TL;DR: I came to this salon three separate times, spent over 9 hours total, and still did not receive the hair we all agreed on. I left in tears, and the owner told me to "come back when I was done being hormonal." I am postpartum with PPD and PPA, and this appointment was meant to be my first act of self-care for my 40th birthday. After three appointments and more than nine hours, I did not receive the hair color or haircut that was agreed upon, despite multiple correction attempts. I hadn't had my hair done in nearly a year. I was 2.5 months postpartum, breastfeeding, and turning 40, and decided to treat myself. I brought several reference photos for both color and cut. At every visit, the stylist -- and later the owner -- reviewed the photos and confirmed the goal was achievable. Day 1 (4.5 hours) I left with the opposite color (light, ashy highlights instead of warm/chocolate tones) and a cut that did not match the reference photos. Once home, I noticed the cut was crooked and choppy, with uneven, blunt face-framing pieces. A correction appointment was scheduled. Day 2 Another stylist reviewed my reference photos and again agreed the goal was achievable. Midway through the appointment, my stylist began rushing due to her next client. By the end, my hair was toned so dark that no highlights were visible, essentially returning me to my starting color. There was no time left to fix it, and I was told it would "wash out." I left with damp hair. Day 3 (with owner supervision) Because refunds are not offered, I returned for another correction. The owner reviewed my photos and again agreed on the goal, without raising concerns about red undertones or feasibility. My hair had to be toned three times, and at the end I was told the look was unachievable due to darkness and undertones -- information that was never communicated at the start of the service. The final haircut includes shorter, uneven layers that were not requested and are difficult to style. Most concerning While visibly upset and postpartum, I was told by the owner to "come back when I was done being hormonal." Although she said this was meant in a kind way, it was inappropriate and unprofessional. I arrived calm and clear at each appointment; the distress occurred only after the appointment extended far beyond the expected time and I became physically uncomfortable from breastfeeding. A discount and gift bag were offered, but the service ultimately failed to deliver what was promised, and the interaction crossed a professional boundary. Yesterday I spent 5 hours with Leikin Kelly and my hair color is ruined. I'm listing the mistakes he made one by one to show how incompetent this stylist is. #1 - Leikin attempted to touch up my roots...I have brown hair and ended up with 2" BLOND roots! (He used color blend 8/9 on my root color which is a 7). See photos below. #2 - My highlights came out a weird yellow and not blond. I've been getting highlights for 25 years and this has never happened before #3 - He then tried to fix my now blond roots with a semi-permanent brown (color 7). This process covered up the new yellow highlight on my roots and turned them darker and as it was a semi transparent dye did not repair the blond roots he had originally messed up #4 - He attempted to fix my yellow highlights with an ash toner. As soon as he applied the toner I could see the highlights were turning grey/silver. I told him I thought this was an error, but he assured me it would be fine. It wasn't! When I shared how anxious I was that my hair looked such a mess. He gaslighted me by denying there was a problem and it was my mistake. In an attempt to try to fix the situation I reminded him of the 2 photos I had shown him to use as a the color I wanted. See below. It was then he told me to leave, and became very agitated. My hair was dripping wet. I requested he try to fix it but he refused. I asked him to call the salon owner, he refused. I am truly devastated by what's happened to my hair and the way I was treated. I have been wanting to get my hair permed for years. I finally pulled the trigger and set an appointment with Undone Salon for a perm. I asked my stylist for a beach wave perm, which she explained to me doesn't exist, or at least not in the way I saw online. I agree to have her do a tighter perm and figure it will eventually fall out enough and look like what I had wanted. After the whole process, my hair was almost totally straight. So she tells me "see this is what I was trying to tell you would happen" which........ was not even close to out conversation. She never voiced concerns of my hair taking the perm other than to say it might not look the way I wanted. She then encouraged me to try again but this time she wanted to avoid the curling rods all together and perm my hair in braids suggesting it may give a wave.... She ended up drenching me at the sink and I sat freezing and literally shaking while waiting for her to come back from buying more products at a near by store... we did it all over again and it gave my hair wave, but it was kinky nasty and so frizzy and looked like the worlds worst bed head. She did not fully dry my hair and ended up charging me 140 for the whole thing, saying she would not charge for the second go through but was charging for product and the original perm. I was a first time customer a couple weeks ago. My first impression was when the lady don't my hair was late due to traffic at noon? Sure, OK. That was fine. She got my foils in and once I was processed, she put in a toner that was supposed to be in for 20 mins. 55 minutes later..... I'm still sitting with my head in the sink, no one checked on me. She then comes in and said she FELL ASLEEP IN HER CAR!!!!! The roots of my hair were grey and blue! On top of that she still charged me $200. What the hell!!!! I got a 'I guarantee all my work' so she will fix it if I don't like it. Hell no lady, I'm not coming back for you to mess it up worse!! But how dare someone knowingly mess up your hair, tell you they fell asleep in their car, give you hot roots, and still charge full price!!! I'll never come back! read more

