This was my first time visiting Uniqlo, and I was really impressed with how clean, organized, and well-stocked the store was. Everything was easy to find, and the clothes were neatly folded with plenty of sizes available. A few things took away from what could have been a 5-star experience. It was difficult to find anyone available or willing to help, and the fitting room staff didn't seem very welcoming. My kids are still young, and I wasn't allowed to go with them while they were trying on clothes. As the parent paying for the clothes, I'd like to see how the clothes fit before deciding what to buy. Instead, I was left standing outside, not knowing which fitting room my kids were in, which made me uncomfortable. I understand stores have their policies, but I wish the situation had been handled in a friendlier way. Checking out was also a bit confusing. I had around 15 items, and the cashier kept rescanning some of them, which made the process feel longer than it needed to be. I also asked for two bags since I purchased quite a bit, but I was only given one. Overall, I really liked the store and would definitely shop here again. This is my 2nd time walking into Uniqlo and my first time purchasing clothing. I took Gavin here last week to purchase clothes for his upcoming school year. During middle school, he had to adhere to a uniform policy but in high school it's free dress, so not only do I need to buy him clothes, I need to ensure his clothing is free of anything inappropriate. I walked around when he was in the fitting rooms and bought wide leg sweatpants and a sweater. + the store is bright and organized + sign up to be a member to receive sales and deals + checking out is very easy + staff in the fitting room area were nice + fitting room (at least the one I was in) was clean Might try to head back next weekend. read more

If it were possible to leave a zero-star review, I absolutely would. Employees working in the fitting room were extremely disrespectful and made everything uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Their behavior toward a person with disabilities came across as discriminatory, and there were also actions and comments that felt racist and inappropriate. No customer should ever feel judged, excluded, or mistreated while simply shopping. I hope management takes this seriously, addresses the staff involved, and provides proper training on inclusivity, professionalism, and respect for all customers. read more

While at Valley Fair mall, my friend and I stoped by Uniqlo to do a little shopping. The store is huge. There are so many different types of apparel that it's overwhelming. They have a department that also does personalizations like embroidery or you can upload an image of your own and have that image printed on a t-shirt or canvas bag. We both decided to get a bag and have each of our cat's image printed on a canvas bag. The young man helping us, Tyler, was so sweet and helpful. He walked both of us through the process. We paid for our items and were told it would take an hour before we could pick it up. That worked out perfect because we were going to have lunch at the mall anyway. After lunch we picked up our bags. I can't tell how impressed I was with the quality of the picture printed on my bag. I absolutely love it. The whole thing cost $32.70 including tax. Not a bad price for a tote bag with a picture of my cat on it. This is a great place to get a personalized gift for a loved one. Such a unique store. read more

Love the newly expanded space for Valleyfair Uniqlo. It's so much bigger and I noticed the quality of service has increased so significantly. Definitely more organized and more employees hired to assist customers. I'm also super happy to see they also do customizable tote bag and embroidery. We ended up doing a photo of our cat on the large tote bag. It's pretty good quality and it's not like those T-shirt with ironed on photos/words. The photo is inked into the canvas bag and won't peel off easily. Only downside is that due to the popularities of store as compared to other locations, some items might be out of stock for the correct sizing. Might be harder to try your size in store for the low stock clothings. read more

