Our stay was lovely except for the second night, we left the sign for housekeeping on the morning to clean our room and change the towels. Lo and behold we got in late around 10 pm and the bed was undone, which is fine with me BUT the towels were still on the floor!!! They don't have any staff in house at night. When I checked in late the previous night the girl I spoke to said she'll leave the room key and instructions on how to find my room on top of the front desk since she's gone by 8:30-9 pm. Anyways I followed the instructions to call this number at night if we need anything, guess what?!?! the phone was ringing at the front desk. I called multiple times from my room phone and courtesy phone next to the front desk and same result-the phone was ringing right next to me!!! We were very frustrated, I even wrote "need fresh towels" on a piece of paper and held it in front of the camera at the front desk hoping someone will see it. No such luck, I also messaged thru Expedia that night to no avail. I ended up using toilet paper to dry myself after I showered! I was very frustrated. The next day the owner's son apologized to my husband stating he thought the sign was for "do not disturb" and told us he's working on the problem because the phone calls at night wasn't getting transferred to his cell phone. I know for a fact that calls were not being transferred even the night we checked in late, an elderly guy thought I work there and needed help with something. I told him to call the same number and same thing happened, the front desk phone kept ringing. In a positive note, breakfast served in the mornings were good. When we checked out, the owner also apologized for the snafu that happened.

BLM artwork litters the walls, there's a sign that says "trans people eat free" under the register and Hailey greets you with the warmest smile from behind the counter! Then...we tried the food. Nothing could have prepared us for how absolutely delicious everything was! And its not just their pizza thats mind-blowing, so are their vegetarian and chicken dishes. Hailey's service was wonderful, she (and her sweet daugther!) even did a site visit before the wedding to give us advice on where her team should set up, and what makes the most sense for rental planning. She was extremely accommodating to our vegan diet, as well and provided gluten-free alternatives for our guests. My parents mentioned "faine" aka "farinata," because we eat that with our pizza in our home-country of Argentina, and Hailey offered to learn the recipe and make it for us at the wedding. Thats how thoughtful she is! We ordered: - grazing table full of local cheese and meats - maple seared scallops - fish cakes -farinata -green salad with seasonal veg -maple braised chicken thighs and drumsticks -quinoa & bean stuffed squash -pizza buffet with vegan cheese and GF crust options -peach & blueberry cobbler At the wedding, no one could stop talking about how incredible the food was, and how absolutely lovely Hailey and her staff are. We could not have had a better experience. Thank you and your team for making this happen! Don't have photos to share yet (photos are yet to arrive from the photographer) but will leave you with this one of the bride getting her hands messy in some pizza :)

The Social gets three stars for service, atmosphere, and three good main dishes. First, we had the nicest, most helpful server I can imagine. And sitting outdoors on the restaurant's porch is absolutely lovely. We could have sat there all night, except I needed to go home to have dinner (more about that later). Though very few tables were occupied, the food took a long time to arrive. Two of our orders arrived with errors, and our very nice server brought the right things. My three companions liked their main dishes, though one main dish arrived barely lukewarm and presented unappealingly (we wouldn't notice presentation unless it was really good or just plain off). Two of the delicious-sounding veggie side dishes were just barely okay. The mashed potatoes were good, but the corn was tough and starchy, and the Brussels sprouts were too oily, tough, and bland, and the cheese on them didn't work. Many menu items were unavailable, including the only vegan main dish. I'm vegan. I asked our server, as I often do in advance or in the moment, at restaurants where nothing fully vegan is on the menu: Would the kitchen please make me anything at all with vegetables? I told them that I love all vegetables, beans, nuts, grains, whatever, and I would be grateful for whatever they made. She came back and said that the kitchen said no, the only vegan item was the plain salad on the menu. My salad was expensive. It was just okay-tasting; I did like the roasted cherry tomatoes. The dressing contained a shocking amount of sugar. I don't much care about bread, and I rarely eat it at restaurants. But I asked if I could have a piece of bread with my salad so I wasn't grinding with hunger. Our server brought one slice of wheat bread that was tasteless and stale. I ate dinner when I got home. There are way more GF items on the menu than vegan ones, so even if they run out of stuff, gluten-intolerant folks will probably find something to eat. We were disappointed in the unaccommodating and slow kitchen and the quality of the expensive food. None of us would return unless we heard something had changed.
