This is the BOMB! OMG! The flavor was amazing. Got the Thai tea stracciatella. I had Thai tea in Thailand and the ice cream got the flavor down perfectly. The stracciatella chocolate was a great texture complementing the creamy smooth ice cream. I had a second tasting later and it even tasted better. Kudos to the chef! To preface, they drop "special" ice cream orders on Saturday with windows for pick up. Though they do have different flavors daily that sometimes if they don't sell out of their dropped flavors, you may be able to score. Follow their instagram for times and flavors. We got some of their flavor drops -- biscoff pistachio and olive oil labneh. Both flavors were delicious and different in their own ways. I do wish they cleaned their tubs a little better but it is easily cleaned with some paper towels. If I could give this place 6/5 stars, I would. If I could give them a Michelin star, I would. Underground creamery deserves the hype and all the praise. I've been following them on IG for a loooong time and have always been meaning to try them. When I saw they were doing a dupe of my favorite berry chantilly cake from Whole Foods, I knew I had to try it and I'm sooooooooo happy that I did. This is the best ice cream I've had in my entire life, period. It literally changed my brain chemistry when I took that first bite because I knew no other ice cream would ever compare to it in the future. I really hope they put the berry chandler tilly into a regular rotation, because it's absolutely divine. They hit the flavors spot on. It was hard to obtain though, sold out on pre-orders, sold out at Pudgy's for walk up in the afternoon. 3rd time was the charm when I walked into Pudgy's at open to claim the goods. I'm not sure how I haven't posted a review about this amazing ice cream. I highly recommend following on Instagram to see the weekly menu drops. This is not a scoop shop and you can only get pints of ice cream by ordering them online typically on Saturday Saturdays during their weekly drop or a collaboration with another business. The flavors rotate regularly. Anything cobbler ish, banana or funfetti is amazing. The sorbets are also delicious- my favorites are coconut cream, guava, cantaloupe. If you can't secure any during the drop, they do sell the extras and unclaimed items during the week at pudgy's. I typically check on Tuesday's. Go get you some!! read more

$15 for a pint of ice cream is VERY overvalued considering I can go to HEB and get a Talenti for $5-6. And the ice cream itself didn't even blow me away like Talenti does. And they don't sell ice cream by the cone or cup; you have to get the pint and risk getting a flavor that hou may end up not liking. read more

The decadent and unique flavor combos were worth it even then, but life got busy and made it hard to pre-order. My husband wanted to try the infamous Underground Creamery Ice Cream. It's difficult to get since they sell out within minutes... but once we were able to snag one, we had to try it out! Their store front is a window at Pudgy's (which has great cookies) and it was quick service! Parking kind of is annoying since it's in the same area as Crawfish Cafe. We picked up the ice cream during the allowed time and couldn't wait to try it. We got the Labneh w/ Sour Cherries. My husband liked it, but really doesn't believe the pint is worth $15. Always nice to try something once, but doubt we'd do it again! read more

This is by far the best ice cream I've ever had! The quality of this ice cream is vastly superior to any other brand I've had. The flavors are so unique and go so well together. I was hesitant for a while to buy this ice cream because of the cost, but it is worth every penny. The staff are so friendly and pick up is super quick and easy. They even have free lactase for those who need it. You can also buy any leftover flavors from the previous week at Pudgy's. Don't hesitate because they go fast! You won't regret it! read more

Was able to get my hands on one of their elusive goods by going to Pudgy's - they sometimes have some leftovers from special events/abandoned pints there (watch their social media to learn more). As other reviewers have noted, yes they have a walk-up window, but it is not a scoop shop you can just buy from. Make sure you either have some pre-ordered (again, check their socials) or know there is some at Pudgy's or you will be leaving ice cream-less. Pricing is steeper than other shops around town, however that makes sense given that this is a super small batch, high quality operation. You are paying for quality ingredients, innovative flavors that change weekly, and the heart and soul of the purveyor. Not something I can necessarily afford on the regular, but I will continue to look out for exciting flavors I just can't pass up. My goal this year is to score a pint through the high-stress online order system, then I will feel super legit. PS - the MSG (malted salty grit) that tops many pints is soooo good. I was aware of Underground Creamery for a while but had never attempted to score myself a pint. I was browsing instagram over the weekend when I saw that a new drop was happening on Saturday afternoon and I thought that 4th of July weekend may give me better odds since lots of people leave town to beat the heat. I signed up for their text reminder and logged onto hotplate when they texted me 3 minutes before the drop. I was able to snag my husband's top choice but not the other flavor he wanted to try. All things considered, I was pretty jazzed that I successfully placed an order on my first try out of the gate! We picked up our order during the 3rd window on Monday evening. The pick up at the Pudgy's cookie window was very easy. They recommend that you bring an insulated bag but we live pretty close by so we skipped that step. We ended up with the cinnamon toast nuts flavor, and while the ice cream was pretty great, it's definitely very indulgent and heavy. I honestly think the way that you have to set an alarm and commit to trying to get a pint increases the enjoyment of having and eating the ice cream, but for the cost and hassle we probably won't make this a regular experience. read more

I'm so excited that I got to try a pint of Underground Creamery's ice cream! They now have a storefront/window at Pudgy's, and I was able to snag a pint of ice cream when I visited Pudgy's and just happened to ask if Pudgy's had any Underground Creamery pints in stock, and they had a few! I thought the brown sugar cinnamon ice cream was so creamy and delicious--obviously very high quality ingredients. Just note that the ice cream pints are $10 each (!!!), but that's frankly in line with what I've seen for other high-end ice creams like Van Leeuwen and Tiny's. Excellent ice cream! read more
