendly and welcoming, and even though I'm not a big beer head anymore, I still enjoy most of their offerings. The patio is huge, and they recently added covered lounge areas with heaters, which makes it comfortable year-round. There are TVs everywhere, and they show plenty of local games, including rugby. They used to support the Sabercats back when they were still around. Overall, it's a reliable neighborhood brewery that's firmly in our regular rotation. The first time that I went there, I went by myself and had a seat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and greeted me when I say down. I ordered some beers and a hot dog with chili. Both the beers and hot dog were great after the three hour bus ride I just took. The third time that I went there, I went with my friend and we had a seat at the bar. This was our last night in Houston and we decided to have a few drinks before our trip ended. I got a beer in their special St. Patrick's Day glass. The bartender was again attentive and it was a good night. Looking back, I guess both my first and last stops in Houston were here. The second time that I came here was also with my friend and we sat at a table to order food. The waitress was great and kept checking on us. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was crispy and tasty. This is the only part that I had an issue with from the restaurant. At some point during my second visit, a woman came into the restaurant with her pants covered in poop. She left and then came back another time and walked among the tables. The bartender eventually escorted her out. Here is why I am still giving this place 4 stars after this. The service and food was still good even and I had two uneventful visits. This visit, I just happened to sit at a table closest to the door. If you want to make sure you don't have an experience like this, you can sit at the bar, or upstairs or further away from the front door.
