These are by far the best doughnuts in the Cd'A area. Their chocolate bars and Bavarian cream filled doughnuts are my favorite. They have different flavors of bagels and cream cheese which have been great as a savory option. Their breakfast burritos are also very good! I just had their kombucha from tap for the first time, and it's excellent. My kids love it here too because there's plenty of space to roam and comfy places to sit everywhere. It's well lit and comfortable, even in the winter due to the big fireplace in the middle. Bathrooms have always been real neat and clean. Everyone here has been so helpful and friendly each time. We were greeted right away by an employee who complimented my son's haircut, and he was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The staff behind the counter was patient as we decided what to order, though the interaction felt a little less warm, almost as if we were interrupting their day. We picked out six doughnuts and spent nearly $18. The dough itself was excellent and probably the strongest part of the experience. The toppings, though, tasted a little artificial to us and were sweeter than we prefer. There also wasn't much of a selection if you're looking for simpler classics like glazed or powdered doughnuts. The doughnuts were creative and certainly different, but for the price, we didn't feel like the overall value was there. We like BLVD Doughnuts. It's a fun little donut shop and a good place to go for a treat if you're looking for doughnuts. They have a good selection of doughnuts (get there early, some sell out), and they have a lot of fun combinations as well. The staff is very friendly, the owner is especially friendly. The main reasons that this place gets four stars instead of five? First is the price. I get it, these are fancy doughnuts, but they're still doughnuts. We always end up splitting doughnuts when we go because of how expensive they are. The second, is that the interior isn't exactly "kid friendly" and I have a bunch of kids. The decor is super hip and stylish, but a lot of it is also white. Not a great combination when you have a two year old with chocolate covered hands. The parking lot is also a little awkward. I found this lovely doughnut shop on accident! Though not a lot of curb appeal, I entered and noticed how spacious and bright it was inside (natural lighting!)! The modern interior and photo-shop worthy walls was minimalistic but in the most positive way! I loved the wide range of seating with the neutral colored cushions! There is plenty of space you're working solo or coming to hang out with friends! I was greeted in a friendly manner from two sweet employees who happily told me all about their donuts, and wow! What a selection! (Additionally, they have gluten free options too!) I finally chose two - a chocolate covered old fashioned and a coconut taro. Handed to me in a trendy box, i immediately dove into the coconut taro one and the texture and flavor was impeccable! Very happy to have stumbled upon this gem! Bigotry doesn't always kick the front door in. Sometimes it walks over holding a vacuum like it's got somewhere important to be. I've lived in North Idaho long enough to know the difference between a misunderstanding and being made to feel unwelcome. Don't tell me what I saw. Don't tell me what I've lived. I know the game. Before anyone comes to this place's rescue with the "good Christian" this and that, save it. I know what North Idaho is. I know Hayden. I know Coeur d'Alene. I've lived there. I know what it feels like to be stared at like you don't belong. I know what a face of disgust looks like. I've tolerated it for years. I brought my 7-year-old daughter in so I could teach her how to fix, restring, and tune her acoustic guitar. We weren't putting on a concert--we were tuning a guitar. I've been to this place plenty of times, but this time a woman walked up carrying a vacuum and told us, "You can't play that in here." I explained that we weren't playing anything--we were tuning it. Her response? "Well, this is my establishment." Here's the part that really got me: after making sure we got the message, she didn't even finish vacuuming. She walked away from the very thing she interrupted us to do. At that point, the vacuum felt less like cleaning equipment and more like a prop for saying, "You need to leave." That was my cue. I left with the clear impression that this woman didn't want a colored man and his mixed-race daughter in "her" establishment. People are free to draw their own conclusions. I know what that interaction felt like because I've lived through enough of them. What hurts the most is that this place gave my daughter her first experience with what I believe was racial discrimination. No parent wants to have that conversation with a seven-year-old. To my people of color: tread lightly in this place. That's my advice based on my experience. And to the people reading this with contempt, praying I'm wrong instead of asking why someone would leave feeling this way... pray and forgive me. I'll tell my story anyway. read more

I got the pumpkin spice, donut and pistachio doughnut, the pumpkin spice one had barely any flavor and a weird aftertaste, and the pistachio donut was sickeningly sweet. Prices were good, branding was cute and restaurant was clean and service quick. But the quality of the food was very disappointing. Really want to like this place but had an odd experience. All the tables were dirty... like full on thick crumbs and spilt coffee. We asked if we could get a table cleaned. The very nice, polite worker said "Let me take care of that", and proceeded to wet a cloth... and then handed it to us to clean it ourselves!!! Like girl, what?! If you want the 'mers to clean the tables themselves, then maybe set up a cleaning station. read more