I like their upgrade with a customized station like the one from Hawaii. It was overwhelming to find a specific clothing you want. Too much cardigans, tees, and pants everywhere. I guess they do it on purpose so customers can spend more time wandering around the store until they purchase something. Where are the registers?? We were unprepared for the norcal weather and desperately needed some layers to survive the weekend. This was our first ever experience in a Uniqlo and honestly it was overwhelming. The layout reminded me of European stores, warehouse, and maze bundled in one. I felt like we were walking through a corn maze trying to find the women's' section. Price is on the high-end imo. The cheapest sweater "on sale" was average $60-$80. After running in circles exploring we finally were ready to make our purchase, but here lies another problem. Where are the registers? and who works here? I could not tell customers apart from staff and was utterly lost. Note: the register is in the back right corner near the men's section. Recently I had the pleasure of making two items at the UTme customization area. The selection of embroidery options are absolutely adorable and I had a hard time choosing which ones to get. I decided on a crossbody bag with a dog that looks like my fur baby and they were able to add a cherry blossom accent. The second item was a T-shirt with some photos of the grandkids for my mom as a Mother's Day present. The clarity and detail of the photos was lightyears better than others I have ordered through online photo services, and the workers did a stellar job making sure that it turned out just the way we wanted. Very impressed by the rapid self-checkout as long checkout lines are an annoying part of retail. This is probably the worst layout of a store I have ever stepped foot in. The store is built like a maze and you're forced to look through each isle to find what you're looking for. I can't imagine anyone having ease in finding things, let alone having to squeeze through so many people passing by. Despite being claustrophobic, the sales associates were kind and helpful in showing me where I could locate certain pieces. I hope some day they'll consider a layout change for accessibility and clearness. read more

I find it interesting that many of the bad reviews for this store are from people who didn't get what they want even if Uniqlo's return policy is very clear. Some complaints definitely valid but if a manager was to break store policy for every single person who was upset I'm sure it would affect the store's profit margin and no manager can be responsible for that if they want to keep their jobs??? Anyways I've never had a return or customer service issue at this location. They simply get really busy and retail isn't easy. Anyways for the brand itself I quite like Uniqlo. Shopping with my elderly mom today. I asked if I can share a fitting room with my mom as she needs my assistance. I was told no. When I entered the the area I saw a family room and wonder why we can't use it. When we were done a staff (different from the one who would not let me share a fitting room with my mom) waited outside my mom's dressing room for her to come out. I was told I cannot stand there and have to exit. I told her my elderly mom might need my assistance and she's almost done. This staff told me next time I should use the family fitting room. (Really!?!?) I told her I asked to be in a fitting room with my elderly mom as she needs my assistance upon arrival but the other staff told me we can't be in a fitting room together. This staff then said only one prison is allowed in the fitting room. DIDNT SHE JUST TELL ME I SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FAMILY ROOM? I am utterly confused by what the staff says or what the fitting room policy is! Seniors need assistance from family members. Family room should allow FAMILY (more than one person). I've given this store the benefit of the doubt several times. While the selection and vibe are excellent, their customer service, communication, and transparent regarding policy needs a lot of work. Customer service and communication. The employees here are not friendly and seem to be in quiet quitting mode. I was not aware of the policy of physical receipts when returning iteand was given a hard time by Ms. Young, who aggressively communicated this policy while unwillingly allowing me to do a return with a purchase record and the original credit card. All employees should undergo training about good communication and how to treat guests fairly. There is no reason employees should be talked down to, and everyone (both employees and customers) can be diplomatic no matter how difficult a situation might be. Transparency on returns. When I did an online return at the front desk I was told to speak with a customer service rep at the front of the store. When returning today I was told to go to the front desk. This store has employees that obviously delegate a responsibility they find unpleasant, which is unprofessional. In short, you can go here when in a pinch. But there are more professional, polite Uniqlo stores out there that embody the spirit of the company. Avoid if possible! read more

