Daiquiri, Persephone's descent

I live near Underworld and have been here on multiple occasions and I've enjoyed every event that they've hosted. From movie nights, trivia, to drag shows, or just a drink at the bar, you will enjoy your time here. This spooky tucked away bar is not only cryptidly cute in decoration, but also offer reasonably priced spooky cocktails and mocktails. I tried the Bites Box for the first time, and for $16 I will say this is a better bite than other charcuteries from bars in town.

Cheers!

All I can say is Underworld is an awesome find! The outside of the building is a bit discreet, but inside it's an eclectic, dark (for good reason) and speak-easy type ambience...and I love it! The menu is vast with plenty of options, which is nice to read through all the carefully created and crafted drinks. It's worth it to try them all because each has a different persona that you'll want to take the time to enjoy. They also provide seasonal drinks too, which again are carefully thought out, utilizing their wide line of distilled alcohol. Plus, they all have super cool names! Colleen and her staff provide wonderful customer service and will talk all about the drinks or whatever you'd like to bring up as a topic. Cheers!

Really chill spot for drinks in an unexpected part of town which is a good thing bc you don't get the excess traffic. The staff is great company and the drinks are strong..I warned you!

I wasn't sure what to expect from a bar on Louie Lane, hidden among warehouses and auto shops. Imagine my surprise when my husband and I opted to check it out. What a fantastic spot! Delicious craft cocktails and a long list of mocktails were available. Prices are reasonable and you can even order a charcuterie board if you need a bite. The bartenders itself embraces the macabre, with plenty of skulls and rib cages decorating the area. The Victorian era furnishings and dark colors had it serving haunted mansion. I loved it! The bartenders were friendly and excited about the upcoming events they were planning. I look forward to going back!

Visited with interest in purchasing local rum as a gift. The tasting flight was super generous - more than enough for two of us to share. The rums are all very smooth and distinctively flavorful. We ended up buying bottles of all three. Service was very welcoming and informative. The bar has a cool goth, Victorian vibe. Crazy that they are located in a non-descript suburban commercial development. Very fun! We will definitely return to try the gins and boubons. The cocktail menu is very intriguing.

Talk about a hole in the wall gem!!! this place is fantastic! A little dark, but not in a bad way, it's very cozy! The whole underworld theme of the place is actually quite welcoming as are the bartenders. You can find it on Louie, hidden in the industrial ish street just off Longely/mccarren. The drinks are spectacular made with their own spirits. Defintely something for everyone. they offer non-alcoholic and even vegan options!! Small but mighty, this place also offers comedy nights and movie nights. Just be sure to check their calendar or the instagram page for the latest schedules. I will be back often!

A dark and intimate distillery in an unsuspecting place. Robbie and the lovely ladies behind the bar really set the tone for this place. Welcoming people and drinks to make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. I sampled every spirit they have including their new Absinthe and one still in the works. The gin here is the closest I have found to Irish gin, whilst I haven't found a local vodka that I like in this town, this one took the crown for smoothest vodka in northern Nevada. They carry three different types of rum, crossroads, spiced rum and a stout rum. All extremely good. If you're looking for a great rum espresso martini, you'll find it here. Not a bourbon fan but the bourbon here is sip-able and extremely pleasant. I didn't try any cocktails but I did watch them make many and after reading through the selection, the bar maidens really have a great palette and understand complimentary flavors. When it comes to craft cocktails, this place got it going on. This is a small batch distillery and Robbie, owner and distiller, enjoys experimenting and finding ways to incorporate community and local partnerships to get unique spirits on the shelf. Excited to see what concoctions and potions they come up with next. The Underworld is worth a visit, enter if you dare!

OMG, another great find, do I dare share ? I will shall, but you better save me a seat. UD is a woman owned small batch craft distillery creating vodka, gin, rum and whiskey. The distillery has a cocktail lounge at the entrance, enjoy it. I discovered it during a special event- Broomsticks and Booze. So my review isn't based on their usual service. But here's my take. The lounge is pretty damn awesome. Dark and old school Interview with a Vampire. Set up in three separate seating areas. There's a really cool private room to the left. On my visit it was used for tarot readings. Love the decor!!! The cocktail menu takes a few minutes. Take your time and really appreciate the options. UD has created a page of specialty cocktails using each of their spirits. The staff, as packed as the event was was pretty good about answering questions. On my visit I tried the Charybdis Blood, a very blue, sparkling, and unique combination. Delicious. And the Witch's Cosmo, UD's twist on a devine cosmopolitan. I recommend both or either. I am a vodka girl, so I asked for a sip of their Shade Vodka- wow. I think I just found my new martini vodka. Smooth and not overpowering, perfect for the straight up sipping. I bought a bottle for home. Take the time to discover this spot, it's located in an industrial area south of the airport Louie Lane. The lounge is open Wednesday through Saturday 4 pm to 10 pm. There's some street parking out front and a lot to the north. Check out their website for more information info@underworlddistillery.com

Small and cozy with comfortable chairs and great decor and ambiance. Delicious cocktails and very reasonably priced. We came on comedy night, so it was pretty busy, but the bartender was on it

I love underworld! With their seasonal and house specials they are always top tier! Highly recommended.

