I brought my civic in here to be serviced a few weeks ago because I've been having troubles with the air conditioning. The service advisor told me that it could be upwards of 2 $2,000 just to fix the air conditioning. I knew right away that I didn't want to spend anymore money on an old car and made the decision to test drive a brand new 2026 Honda CRV. I immediately fell in love with the car and knew I had to have it and we made it happen! Everyone and I mean everyone at this dealership was so pleasant to work with and made this experience so easy for me. I'm terrible at remembering names and I remember everyone who helped me during this process. Had an appointment 7:45 am had to wait for 25 minutes to even get paid attention to. The worst part is that they informed me that my car with 21 k miles needed a differential fluid change or else they would void the " the free oil changes for life ". This is part of their sales scam. Even though it doesn't need it if you don't do their recommended services they will void your free old changes. I've had nothing but problems with this dealer. At first I was excited about the used 2020 Chevy Equinox But I didn't have all of the down I was only able to put $750.00 down they worked w me at first, but then I was recognizing how they were pressuring me to sign and one thing that stuck in my mind was how they asked me to sign a waiver that I cannot bring the car back if something fails. So I had put my van up for trade and I didn't see the $500.00 reflecting on the price breakdown. So I was bringing the car back to tell them of my concerns and they talked me out of it and as I went to leave gas was pouring out all over the parking lot, I said I didn't feel safe getting in the car so they said because the service people were gone at that time that they weren't able to provide me a loaner car to get that used car fixed so they offered me my own van which was the only blessing in this because I changed my mind completely about the car wasn't about to bring my van back and even though they were offering to fix it the whole thing just didn't sit right with me so I just kept my van asked for my pink back and my $750 that I put down and the GM tells me I didn't want that piece of s*** anyways you can have your van this place is awful they pressure you into getting a car and they lie too many times trying to make themselves look good when all it did for me was put a big thorn in my side I'm so glad it worked out the way it did but I'm sorry to say if I wouldn't have been offered my van I don't think they would have given it back and I don't think they would have given me my down back because they said it wasn't possible but I had already had my van why not give me my down you know thinking of buying a car don't go to unicars Honda in Indio. read more

Bought my car here- okay experience. The sales guys didn't know what they were talking about, kept trying to teach me about features that weren't even available on my car. Not a big deal as I researched my car prior and knew what I was getting. The real negative is the service department. Absolute mess. When you pull in to the service area, no one really tells you where to go. There are 2 lines, one for walk-ins and one for appointments. These are not labeled or marked in any way so, if you do pull into the wrong lane, it's back of the line for you. No one comes out to help, you just sit there, waiting to hopefully be helped in some sort of timely manner. If you're in the wrong lane and need to circle back to the right lane, the clock starts again. I make an appointment every time and the shortest I've waited is 45 to get checked in. I understand people get busy, but this happens EVERY time I'm here. I don't understand the point in scheduling an appointment if they aren't going to honor it. Did not receive the link to comment on my recent visit so Yelp will do. Came in as a walk-in hoping to be assisted and was greeted by Jessie. He listened to my cry out for help. My cars splash shield or the bottom cover of my car had completely came off. I had told Jessie that I can do partial payment if needed to be replaced. He reassured me that they'll take a good look first and will let me know . He called to let me know that it was ready and they were able to fix it and reattach with new clips and was informed that they'll only charge me with parts needed. That was such a blessing to hear. So many auto services out there will take advantage and just upsell. I'm so grateful to know there's still a few good people that's actually willing to listen and help. Thank you Jessie! read more

