Like when i need to get a food order in at Pathmark which it shares real estate with. They are more expensive than competitors. No one there ever helps you. They are all usually in the back room or don't take the time from stocking to ring out customers When they do help you they are curt. And never a thank you for your business. Just change handed to you without even a glance your way. Worst offense: They NEVER ask a woman if she needs help carrying cases to the car. And if you ask you get a 'tude. Last visit i had 5 cases and no help. Today i purchased a light case until i can get to the better beverage center in Woodlyn that appreciates my business

Heck, even Virginia is generations ahead of the arcane liquor laws in Penn's Commonwealth... Let's see.... You can't buy wine or beer in grocery stores (that would be too convenient, wouldn't it). If you want to buy beer by the case, you have to go to a certain type of store. If you want to buy beer by the six-pack, you have to go to another type of store. If you want to buy wine, you have to go to yet another store. Gross. The entire liquor laws in the Commonwealth would have made the ancient Romans flinch with horror.... Still, once you get used to living with the irritation (which means driving to Delaware as much as possible), there are state outlets where even upscale wines are sold. One of them is the Super Warehouse in Brookhaven. They even have specials on many different types of wines, and they even had shipments of Beaujolais Nuveau, which I found almost unbelievable. The store is well laid-out, with separate sections for different varieties and countries of origin, and they host special prices on many different types of wines, in this case an outstanding Chilean selection. If you have to live in the Middle Ages, this makes it bearable....

Jeff is the (one of the) owner, bartender, cook and not rude (in contrast to comments on google maps). As you can see in pics, the CS is small. But so is the price and it does taste good. The roll was big and bread which is what you want after a long day of drinking. Very good overall experience!!

As the Christmas holiday approached, they had mini pine trees on every table. Nobody watered them and the pine trees died. They stayed on the tables. Little dead sticks in Christmas wrapping paper. It was amazing. You can see it from the interstate, but it's tough to get through the warren of Chester streets to get to it. Your best bet is to just walk down 17th street towards Philadelphia. When you think there's no way that a BAR could possibly be back HERE, you're almost there. The road ends in Maggie May's, basically. Cheap drinks, cozy space, friendly bartender. Show up 3 times and be polite and you'll be a regular whose drink orders are remembered. I love this place.

If I'm being honest, I don't know what else would draw you here; but if you're looking for a low-key, fun spot to watch a game on TV, I could see coming here for that. Beer is tasty, a mix of their own brews and locally sourced drafts. They have a handful of cocktails and soft drinks if beer is not your thing. I've always found the beer here to be above average. If you're not coming to see a game a Subaru Park, just make sure there's no events happening when you visit because there is usually a cost to park during the soccer season. This is a popular game day spot, and Larimer always stays organized, providing great service each time. Mix of indoor and outdoor seating is available, and in favorable weather, they open their large garage doors. They do not sell food! Check their socials to see if a food truck or vendor is on site if you're hoping to eat. They partner with Spite Curiosities often, which is a very tasty local vendor with delicious sandwiches and tomato pies - you MUST try their cookies! We went in winter but I'm sure it's packed in summer. The Crab Cake Sandwich is a must. It's actually full of lump crab meat instead of just being a bunch of breading and filler. We also got the Loaded Cheese Fries and they were total comfort food. The portions are huge, Great service and we even forgot our cell phone and they kept it for us to pick up. Wonderful group of people.

Since there were no available tables outside, we were placed inside in a corner table with no air circulation. The humidity felt unbearable and really played a major impact on my experience. I'm sure if I came during a mid spring day I would've had a better experience. Food: the food is the only reason I would come here again. I got a crab cake that was very robust with a fair amount of filler but had a good amount of real crabmeat. My son got the quesadilla, and it wasn't anything special. The salmon was small and flavorful. Service: also was not anything special or bad. Our waitress came by twice during our stay. It was a busy afternoon and she was working. It would've been good if they had more staff so that someone could refill our water more frequently. Like I said, the humidity had taken away from our experience. Overall, I wouldn't come here throughout the hot, humid summer months, but I may give it a second try in the winter or spring... maybe.
