Other than some garbage it was a great place to entertain kiddos while my hubby had a meeting.

    Massively Big!

This unique playground neither excited me nor disappointed. Since I'm an adult now I wouldn't get a kick out of this as much as a little kid would. However, this massively oversized climbing jungle gym soared about 4 stories in my opinion and was visually fun to go look at from the ground. If I was a concerned parent I would be scared if my child went all the way to the top. But to people that knows how to climb or are good at it, the top is one destination you want to reach.

The Tri-city area doesn't have much going on, so it makes sense this pyramid is a popular bucket list item. It's a cool place to chill, if you just want to climb a giant pyramid and watch the sun set or lie inside of it and have a heart to heart talk with someone. I've never been when the gate is locked, but it is open until the late evening I believe.

Made it to the top! Yeee!

I enjoy climbing up this structure! I only wish there were other similar ones around the area! Although you do have to climb at your own risk. It does challenge one to face their fears! It's perfect for practice and play! The moment you get to the top...you'll feel accomplished! Good stuff!

Literally a huge playground for teens and adults. At first it can be quite scary since it's so big and tall but it's rewarding when you reach the top!

a review from @amom2kidsandapark…read more It was hot today and this park seemed like the perfect destination...sea breeze, amiright? No. No, I'm wrong. There's a large man-made hill between the park and the shore blocking any and all "sea breeze". With zero to no shade over the structure, it's safe to say we didn't stay here long. The park is pretty large with two ball fields and plenty of grass in between (no permanent outfield boards so it's essentially a huge open field with some dirt and a backstop on either corner). The entire park has paved sidewalks all around, especially near the playground where the sidewalks weave in and out of picnic tables and a man-made grove of small/someday giving shade trees. That's one thing this park really has going for it, there's a lot of trees. The play structure is in a circle format with bridges or a crawl tunnel connecting platform to platform. This format really allows for younger children not yet ready for the suspended lily pads or monkey bars to have fun and enjoy the entire structure. There are three slides (sidewinder, tube, double), steps, various ladders, activities, and the before mentioned crawl tube that can almost act as a fourth slide because of the angle. No swings or playground extras. While there is a parking lot and bathroom it couldn't be any farther from the playground. We parked on Point Lobos Ct which is much closer to the playground but we still had to walk a few minutes to get to the playground since it's tucked in the back corner. This park is great for biking and scootering or even stroller walks since it has a lot of long sidewalks.

It has curves so it isn't just a rectangle space. And I found the landscaping to be very clean and well thought out. Street parking only but I've never seen an issue with over crowding the residential. There's so much curb parking throughout the circumference that it spreads parking out. There is a war memorial here with plaques and towering flags. It is quite official looking and don't remember this years ago when I was younger. There's a small playground with a cool cement slide that kids love to zoom down on with cardboard underneath them. There's a basketball court, 6 tennis courts and 2 baseball/softball fields. All available for the community to use. I got reacquainted with this park as I parked once and ate a lunch on a bench on a beautiful spring day. I took a short walk around the park for a little exercise and took in the scenery and features. I eventually came back to practice on this massive tennis wall where you can hit into this wall and the ball just comes right back. A way to practice/work out without a partner. Except I used it for pickleball which I am trying to learn. It's helped me out immensely even with just a few visits. I don't live in this town but I live less than 3 miles from here. I have parks nearer to me but none have these specific features that's been attracting me as of late. It is clean, peaceful and vibrant with community activity and to that I can only show some love. Easy fiver!

Fast and super fun--kids absolutely love it and don't want to stop Tip: bring a piece of cardboard, it makes sliding smoother and even more fun! What we like: Clean and newer picnic area Restrooms available (very convenient!) Plenty of parking Heads up: Not much shade and limited seating, so bringing a picnic mat is a good idea Overall, a relaxing and low-crowd spot for kids to run and play Perfect for after school or a chill weekend outing Veteran's Memorial Park - Hall Ranch 4525 Dyer St, Union City, CA 94587

When we came across a video of this location on instagram we knew we had to plan a day to come. The weather says 80, but with the breeze and the slight shade from the trees it felt more like low 70s. We were lucky to get the only bench in front of the main play structure over looking the smaller ones. Others sat in lawn chairs and on blankets under the trees. There is no public restroom on site. There is a Ranch 99 about a block away, so if the lil one had to potty that is where we planned to venture. There is one food truck selling Mexican food - cash only - otherwise bring your own snacks. We were fortunate to snag parking directly in front of the park as space is limited. Around the park, there is a single block creating half a "circle" of parking availability. There is more parking around but it requires crossing the street. The residential street directly across from the park is no parking 9a-4p. There is a path for littles to ride their bikes, scooters or skate around safely, remaining visible. Our daughter kept hers in the car while she played between the multiple structures with different "friends." There is also a fitness area on site as well as a smaller tot area in a separate section of the park and a half basketball court. There was a birthday party being held on the premise. This is definitely a park we would return to if she requested. The lack of restroom does have me a bit torn, but knowing this allows us to plan a bit smarter. I would bring a friend along to accompany her as they could play on different structures while both remain visible. Our tall 6 year old played in both areas of the park - big and little kid areas - and enjoyed them both. They is quite a bit of exploring and lots to do for a free adventure day at the park.
