10/16/25 went in for my evening mani pedi appointment with regular nails wanting regular polish. I believe it was a married couple from what I understand of their language. He did my pedi. She did my mani. I wasn't going to say anything because it's such a tough economy but I just hope they can become more aware from this. New owner is nice. 1) So I look over and she was literally using the same nail file she's using on me to file a wart or some absess on the back of her thumb! I can't believe I let her touch me with that after and continue filing my nails - I think I was just so shocked and speechless. l and just wanted to get out of there. Gross! 2) it seemed he grabbed the cuticle removing cutting device from the tray. I didn't see it sterile wrapped or anything. Then he proceeds to clean it with what looked like rubbing alcohol or something like it was just used on someone else an hour ago. Now on me. Gross again! 3) Also, both used electric file for some reason on all 20 toes when it was unnecessary with regular polish on before.... Nothing to file down - just use a square foam file if needed to smooth but now I have to look at these regrowth divets for 8 months while they grow out! My toe nails have never been so thin and flimsy. The whole reason why I only use regular polish is because I don't get those ridges and can take care of them! Genuinely the worst nails and service I've been to. I was excited to try this place as my first ever nail salon experience after seeing the great reviews. I did a walk in, and was the only customer. They placed me with a nail tech and then rushed me to another nail tech once a regular came in. They treated the regular good... but not me. I felt very worried and not relaxed, they do not make u feel calm or reassured. They were rushing, staring at my nails and speaking in a different language. I left very disappointed and with messy, disgusting nails and glue/color on my skin. Seriously save your money and go literally anywhere elsewhere, they can't even get a basic black almond nail right. I was probably treated this way because I'm not a regular and I am a younger person. -_- I am incredibly dissapointed and warn others. I was looking for a new salon closer to home and was drawn to Bijou Nail Spa. It could have been that it is next to a Capriottis, but it turned out great!! I had to have my hard gel nails removed and a simple manicure done on my nails because I'm having surgery and I'm required to make sure they can see my nail beds. maybe too much information. I don't like leaving bad reviews, and ultimately I am impressed with how long the actual nails lasted but that was the only thing I can compliment with this salon. And it's the only reason I gave 3 stars. They were completely empty when we arrived. They said they had time for three full sets. They sat us promptly and began working, each of us with a separate nail tech. However, halfway through gluing the tips on and cutting/shaping the nails, a few other people trickled in, and then 2 of the techs just got up and left us sitting there while they began services for other people. Which I wouldn't mind if you had sat people to soak before a pedicure for example and then come back, but they didn't. They just left us there to wait for the one remaining nail tech to finish all three of our nails. I would think you as a business would take care of the customers you're already working on before just walking away mid service. Which honestly at first, I didn't mind waiting until the wait became ridiculous. Why not ask the new/ incoming customers to wait until we're finished? Aside from that There was clear miscommunication or language barrier and so the shape/length of my daughter and her friends nails were all wrong. There was one lady who did an exceptional job but the other two could not cut/file the nails to the same sizes or shapes. So it ended up taking 3 hours after everything because the one lady had to fix all the mistakes of the other two. (Which should've been easy to begin with as we all had inspo pics we showed them numerous times) as well as communicate between all the customers and the techs. So she had to keep stopping and we were left to wait more. The busier the salon got, the more we were placed on the back burner, despite being the first people there and halfway through our service. And then they were so rushed to get us out of the way they sliced our actual fingers with the Emory boards, while filing and each of us had deep cuts on our fingers from them filing our actual skin. I will say I gave them 3 stars because the nails stayed on forever. It's been a month since we visited and they just came off yesterday. I wanted to wait and see how long they lasted before I left a review. We asked for and paid for extra (thicker) acrylic because I lift elderly patients all day and they tend to snap off if the acrylic is thin like typical salons make them. But they actually stayed on longer than most places I have been. Thats the majority of why I gave only 3 stars, aside from the aforementioned chaos and them not being able to handle/juggle the customers that were there first and instead of finishing us up and moving on, they made us wait while the latter customers got their entire services completed. So they actually were done and got to pay and leave and we were still sitting there half finished just waiting. Once the other customers were done and gone then we got the assistance of the original three we had begun with, hours later. Not professional at all in my opinion. The second thing I will say is we paid a hefty amount for gel polish on all three sets so that it wouldn't chip fade etc and honestly regular polish probably would've lasted longer than their gel polish. It actually