This place is not worth going to. Charged me $102 for a gel pedi (plus massage) and dip manicure nail removal. I didn't even get polish on my hands. Less than 30 mins later my gel polish on my toes came off. The owner also tries sell you real estate while you getting your nails done. You can't leave so your forced to listen. Very unprofessional salon. The nail techs held inappropriate and loud conversations that no customer should hear. From profanity to sexually directed conversations. I'm only giving this place 2 stars because my nail tech, Dora, was professional, courteous and quiet. She did a decent job on my dipping powder mani. I can tell they have loyal customers which is great but for any new comers, this place was not very welcoming. my technician was very sweet but my manicure is awful. maybe i should have said something in the moment but i'm a non confrontational person so i just paid, tipped her well and left. not coming back. i went in for a basic gel manicure. i have short nails and had no polish or anything on. it took 55 minutes and she barely cleaned up my cuticles. my hands look awful. the gel is messy and the skin around my nails looks gross. she barely took any cuticle build up off and the edges around my fingers are calloused from yard work, and she didn't treat them at all (usually my old tech used to clip them so my fingers would be soft)a i'm really disappointed. $35 & $10 tip for this. i feel bad calling people out but her name is Lauryn. Do not go to her. If they assign you, run. it's hard finding a new salon after moving but this one so far is the worst result i've had. EDIT: 2 days later and my nails are already peeling. They don't have you wash your hands before you start, they don't remove cuticles unless you request it, and they leave your broken jagged nails under the gelx application. I came here because it's closer to my home than the place I usually go to. I waited just a few minutes before someone took me. I came in for a single color gel mani. She did let me know ahead of time it was going to be $35 which is much more than I pay at my usual place. Everything was fine until she began to file my nails. She cut me on my pinky and she didn't acknowledge it or apologize. I thought she might be gentle when applying alcohol before the gel or with the acetone when cleaning up the gel. Boy was I mistaken...it's almost like the was applying extra on purpose right where she cut me. I initially chose one color but I guess they were out so she suggested another which I was fine with. She then goes to tell me that the polish she chose for me is actually more expensive as if she was doing me favor. I left pretty unhappy because I hardly get manis anymore. I would like to first preface this review by saying this place does an okay job.. so in a bind... they're gonna make you look slightly less raggedy. However...there're pretty expensive for the service you receive. For example...I paid $70 for a gel mani and a very basic pedi. That may be competitive pricing...but here in Vegas nail shops are a dime a dozen and they really need to stand out and go above and beyond to set themselves apart. They don't offer beverages...unless you pay for a $40 basic pedicure. Which is foolish. As a consistent customer, I've spent $80 including tips on several occasions just for my self double that when i bring my mom...and its seems they don't care whether you come back or not. I brought my mom here a few times and while she was getting a pedicure...the lady next to her received a bottle of wine. My mom asked if she could also have something to drink and they very plainly said you have to have a $40 pedicure to receive ONE beverage. Being a returning customer is not enough. It's 106 degrees in the Las Vegas Valley and offering refreshments... even water would be kind...and good business. My mom was very offended and the owner Ivy seemed unbothered. Since customer retention isn't important... we'll look elsewhere for better service and frankly better work. read more

When you come in there is no seating if you have to wait for a service or if you have a friend with you that isn't getting a service. It's also dark. Finding a salon that had massage chairs were important to me. Let. Me. Tell. You! BEST CHAIRS EVER! So incredibly comfortable. Usually I dont feel comfortable using the massage chair because it is too complicated or my feet can't reach to put my feet up and get a massage. Not the case at Unicorn nails! You can adjust the strength of the massage and you can move the chair forward or backward. I got a crystal spa pedicure and at $55 more than worth it! It comes with a (sugar?) scrub, and then a mask for your legs wrapped in hot towels. Definitely worth it! More than relaxing. Cute place. Prompt service. Talented employees. I am updating my review because I got my nails done 2 weeks ago and today one of my nails straight up just fell off. It didn't break my natural nail, the acrylic just fell off of my nail. I've been using a bandaid to keep it attached all day. There's also polish chipping on another one of my nails which I've never even seen before. And, when it was the only problem, I was willing to let it go; but, the guy asked if I wanted my toenails cut and I said yes but he barely trimmed them. Within a few days they were too long again. I discovered this neighborhood strip mall nail place in the Northwest area of Las Vegas. I called ahead and they said they could get me in quickly for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I sat in the pedicure chair for at least 30 mins, so If you're in a rush, I wouldn't go there at busy times. Once they started on me they informed me of all options and gave me their full attention. The owner and her husband seem to keep very busy and they offer alot of colors for gel, nail designs and then some. They have a cute unicorn mural on the wall and some fake unicorn-ish clouds hanging. It's industrial but they made it cute and it's a pretty open layout. My nails turned out ok, I had a coffin shape and she didn't offer to shape them again. Not sure why, my toe color wasn't the same exact color but I find sometimes that happens with gel nails and regular polish. I will say the pedicure chairs gave a better massage then most walk in salons. Not my best experience but priced reasonably and got the job done. read more