Progress has gone downhill following used car purchase from Unicars Honda, Indio CA 11/30/25 after great purchase experience with salesperson Ana. It's one week later and still waiting to receive paperwork and descriptions of the extras we purchased spelled out in contract. Descriptions nor itemized accessories were not included in purchase packet and I've spent break times at work this week to call repeatedly, sometimes successfully where someone picks up and my concern is heard, sometimes not. I've heard a few times that Ruth or Anthony will call me back. We shall see. These items, including "cash price accessories" total over $10k. Will continue to pursue but based on some of the other reviews I see a pattern of unprofessional practices which is a shame, as we prefer supporting local businesses. I've been reluctant to leave a negative review and gave Unicars Honda a 2-star review in Google but didn't include a comment because I thought they could follow through, given a week's time. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. Two days before returning to move forward on a car, I visited with my father to look at a vehicle for myself. At that time, I was told that I could not be helped because I was cosigning for someone else. That explanation made no sense, as being a cosigner does not prevent someone from purchasing their own vehicle. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. When we returned to purchase a specific vehicle, we had the keys and were told the car was still available. Our sales representative then gave the keys to another salesperson and later informed us the vehicle had been sold -- after they had already run my credit and presented financing numbers for a completely different car that we did not want. Running someone's credit for a vehicle that is no longer available and then attempting to switch them into another car is unacceptable. This entire experience felt disorganized and misleading. I would strongly recommend that others proceed with caution and ensure full transparency before allowing this dealership to run their credit. read more

BEWARE!!! I purchased a vehicle from Unicars Honda in Indio. They promote and advertise free oil changes for as long as you own the vehicle. I went in for my first oil change 6 months after the purchase of my vehicle and to my surprise I discovered that for me to receive the lifetime complimentary oil & filter change I would be required to have my tires rotated for $30 (which I had already had done the week before at a local time store) and have the rear differential fluid changes for $169. The car has 8,000 miles on it. The recommended rear differential fluid change is recommended at 100,000. In addition, the vehicle came with 10 year road side assistance. I wanted to test out the response time with the road side assistance and found that when I called I waited 30 minutes and no one picked up. I think I will just keep my AAA road side assistance. At least THE AAA service answers the phone. These perks that are sold with the vehicle as additional free service are not free. You are required to purchase additional services if you want to get your oil changed. DON'T BE MISLEAD LIKE I WAS. Unicars Honda also provided a lifetime limited powertrain warranty. I hate to see what additional services you need to pay for in order to receive the powertrain warranty. BEWARE! read more

Ongoing issue ignored after I paid for repair I brought my car to this Honda dealership and paid out of pocket for a repair that was supposed to fix the issue. Not only did the same problem continue, but I also reported it while my car was still under warranty -- and they told me it was fine. Now that it's worse, they're refusing to help or take responsibility even though the problem started before the warranty expired. I've tried to handle this respectfully and gave them multiple chances to make things right, but the lack of accountability and follow-up has been really disappointing. I expected a dealership with Honda's name to stand behind their work, especially when it involves a safety-related issue. Be cautious when bringing your car here -- make sure you get everything in writing and have them document every visit. read more

The check in process needs serious improvement in my opinion. I arrived 40 minutes early to my 11am appointment and saw only 5 cars move. By the time someone came out to greet me, it was 10:55 and my check in wasn't complete until 11:20. At no point did I detect any sense of urgency by anyone working there. I've never had issues with the work completed here, but the act of waiting to check in has always been bad. We've been coming here for any services and usually it's fast but today beat it. For a change oil, took over an hour and 40 mins when usually takes them 30 mins. 1st time waiting this long and I have my 4 kid's with me, baby's fussy, and kid's getting impatient. DO NOT MAKE AN APPT! It doesn't matter whether you make an appt. or not, there is no orderly process to checking in appts. vs. no appt. guests. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ONLINE OR ON THE PHONE MAKING YOUR APPT.! There are about 6 or 7 desks, available to occupy an employee, however there aren't any employees around until you're forced to cause ruckus. Had an appt. at 1030am, arrived at 1020am, there were 2 vehicles ahead of me in the one line. I finally gave up at 1045am and walked inside because nobody had come outside to address us 4 vehicles. read more