This is such a great hidden gem. Locally owned and family operated distillery and bar with a great aesthetic and comfortable vibe. The gothic/macabre decor gives this place its name, but it is very warm and inviting with wonderful scenery to make it interesting. I love walking around and discovering all of the hidden treasures. The distilled spirits are very good with great care taken with the process. The bartender (who is the creator of the fantastic menu) is friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Everything is made in house using fresh ingredients and crafted flavors. I opted for a flight of the spirits and the bartender's choice for a cocktail. Everything was wonderful. They have a very extensive, interesting mocktail menu as well. Wednesday night is an open mic comedy show and they have different events on other nights. Overall, an excellent place to check out.

First time here and picked a perfect night since Krampus was there! Love the gothic theme of this bar and the drinks are delicious! Had a wonderful old fashioned with some limited bourbon they had made-delicious! Easily my new favorite drinking establishment

Deanna L.

Wow! This place is a hidden gem. The cocktails and atmosphere are wonderful. All of the staff are super friendly. The night we were here was Cocktails with Krampus. The place was absolutely packed. Drinks were made to perfection and came put quickly, and we got our picture taken with Krampus. We will definitely be returning to try a flight and some more cocktails.

WinTorr Wonderland at 10 Torr is pure holiday magic!…read more From the moment you walk in, you're transported into a cozy, festive winter wonderland. The holiday décor is on point whimsical, warm, and perfect for photos complete with a selfie station. The atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to gather with friends, celebrate the season, or just soak in some holiday cheer. Venture outside to the patio for three igloos complete with heaters and tables. The themed cocktails are creative, delicious, and beautifully presented (definitely try a holiday special!), I like the Jelly of the month club but the angry elf is a close second. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and keeps the vibe fun without feeling rushed. Whether you're stopping in for a casual drink or making it part of a night out, the pop-up feels special and thoughtfully done. If you're looking for a festive holiday experience in Reno, WinTorr Wonderland at 10 Torr is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back before the season ends!

I'd been dying to check it out for the holidays because I had seen on their social media and heard from friends about the fantastic decor and fun seasonal cocktail menu. It did NOT disappoint! It was a cozy little winter wonderland, complete with clear snow globe style domes out on the patio. We tried most of the holiday cocktails and every one was delicious and creatively served. Not that I expect anything less from Annalisa and the team. Year round they are slinging some of the best drinks in town. They were pretty packed, but she and Trevor worked the bar like a well-oiled machine, with a constant smile and their trademark great service. I will definitely try to get back before the seasonal menu ends.

The oversized Bloody Mary was a treat and drank it all! Food was delicious. Tried the appetizer Brussels sprouts, their french fries are the best and loved them! Their chicken wings in the Asian sauce. Finely a favorite. We tried the avocado board and it was the best. Large platter of avocado, fresh dressed salad, roasted veggies and cherry tomatoes, crispy potatoes and bread slices. Even tries their brûlée cheesecake, delicious. Not sure if it was because it was a Sunday or if they have limited the menu. The flatbread with the roasted garlic had good flavor on it. We had chicken sandwiches that were good and they gave a lot of onions rings with the split plate. So bar food wise it was good, but not having their entrees like before would limit me from thinking of the Depot for dinner versus lunch or happy hour. Drink wise, my friend had a whiskey cocktail that was quite good. I had a grapefruit agave seltzer that was refreshing. Service was unfortunately a little slow even though it appeared to not be that busy, but the manager did come out to help.

The Historic Reno Preservation Society sponsored a walking tour of the 4th Street area and beer…read moresampling of craft breweries along the way. The tour covered the area on 4th Street between Evans and Morrill Streets. We met at the corner of Morrill and 4th Streets, immediately east of the wells overpass. This area has a very distinct and colorful history that I was not aware of. 4th Street went from being a dirt road to becoming a key industrial and commercial road, to a highway. As the road connected east and west cities, it attracted many big businesses that thrived on 4th Street in years gone by. There were even railroad tracks that came right into the area. In that small four block area of 4th Street there were slaughter houses, a commercial brewery and other industries that had attracted the railroad to that area. In fact, the Depot brewery and restaurant, was indeed a train depot and there are remnants of the vault that once was part of the train depot. The door to the vault for some strange reason is in the men's room. My feeling is that it should be on display so all who come in can see it. It is a very impressive piece of history. . We had four staff members from the Reno Historical Society that took us on the walk and explained the businesses that thrived along the 4th Street Corridor and lectured on the architecture of some of the buildings that are still there that are over a hundred fifty years old, the significance of businesses having access to the train, and the evolution and development of 4th Street from a simple dirt road to a major road linking cities east and west until Interstate 80 was built. Along the way we made three stops at 3 craft breweries the first Brewery was the pigeon Head Brewery. the second was the lead Dog Brewery, and the third and final stop was the Depot Restaurant and Brewery. I am a huge fan of the craft beers and each one of the breweries definitely had something to my taste and liking even. it was interesting to go tour the breweries and sample their beers and have an appreciation of the brewmasters' special ingredients and talents as they practice their craft and make us all happy, happy. A very special way to spend part of your Sunday, thanks to the Historic Reno Preservation Society. Check out their website for future tours. Probst!

Your time ends at the 2 hr mark regardless of when you take off.