chipped and the entire nail color peeled within two days. So while my nails were nice and thick and stayed on, they were just clear because their cheap gel polish did not stay on. I've never in years of having my nails done, ever experienced gel polish peel off like skin after a bad sunburn. And lastly, I asked for 5 different colors. Which they acted like it was such an uncommon and inconvenient thing to ask for. I asked for 5 different pastels (with a pic for reference) and they didn't even match the colors right, they gave me neon colors instead of pastels. I didn't complain bc clearly I was already annoyed with the wait time and wasn't about to have them take it back off and have to wait even longer, as they were already overwhelmed and could not multi task so I just left it alone, but even my daughters nails and her friends looked weird, had sections of the nail where they failed to paint it... But regardless no one would know that because the paint didn't last 48 hours. So if you go just know, don't pay more for gel bc their gel polish is trash. I did leave a tip bc I'm not a POS but they certainly didn't earn it with the service they provided nor the quality of their services and products/polish. It was abundantly clear that their only concern was being able to take as many customers as possible but no care for quality work. Just shuffle as many people in and out the door as fast as you can. After reading the reviews and seeing the pictures from others, it appears my experience and crappy paint wasn't a single handed experience. So, spend your money at ur own risk. I paid over $200 for a less than mediocre service and experience. read more

**UPDATE** Stephen got me in today and completely made it all better!!!! Annnnnnnd then because the nails had to have the polish drilled off and repainted, there was no more acrylic put on and they were so thin, that when I scratched my back one just snapped right in two. Then the next night one on the other hand did the same way. So I ended up going to my little sister's wedding at Disneyland with 2 broke a$$ nails. The only reason I'm leaving a two star review is because last time I went here I got my nails done by Stephen and he is AMAZING. However, today my nails look sloppy and rushed even tho I sat with this woman for over an hour. because I had a difference of opinion about the color I wanted I feel like she got irritated and just threw the color on because she wanted to do what she wanted to do even though I am the paying customer!! I was already nervous when I walked in and saw Stephen had a customer even though I called on Thursday and made an appointment to get my nails done by him I went ahead and let this other woman do them. Never again. So just beware that Steven is amazing. I went to get my nails done and the owner Steven did my nails. I told him I was allergic to gel polish and UV light, and he told me with his confidence and expertise as a nail tech that I was not, and it was impossible to be allergic to it, and that they use LED light which is no difference from the led light that they use for the gel polish. I didn't came back today after calling them after I got out the hospital a couple days ago from getting my nails done I was instructed to take them off by the doctor, so I called Steven and let him know. He told me to come in and take them off and he would do it and when I got here today he tried to say that he was going to charge me to take them off. He is a horrible businessman and nail tech. You do not guarantee a product and then when it tells you, you do not correct it and make it right why your customer I said I spent almost $100 to turn around less than a week and have to pay him to take my nails off so instead of paying him, I left and I am going to find someone else and pay if I have to take them off, but I will not pay him after he calls the situation, but what I am going to do is seek legal counsel to sue him for his actions as a business owner and license nail tech. And I definitely didn't want to leave not one star because they were not worthy of that so therefore, I only did because the app makes you. I would not recommend anyone spend their money here on any level and I will be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I really wanted to like this nail salon so that I could have a "regular" spot to go-to, but sadly I will not be going back. Everyone was very friendly, environment was clean, but my nail tech never offered me any pedicure upgrades or even discussed with me what I wanted besides the color of polish. I was legit looking for at least a $45-50 pedicure with the whole works. Instead what I got was a $20 pedicure in luke-warm water, no paraffin and the nail polish was somehow (if you can believe it) the worst part. I HATE having my cuticles pushed back, it always hurts, so I skip it. Well unfortunately because no one asked me what I wanted and she obviously wasn't into talking to me at all, I got the absolute most unrelaxing, painful pedicure I think I have ever had. I left with my feet actually dryer than when I came in, my skin was flaking and heels cracked when I got there and literally they looked worse when I came home. How is that even possible? She didn't even try to use a pumice stone, let alone a blade, so my feet looked like soggy cracked sausages with bright orange sloppy polish that looked like it was done by my 8 year old niece. The polish was all over my skin, she did not even let me leave with toe-separators!! By the time I got home I had polish all over my toes and cracks between my nails, it was lumpy and bubbling. Sorry guys, you all were very nice but there is something missing in your staff when they don't want to talk to your clients and make money. *shrug* read more
