I was really excited visit the new neighborhood British pub. I remember loving British pubs in London for their decor, charm, and comfy foods. The decor here is nice but it's quite small so there's limited seating inside and outside. I do not suggest the couches if you plan on eating inside because the height of the tables are so low it's only really good for drinking. Outdoor seating during the day can be alright but it can be too hot or too sunny since there is limited shade and we had some flies visiting our table. I wish they offered shepherds/cottage pie on the menu. I ordered fish and chips instead but there was no option for mushed peas. It's not everyone's favorite but it's what I remember having overseas. I just saw someone post a huge side order of mushed peas but when I went they didn't have it on the menu. The homemade tartar sauce did not land well with me. I felt it lacked some more flavor and acidity. Also, there was some type of herbal stuffing in my fish? I didn't like it - it threw me off completely off.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening of apps and shared entrees here the other night. The menu is very authentically Brit--both food and beverage. We started with cocktails--I thoroughly enjoyed my gin old fashioned! My wife loved her Pimm's Cup. We had the following: - French fries - crispy with a delicious ketchup - mushy peas - an acquired taste but felt like we needed to try - Scotch egg - it was eggcelent (sorry) - smash burger - so delicious Loved the atmosphere out in the patio. The service was friendly and efficient. This is a great addition to downtown!

Union Jack is a great addition to our neighborhood. Great food, great ambience, and a fantastic outdoor setup! It made things so easy with two kids under three. The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic, and we had such a lovely time. Highly recommend! Pleasanton needed a place just like Union Jack! Thank you for bringing a place like this to downtown.

This was 8:33pm. He took the order. He rang it up. The drink existed on our bill but apparently not in this dimension. When we pointed this out, he held the line like an HOA president at an emergency meeting about fence height. This did not have stakes. I have never watched someone be so confidently wrong about something so profoundly stupid. A true masterclass in choosing your hill, dying on it, and somehow being proud of the whole thing.

The place was super lively and honestly pretty packed during my visit on a week night. The lounge itself is on the smaller side, but cozy. I like the concept, there are wire racks on the wall and each table has a little wooden game board on top (mine was Chinese checkers), such a cute touch and makes the place feel a bit more interactive. Their signature cocktail menu has a lot of options, but since it was our first time, we asked the bartender for a recommendation. He suggested "Meet Me In Pearis" since we wanted something vodka-based. The drink took about 10-15 minutes to come out, which felt a bit long, but it looked like he was the only one working, serving two big parties plus a few tables, so I get it. Service overall was still good and he was nice the whole time. For the drink... honestly, it didn't really wow me. Both the flavor and presentation were pretty underwhelming. It kind of tasted like a glass of sangria to me. I guess with "Artisanal" in the name, I was expecting something a little more unique or elevated. Overall, great location, nice vibes, and I like the interior concept. Service was solid too. Just wish the drink matched the same level. Probably wouldn't come back, but glad I got to check it off my list.

And it was so good- lots of crispy bacon and fresh tomato and lettuce. The bun was fresh and soft but held up well (read not soggy) against the tomato and mayo. My husband opted for the soft pretzel, was was piping hot upon arrival and came with two sauces- a mustard sauce and a cheese sauce. We finished it all. The sandwich was so large, I took half back to our room to eat for later. Crush Lounge also has a small bowling alley with several lanes. We didn't get to try it as it was reserved for an event, but this is such a cool feature of the property. This is a solid spot for a quick bite to eat or for drinks when staying at the Meritage.

There's music playing, but it's at a perfect level where you can still easily hold a conversation. The bar area also has multiple TVs if you're looking to catch a game. The space offers more than just drinks, with a small bowling alley (six lanes) and a pool table, making it a great spot to hang out. Bathrooms are located just outside the lounge, down the hall near the elevators. Service has consistently been solid during my visits. Staffing has never been an issue, and it's always been easy to get help at the bar. The drinks are well-made and flavorful, though on the pricier side. The only food I've tried so far is the carnitas nachos, and they're definitely worth ordering. Overall, it's a fun spot for both adults and kids, and it's usually our first stop after checking in.