I came in for an AutoButler cleaning. It was clean on the outside but the inside looked like they only vacuumed the carpets. My infotainment screen looked like it wasn't touched usually it's wiped clean and my small back window wasn't even cleaned which makes me think all the inside of my windows weren't even touched. My back cargo tray wasn't cleaned at all. (I have a CRV) This has made me rethink about having this company work on my car in the future. read more

I recently bought a used Lexus from Unicars Honda's used cars. I saw the car online and drove from Las Vegas to get it last month. Upon signing the paperwork I received a work order to return at my convenience for window tinting and security installation. No problem - another road trip for me! When I had some free time I called Unicars Honda service department for assistance. I was treated very nice and advised I would also need some service on my car as the horn wasn't working. I scheduled an appointment for the following week. The first person I came in contact with was Mike Smith. He was awesome! He was really hustling trying to listen to people's requests all while helping move the service line. I could see after telling him what I was there for he was listening. He was so attentive and went above and beyond concerning customer service. I can't say enough about the excellent customer service. My plans changed and the horn wouldn't be available until the following day. Mike advised they (Unicars) didn't have a horn for Lexus and he could get me a generic horn and I would be good to go, but if I could wait til tomorrow he was sure he would have the correct horn. Everything was good and I had a fun little impromptu night and morning in Indio. I got an Uber back to Unicars Honda saw Mike and asked the status. He said they were still working on my car, but was aware I needed to get back to Vegas. He kept me updated and around 5 he said I could check out. He pulled up afterwards in my car, I thanked him and was on the road - Vegas bound. Oh wait, I just remembered Alex over at Unicars used cars promised me a fill up when I came back for the window tinting and security install. I headed down the street, beeping my horn! Sounds like a Lexus!. I pulled in and parked at Unicars used cars. I saw the wonderful Ruth and chatted with her. She's such an awesome person! Alex was TRUE to his word and filled up my gas tank! These people are almost TOO good to be TRUE! I made it home safe and since my windows were tinted I knew I had to keep them up. Lucky for me I have another car to get around in so my Lexus sat for about 5 days. When I got the car out to drive I noticed the wind deflector wasn't in the car. It goes in between front and back seats. I think I must've been so excited to get on the road I didn't realize I didn't have it. I called Unicars and advised them what happened. I also still had Mike Smith's number so I texted him my problem. I ended up talking to a guy named Carl in service who was very helpful. He told me to send a picture of the wind deflector and he would look around for it. He let me know a day or two later he located it. I advised him I live in Vegas and really couldn't make a trip back to California and was hoping they could mail it to me. After checking with the boss he verified my address and said he would have it sent to me. I received it, packed very nice and safe on Sunday! I had an 8:30 AM appointment to have a regular service on my Honda. I was there at 8:30. I was the 5th car in line. Nobody was checking drivers in. I finally got my car checked in 45 minutes later. At that time there was 10 cars behind me waiting. I was told since I had an appointment my car would be ready by 11:15. It wasn't ready, i finally got out of there at 11:45. The only work done was an oil change. Really poor service. One of the employees told me that it was typical on Monday. If it is a known problem why not fix it? read more

Worst service experience ever. I booked a 10:15 am appointment at Unicar Honda for a basic oil change and tire rotation. Arrived at 10:00 am, but no one even acknowledged me until 10:30. The service area was crowded, staff looked lost, and there was zero organization. They finally took my key, had me sign something, and didn't give me a receipt. Minutes later, another employee came over asking me to move my car even though they already had my key. At that point, I left and waited for their call. My "quick" service took until 2:00 pm. No car wash, and it looked like nothing had been done at all. I'm just hoping they actually changed the oil and rotated the tires. If you value your time, go somewhere else. Had an issue with my door locks and the sales manager said he would get back to me by end of day and he forgot so when I walked in he said there was nothing he could do when I told he he forgot to get back to me and probably never addressed the issue he laughed I was so over their lack of professionalism.
