VERY poor customer service in the Service Dept. I watched the service manager AND several assistant service managers come to the waiting are to update their customers and I never even so much as got a "Welcome to Union Park Volvo." This is my second time here in two weeks for service, coming in from Baltimore because I save money with no tax and repair costs. For the second time in a row I have felt as if I have been treated basic and just a number. I have a well kept older used car that has been paid off for several years and I only get it serviced at Volvo to ensure proper service, I have even entertained purchasing or leasing a vehicle here but the lack of personality and friendliness does not even make me feel like I want to spend my money here. If I had to base the whole of the organization on the treatment I have been getting then I do not have much confidence in Union Park at all. It is terrible that they are the only Volvo dealership in DE because maybe some competition would help inspire them to respect customers more. As the ONLY customer who is person of color here, I cannot help but blatantly see the difference in service. read more

The staff here is beyond amazing. I loved that I didn't have to sit there for hours haggling for the best price. Everything went very smoothly and it was nice to see everyone there working as a team. This was a very pleasant experience and I got to walk out with a pretty new car. read more

My husband and I stopped by the Volvo dealer on Saturday morning in Wilmington, DE around 10:30 AM. We walked all over the parking lot outside and looked at several Volvo XC60's and a few XC40s. We then went inside looked at the Volvo in the showroom and even sat in the car. There were 3 Sales rep in a corner talking. No one ever came and asked if we needed help so we left. We walked right over to the Cadillac dealer and I now own a new XT5. Your Volvo sales reps should pay better attention to potential customers. read more

Service is horrible. When I purchased my car everything was fine, but service is the worst I've had with Volvo, and I've been to 4 dealerships. Service department is combined with their family of dealership so you get the same treatment if you buy a Volvo that you get with a Honda. While most Volvo dealership give loaners when they service your car, here you get to a ride in a Honda minivan shuttle. This to me is the biggest insult, if other dealerships can do loaners why can't they? Further, each time I've taken the shuttle I've had to wait around over 20 mins for it to pick me up making me late and shuttle drivers expect a tip. You sell a luxury brand treat your customers like that. Update: Following my last visit I got a flat time and discovered that they had failed to return my lug nut wheel lock after the last service therefore making it impossible to change my tire. They are beyond careless and one must wonder if they are equally as careless when repairing cars. read more

Scheduled my 60k service appointment 10 DAYS ago, also needed some warranty work completed. Took a personal day from work and dropped my car off at 8:30AM...service writer told me he was not sure they could complete the work in one day and that someone would definitely call me with an update. At 4:45 PM I hadn't heard anything from anyone...called to find out status. Gentleman who answered said he would check on status...came back on line and said it wouldn't be finished today, I asked when he thought the car would be ready and he admitted they hadn't even looked at it...not even a phone call to let me know...next day, 1:15PM...still no phone call from service...I called and got three voicemails of three different service managers...called the main desk explained my situation and detailed my frustration, asked to speak to the GM...transferred to Volvo service and surprise someone picked right up...no update on car..offered a loaner...three days later got my car back. I have no problem with the mechanical service and I understand that delays might happen because of warranty work and parts delivery but the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. read more

I will admit I love the car but had i known there was no service on Saturday's I would not of bought this volvo. It my fault because I assumed they would have Saturday hours. It's the first dealership where I can't get my car service on a Saturday. For me that's a major inconvenience as I now work in Dover. As it stands now, I will have to drive all the way to Wilmington ( I live in Bear) and get a loaner (have to practically schedule months in advance to get a loaner0 and drive all the way to Dover. Do you yourself a favor and don't get a volvo if you don't live or work in downtown wilmington. You will be SOL when you need to get it service if you have to work during the week. They have a very narrow window for servicing your car. The car itself is great, it's just that it's the only volvo service in delaware and they do not work weekends, they have very few waiting appointment slots and they only have 3 loaner cars I think. I gave this one star simply because of their limitations on getting my car serviced. I don't live or work in Wilmington so I have very limited options. Either take the day off or take a half day. I have never had such a major inconvenience just to get service for my car. read more

