Well maintained and inviting beach club in PM. Glad to have found it today. At $10 US a day can't be beat. That's for a palapa (sun umbrella) and 2 lounge chairs for the full day. Food and drinks at a moderate price for a separate charge. We enjoyed chicken tenders, coconut shrimp and fries. Quality but not quantity. The fruit smoothies were refreshing and tasty. Shower is in the open area (not private) to wash sand off your body. Not to shower fully with shampoo etc. Separate bathrooms for men and women which are very simple but do the job. Could be cleaner. We were able to walk off the beach two days in a row and grab some seats under palapas with some shade/some sun. We ate well - food & drinks were delicious - service was attentive. We were far enough back that the beach vendors weren't terribly bothersome - some came back, but not as many as the sunbathers up front! The seagrass was real, but doable. Overall, great spot for seats at $10 a day for the two seats! read more

The ceviche was fresh, both the shrimp and fish (I liked the fish better) and the guacamole was one of our favorites in town. Love the spicy green/yellow dipping sauce. Great spot! The food was excellent, better than I expected. We had the shrimp ceviche in an avocado, and guacomole. Both were delicious and fresh! Great margaritas too - I had the strawberry marg. Surprisingly good food and excellent service all day as we relaxed under our palapa between dips in the ocean. Beach clubs sometimes charge overwhelming prices for underwhelming food and service, but not this one. I loved the guacamole. After being through several establishments along Tulum, and hitting Puerto Morelos, this was a small oasis amid so many establishments trying to make a fast buck. This is the prime location for beach front service, watching the sea come in, hysterical wait staff - (Jorge is the star of this place, at least this day!) and the ability to get almost anything you want to eat and drink, amazing, The "shower bucket" is a shower, it is amazing, and the facilities are amazingly clean, enough adults and children to enjoy and not feel dirty, dingy, or below par at all. The service - excellent. Truly, if you spent several days at this location, and in Puerto Morelos, you are going to be guaranteed an amazing vacation! read more

This is the best food, best service and best beach experience ever! There are massages by Vanessa, Giselle and Breny that are wonderful. Javier, Carlos, Moises, Ruben, Angeles, and Gustavo lead the wonderful team of servers, chefs and bartenders. This is like a family to all who visit. Such great care and incredible food! We ate here 3 times while visiting Puerto Morelos. The tacos are amazing but I have to say something specifically about the special guacamole with shrimp and walnuts, wrapped in cucumber. Great place to just sit and enjoy the beach. It took a little bit of time to get a table due to the number of people that were there, but once we did, we were not rushed at all. Basically, the very relaxed atmosphere encourages people to sit and enjoy, not feel rushed and just eat or drink to their leisure. That is why people will wait for a table. I'm ok with that if the favor is returned when I finally sit! (Which it was.) The wait staff was a little overwhelmed but were very attentive when they could be. They were respectful and even those that spoke only Spanish, they were very patient with the traveling Americans that fumbled through their orders. One of the best items on the menu was the guacamole. Oh my heavens! The fresh ingredients and the pure taste was out of this world. I would order this every time if I lived in that area! We walked here from square in 10 minutes for lunch. The extensive menu had plenty of good choices, and we had grilled salmon and it came with several veggies. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and sauce was more limey than sweet, which we liked, though way too many onions for our taste, the avocado in the shrimp cocktail was great. I LOVED this place! They had seating on the beach itself, at the bar, or behind everything in the shade under some trees. It was a great option for lunch after a few hours at the beach. They had live music when we were there (a saxophone player) and also offered massage services. I had the Camarones Unico and it was EXQUISITE! The concept of shrimp wrapped in bacon sounded odd at first but was delicious! It came with an apricot marmalade to dip it into and the contrast of sweet and salty truly perfected the dish. I just wish the portion has been bigger for the price that it was. The guacamole was very fancy and definitely picture worthy. We also tried the vegetarian ceviche. This seemed rather odd to me when I saw it on the menu so we were dying to see what it was like. Overall, we really enjoyed it! Despite not having and meat in it, it was flavorful. The mushrooms and avocado made it filling and the mango and citrus juice gave it a tangy and sweet contrast. Overall, delicious! The smoothies were not anything special but I really liked that you could choose what fruits/how many you wanted. The vibe of this place was perfect for the beach and I want to go back to Puerto Morelos and experience it again! read more

On the day we came, almost all the tables were taken. We saw that they had picnic tables out front by the kitchen so we asked if we can sit there. Waiter said ok. We sat there, waited & nobody came. So we approached a waiter & asked to see the menu. He grabbed the menu that was sitting at the entrance & gave it to us. That menu was wet & dirty! Then the owner/ manager came & told us we can order food but there will be no service if we sit at the picnic table. So why did the waiter say yes on the first place?? She also mentioned it will be a 20-30 minute wait for food. At this point we were pissed but hungry. Since we weren't going to get any service anyway, we decided to order the food to go so we could wait in our nearby hotel instead. Food was edible, but nothing great. 3.5/5 After arriving to the area, my family and I ventured down the beach in the evening to find food. We walked right up to the bar area and were seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly. We enjoyed cocktails and wine. The burgers were very good! Definitely a fun choice. The area was a little dark right on the beach, but the area as a whole was very cute. There were lights strung and swings along the bar. We even enjoyed some live music from a saxophone quartet. Overall the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice. This is a wonderful bar, especially if you get to know the guys! Mikey, the main bartender, makes some of the best drinks in Puerto Morelos. If you get the chance, be sure to ask him to make a Dirty Monkey for you, it'll revive you after a night out or get you on track and rejuvenated for the night to come.
