We stopped by recently to check out the pop up Austin Powers bar before they shut it down in August. I saw it advertised on a reel on IG. Basically the Bar was converted into a Shagadelic experience featuring Food and bevies gearing homage to the International Man of Mystery. Definitely picked the hottest day in the East Bay too arrive before they opened. The Bar opened at 4pm, but we go here a tad bit early so he hung outside until they opened. The patio had a few tables we could sit under the shade, Once we were able to go inside the Bar, Israel greeted us and took our drink order right away. Wifey had the Spicey Rita and I got the S'more Danger bevies which had Brandy, and Cream with a Graham cracker rim and a toasted Marshmallow. We were amazed how much work they put in the decor by the way the Br was decorated. The food was not ready to order right out the gate, but we were busy looking around at all the decor around the sitting area. We were able to order food once the cook arrived and we had added a One Billion Dollar Burger, Fembot Deviled Eggs; and ordered some Brushette. All the food was good and the drinks were great. What was an added bonus is that they had a Pet Adoption demo with dogs going on outside, and we met a few pooches from the event inside the Bar. Definitely glad we got to experience this unique pop up and 2 Thumbs up to the "most Groovy" Bar; Yeah Baby!!

Being threatened to be "86'd" (just say banned/we don't want your money anymore lol, what a nerd terminology) unless I take down my review is crazy. Well guess it's not a threat when you actually get denied service Sad to see. Best of luck. Pleasanton deserves better Didn't realize it was that serious. Was just hoping for some decent service and to get over it like men :/. Guess that was too much to ask 35$ videos though

The Cellar Door located in downtown Pleasanton has joined the many bars that go all out with holiday themed cocktails and decor for the season. "The Christmas Story" themed bar was decked out with holiday cocktails named after the movie, an array of movie and Christmas decor, movie memorabilia displayed, and a Christmas Story playing on one of the tv screens. We arrived shortly after opening and it wasn't crowded, as the evening progressed more patrons arrived. We had to leave early due to a party starting at 6. We had enough time to enjoy our drinks and food. I would have liked to have stayed longer to enjoy the ambiance. Our server was kind and friendly, the drinks were delicious as well as the food. We had the deviled eggs, artichoke dip with cheesy crackers, chicken street tacos, and cheesecake. Everything was tasty and arrived hot and in a timely manner.

So good, I came twice in the same week! Came with the girls and then brought the husband for some pre-thanksgiving goodies. Shout out to Scott, the friendliest of bar tenders, who took care of me both visits. Epic decorations! They went all out for their holiday theme, based on "A Christmas Story." Vibe is cottage-core meets kitsch (in the best way). We ordered off their holiday menu and had a "It must be Italian" (riff off an aperol spritz) and Bo Ling Toddy (riff off a hot toddy). Both were cute and Stroooooong! The toddy came in a gingerbread man mug, and the spritz was served in a large wine glass. Two cocktails for around $30, and totally worth it. Cheers to a fun, watering hole downtown!

Here is what the QR code takes you to and the hours listed on the homepage.

The Christmas Story vibe was great. We sat down, scanned the QR code to see the menu, ordered drinks and then said we are ready to order and were told 'we don't do food on Sunday'. Really? Would have been nice if we were told when we sat down or even when we ordered drinks. It says on our website we were told. No it doesn't! The QR reader will take you to food and the home page shows your hours by day and makes no mention of it. The server was very nice and found some nuts and chips for us to have with our drinks but honestly we would not have spent $70 on 4 drinks if we had known there was no food available.

The Austin Powers theme is only for a couple more days, if you haven't seen it yet it is lots of fun! Came here for a drink before dinner, and the decor inside is so cozy. A great place to grab a drink and hangout. Service was great, attentive bartender and just an overall chill crowd here. Definitely will be back to try some food and more drinks!

Came here this past Tuesday with a party of 3, we were trying to distract ourselves from election night haha. Our order: We each got 2 drinks, I had a kokomo cab and another red wine that I can't recall anymore, but both were delicious. The three of us also split a mushroom pesto flatbread, as well as the cheese and artichoke dip with bread, and followed up with one more order of deviled eggs after since we got snacky after drinking. Total was about $55 per person ish before tax and tips. Pros: - It's mostly a wine bar vibes, but the food was surprisingly good! Definitely not portions that would fill you up for dinner, but perfect for if you had a late lunch and you're here for dinner-time drinks. - Not super crowded on a Tuesday, which we like. There's a variety of seating options, including at the bar, a larger table that can fit up to maybe 6 people, and seating for pairs around the perimeter. It's not a super large wine bar which I appreciated, perfect for weeknight vibes. - Wide selection of wines! Easy QR code menu that we could order from with descriptions of all the food. - Really efficient and polite service, we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. We also gabbed for like 2-3 hours and didn't feel pressured to leave since it wasn't super crowded. - Pretty clean bathroom - Very cozy vibes, dark lighting, very romantic, perfect for a date or a fun girls night. A great addition to the downtown Pleasanton area. Cons: - Parking can be tricky if it's a really crowded night, but we got really lucky and got princess parking right across the street. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back here in the future!

We did a full inside restaurant buyout and had the option to select several appetizers, two salads and four entrees from the menu. The restaurant is very pretty (and photogenic) and there was plenty of space for our guests to mingle before the food service began. The food was outstanding as were the desserts. We couldn't have been more pleased with how our party turned out. I highly recommend Elia if you are looking for an excellent meal or party venue.

We didn't get a dessert menu, so that was sad, but we were full anyways. I didn't notice once I drove home an hour and a half away that the Valet let a key in my car to the lockbox. They did ask me to drive it back. However, I live an hour and a half away so that's not happening. So next month when I'm in Sacramento I'll drop it off.

The inside is dimly lit and decorated elegantly. I liked the inclusion of honeycombs in the lighting fixtures and even the ice in my drink. The darks and golds almost give Great Gatsby vibes. We all ordered a different cocktail from their signature menu. I got the Electric Nectar. The drink was a little tart and sour. The Buzzed & Bougie was very floral, and The Cusco Comb had a nice balance of flavors. Out of the 3, the Electric Nectar was probably the strongest in terms of tasting the alcohol. I don't particularly prefer sour drinks. If I were to re-order, I would get the Cusco Comb, as it fits my taste profile the most. We also ordered the Burrata to share. It came with 6 pieces of toast, which was perfect and divided evenly among the 3 of us. The burrata was delicious. The cherry gastrique added a nice touch of sweetness without being overly sweet. As time progressed, more and more people came in. By the time we left, the lounge was pretty filled.

The grilled ahi tuna was definitely the highlight of the meal, and my daughter really enjoyed it. The only thing that surprised us was the portion sizes, which felt a little on the smaller side.