Henry Sibernagel was very accommodating, he listen to our concerns and matched us in the perfect vehicle, never did we feel pressured or pushed into something that didn't fit our needs and budget. Phenomenal job!!! I'd also like to recognize Micah Molin their sales manager. He was able to get us reasonable financing even though our credit was far from perfect. He also set up for us to take delivery of the vehicle one day early on a day Henry was off. We purchased a preowned vehicle and he bent over backwards to make sure the car was in pristine condition upon delivery. I've found a new home for all of my future Volvo purchases. Buying a new luxury car was very intimidating to me until I had the privilege of working with Andrew Rogin at Union Park Volvo. There was no pressure, no gimmicks, just honest Andrew going above and beyond what any salesperson has ever done for me in terms of making this very large purchase a smooth transaction. He was very patient with my indecisiveness (the XC60 or 90?) and after having previous conversations with a few Volvo "salespeople" via the internet, not only was I happy with my experience with Andrew, he taught me SO much that I actually had a great time researching SUVs! Side note: I drove the extra miles to work with Union Park and I'd do it again Even with all of my pre-dealership research--I wanted to be prepared- Andrew was able to answer all of our questions above and beyond any auto salesperson I've ever encountered. He never tired of explaining the small things in addition to the large things--on the test drive he walked us through every option, feature, and spec imaginable. Union Park is a lovely dealership and as long as Andrew is there in three years we will look no further when buying our next vehicle. He knows the ins and outs top to bottom: We clearly didn't realize we could have a blast during the car buying process. BUYERS BEWARE! Attempted to be a first time Volvo buyer, I figured what better place to go than the actual dealer, I was wrong. We negotiated a deal, with them telling me all along that Union Park wanted my business. That turned out to be a lie; after the deal was done and the purchase order was signed we left to pick up the car on Monday so they could get it detailed. Well the same night at 5:30 PM (they close at 5 on Saturdays), they called my wife which had nothing to do with the purchase of the vehicle and tell her they sold the vehicle after we had a contract on it. Attempted phone calls back went unanswered do to the fact that they were technically closed. The only reason they get 1 star is because 0 isn't available. read more

This review is for Volvo service. I called roughly a week in advance to make an appointment, explained the situation and need to get vehicle ianand out sameday. Volvo accepted the job. I arrived promptly at open on day of appointment and used shuttle service. I had to wait, but not excessively. Later in the day shortly after lunch I hadn't heard anything, so I called to get a status. Matthew, who I believe is the service manager indicated that he would call me back later with details. Shortly after 4 pm I received the call, and was surprised to hear that they hadn't yet been able to diagnose the problem. That was when my experience went sideways. I asked for clarification on how that was possible since I was the very first customer of the day. After some haggling, Matt conceded that my vehicle had been deprioritized and not started until after lunch. He said he would have the technician close it up then for another time. Roughly 30 minutes later I got to the shop and after being asked to wait for about 10 minutes was presented with a hefty estimate. I was surprised since barely 30 minutes prior I was told they hadn't solved it. When I started to ask probing questions about the due diligence taken to diagnose I was greeted with a lot of defensiveness and dismissiveness by Matt. I left frustrated only to find driving home that my car was filled with gas fumes. I called over, nobody was still there to assist me and the person who answered said it should resolve itself. I drove home 40 minutes with windows down in 31 degree weather, went out and washed car thoroughly in inside and out, the smell persisted. The next morning I called the facility and again spoke with Matt. He was again dismissive, insisted his technicians would have not done anything wrong, and said they would only look at it if I paid for more work. I escalated to Jerry, who I believe is the overall service manager. He was also dismissive, claimed there was no way his people messed up and that car was in exact condition it arrived in. I just happened to be at another mechanic having it reviewed who clearly found that the technician didn't properly clean and place the fuel seal. Vovlo service is not showing willingness to cover those costs accepting responsibility for their actions. I am escalating further to Volvo corporate etc. read more

This was my first new car lease and I was very hesitant about making the decision between leasing and buying. I admitted that to what turned out to be the best salesman I have ever dealt with: Andrew Rogan. He walked me through both options to determine which was best for me, not the dealership. Andrew is very informative and has endless patience. From the start of our search until I write this review he made me feel very comfortable, and everyone knows car buying is stressful. I was surprised at how genuine he was: It didn't feel like he was pressuring us or acting with us. He was very friendly, respectful, and overall an amazing salesman. Andrew really believes in honesty. When we selected the car that was perfect for me, he was a walking encyclopedia of information and taught me all of the ins and outs of the vehicle. He didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need. He even went so far as saying if I had any questions or any problems that he would take care of them personally: to just call or drop by the dealership. I cannot praise enough the excellent service we received. We will never buy another car from anyone else. Great transaction and I LOVE my gorgeous new car!! I am recommending him to all my friends and colleagues. Andrew was very helpful in terms of any questions I had and knowing what would interest me.