I had a scheduling snafu with my regular salon and couldn't get in for a few weeks. Needing a quick neck trim I went here. I told the girl what I needed - shave the neckline and leave the growth. She trimmed my neckline ("so it will lay flat!") and took 1/4" off the length - not so helpful when growing out a pixie. To top it off, it still cost me $50 and didn't even style it before I left, so I spent the rest of my Saturday disheveled and looking worse than I did going in. I also didn't know until she was ringing me up that paying with a card is an extra charge. I'll stick with my normal salon from here on out. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Elissa chemically burned me and charged me $250 for something I didn't ask for after wasting hours of my time. I had called the salon ahead of time and made sure they had a stylist that could give me what I wanted I even told the owner multiple times on the phone that if she wasn't sure the stylist could do the perm exactly how I had asked for it that I completely understood and would look somewhere else. When I got there everyone assured me that Elissa was the "perm queen" which would end up being far from the truth. Not only did she CHEMICALLY BURN ME, she wasted my time and the end result was no where near what I asked for. When the time came to pay I was holding back tears, she gave me a cream for the burn and had the audacity to charge me more than quoted and proceeded to give me a dirty stare when I didn't tip her. Annie Bradshaw is the BEST hairstylist and hair artist in the treasure valley! You know sometimes you feel obligated to go to the same hairstylist because you feel you need to be loyal?? This is NOT that place! Annie calms any hair worry you may have by always wowing you with the most healthy and also fashionably do! My hubby and I probably get our hair done by her more often than needed just because we love the results so much! I got a Brazilian Blowout and loved how silky my hair was for months, my husband loves to get his nose waxed and get a regular trim and style. Worst haircut experience of my life. I have been growing my hair out from a shaved pixie cut the last 6 months and just needed a trim on the nape of my neck because it was significantly longer than the rest of my hair. I booked online for a Thursday appointment but was contacted by my stylist to come in on Wednesday because she had a cancellation at 11. Well, when I arrived at 11 on that Wednesday, the staff that greeted me were not the most personable and rather rude and when I met my stylist, she said she didn't have me in her books and spent time trying to figure out what went wrong even after showing her the text messages she sent. She said since it was just a trim she could squeeze me in. We go back to the room and there's already a client in her chair, so she boots her off to fit me in. Super awkward having a complete stranger in this tiny room right next to you, but that I could get past. However, after "trimming" the part of my neck I asked, she proceeded to cut ALL around my head. I was fine with a small trim, but she KEPT CUTTING IT. Even after she dried my hair, she kept cutting it off in the back. The whole time I thought she was trying to taper it to clean it up a little. I was horribly incorrect. The back of my hair, that had finally reached one length, is now 6 different lengths and she blamed the choppiness on my hair color, saying that the blonde and brown tones just make it look that way and not the fact she spent 40 minutes cutting pieces close to the top of my head. Not just that, but she was thinning my hair all throughout so now my confidence has decreased significantly as I walk around with hair that looks like a mushroom that got run over by a lawnmower. She then had the audacity to charge me over $50 for something I could've had my 4 year old niece do and left me feeling pressured to leave a tip--oh, and I still have a chunk of hair on my neck. I asked for one thing and I didn't even get that but was charged for some "professional" service. I'm going to contact the studio directly as this is unacceptable and I can't believe I was charged so much. Even family and friends were appalled. I have NEVER been afraid of changes when it comes to my hair and I am rather adventurous, but I feel ugly with the hair on my head. I was trying to treat myself for my birthday after being extremely stressed with school and instead of walking out happy, I drove home in tears over it and now have to spend the next 6 months hiding the disaster with a hat. I went in last summer to have a balayage done and Marrissa did a terrible job. It was way to high up and my hair was practically fried afterward. It's been devastating because my hair is still trying to recover from that. I used to have beautiful healthy brunette hair and it's going to take at least another year for my hair to fully recover. It was my first time here and my stylist wasn't very welcoming nor friendly. I couldn't tell if she had a bad day or if that was her normal demeanor. I understand we're all human and can have a bad day but when you're in customer service and have a new client, if you want them to return, It might be a good idea to offer some better customer service. I had a foil and I could barely tell my roots were actually colored. Here I'm at a month and in dire need of a foil again and I can usually go 8 weeks. I still gave her a 20% tip and there was absolutely no "thank you" (that was a first!), however she wanted to see if I was interested in scheduling my next appointment! Instead of washing my hair, putting in some complimentary products, and combing it nicely to trim my hair (like every other haircut I've EVER gotten) the hair dresser just brushed out my mousse filled curly ass hair and cut it dry. Having my hair washed is one of my favorite parts of going in to get it done, and it was not even offered to me. So basically I paid $40 for a basic trim and a crunchy (from the mousse) semi-straight half-assed hair style and some too short bangs. So beyond disappointed. I was excited to switch to a different hairstylist than my usual cause he mentioned he worked with lots of curly hair.. one evening I told my boyfriend to schedule me an appointment for two days from then a Friday.. he ended up scheduling my appointment the next day and the miscommunication caused me to miss my appointment.. I had a card on file from a deep conditioning appointment a few months ago and they ended up charging my card when I missed my appointment 210$... I've tried numerous times to reschedule and no one is getting back to me accept for my first attempt I got a "out of office get back to you later " ... I feel taken advantage of and that they're unfairly using cancelation policies on me.. I had my appointment scheduled for 13hours... I would've understood to pay a fee for wasting someone's time but they haven't even given me any options.. very frustrating cause I really only die my hair every 6-8 months so I was honestly really excited. Recently she opened her own hair studio which offers a trendy salon experience without that trendy high fashion price, something you don't get from a regular upscale salon. When you're in her chair she really listens to what you are looking for and discusses options. She is an expert in color and color correction (boy do I know this), she offers trendy cuts, and always recommends the best products for your hair. If you haven't been to Undone Hair Salon, you are surely missing out on a great experience by a true professional! I did not have a good experience here. A stylist basically shaved my daughter's head to the skin when she asked her to just trim it. She was fifteen minutes late getting us for the appointment and did not apologize or address her lateness. She barely spoke to us the entire time. And then, I contacted the salon and heard nothing back. This was not my first awful experience here. I've gotten my nails done here before and it was not a good experience. I will never go here again. UPDATE: they got back to me but stood behind the stylist. It was four days before they got back to me and it was only after a follow-up email. They were "investigating".