Just wanted to point out how great the customer service was during my return process today. My 7 old sister needed a nude top and bottoms to wear under her performance outfit. Given that it is needed for an ice skating, I bought several xs nude thermo tops and bottoms not really knowing if the colors would work. The xs leggings were waaay big for her so she didn't try them on. The xs shirt was a little big on her but we managed to alter it for her and i returned the rest back. I like the pima cotton t shirts from here - they used to be 9.99 then 14.99 and now they are up to 20 each. With inflation prices aren't what they once were. I feel like I'm so old grey haired guy when I talk about the price of things. You know, like when an 80 year old starts talking about the price of gas was .20/gallon when I was a kid.... I feel like these shirts were the best kept secret around back when they were half price. These days I've been poking around where I can to see if I can find something similar - Express didn't have much - and a lot of other places are sold out of the best colors or my size. That is what I can always count on this store to do. Have good stock of everything. And they are very helpful. They run around looking for things and the people working there look all business. One guy has a clip board and a walkee talkee - another worker has a clothes hanger hanging from a pocket and is checking inventory. Yet another is trying to find a tie for another customer. I really like the self checkout process at Uniqlo where you just toss your purchase in the bin and it automatically calculates the total. It makes checking out process much faster and easier than most retail places. Which is also why the line goes fast at checkout here even though most of the time it's so crowded inside. The line for the fitting rooms is a different story though lol. Lines are pretty much always very long and slow moving for the fitting rooms. I like Uniqlo's simple uni color designs. The staff wouldn't let my wife into the fitting room area. I wanted to get her opinion on how the shirt that I'm trying on fits. They said that they will only allow one of us because they don't let people "block the hallway". Never heard of such policies before and I find it quite absurd. IMHO - Covid Edition I came to do an exchange of an Airism short sleeve top that I had purchased in Valley Fair the day before. At the entrance to the stores, there is a small kiosk with sanitizer for anyone who enters. I asked for and received directions to the area I was interested in. I don't like to waste time looking for my items. :) My return/exchange couldn't have been easier. I just wanted to exchange for a bigger size and showed my email receipt on my phone. Oh yes my local Uniqlo. A classmate of mine used to work here and I no longer see her here. This is the nearest Uniqlo store to where I live and it's good because I don't have to waste time going all the way to SF as I did in 2013. Unlike other Uniqlos, this one is very cramped. A lot of times I have to squeeze between some of the tight aisles to get what I need. This store can be really crowded. During the start of the pandemic the lines were terrible. Fast forward to now, the prices are very tough. If you are broke then you will be upset because even the littlest of things is overpriced. If you don't have the budget for things here then go somewhere else. If you do the items here last a very long time. I am still wearing some of the items I bought here before the pandemic. The overall quality of Uniqlo garments have gone majorly down hill. I own a pair of black skinny jeans from them that I bought about 4 years ago, they are still in decent shape but starting to fade their deep black color. The stretch is still good and not much appearance of wear and tear. But because they are starting to fade I decided to buy two new pairs. After just about a month of owning them and only wearing them approximately 3 times, washing them twice, the material in the upper inner thigh looks like I've been wearing them for 10 years. I also purchased 2 pairs of slim fit stretch chinos. I can feel the cheapness in the material compared to the two pairs I was replacing from them. There is a clear different in the density of the material and it does not retain its "slim fit". After wearing for just 30 minutes they go from fitted to loose. The jeans because of the wear and tear I tried to return, as it is unacceptable. I was told I can not return them, I do not recall the reason, maybe because they were washed, maybe because of the length of time I had them already. Even after showing the extreme amount of pilling of the fabric in the upper thigh area, I was told no. I am not one to take no for an answer when I know it is not my fault. So they told me I have to talk with the manager the next day. I went back and she gave me a whole "song and dance" about not being able to return but eventually did. Save you money don't shop there. I bought six T-shirts from Uniqlo and when I got them home, I saw what looked like dust along the folds of two of the shirts. I removed the tags and washed the shirts separately in cold water. I did not dry them, but hung them to dry. After they were dried, I saw the the "dust" along the folds were actually discolorations. You can see in the photo that the discoloration is in exactly the same location on both shirts. Simply: manufacturer defect. I brought the shirts back to Uniqlo to exchange them. I was denied exchange. Even though it is obvious that this is a manufacturer error, Uniqlo manager "John V" told me his policy is that nothing can be done after washing. "Um, you're kidding me, right? You can clearly see that this is a manufacturer error," I say. He replies by suggesting that I did this with my choice of laundry detergent. So, for less than 20 bucks, John V and Uniqlo are willing to say goodbye to a loyal customer - me. read more

Uniqlo has made their return policy as scammy as possible and I wonder if there's a class action waiting for them soon. Knowing the online orders have a return shipping fee, I paid full price in store for something that was discounted online just so that I had the convenience of returning it back, at the store I purchased it. I paid the full price, I scanned my membership code and expected to receive an online receipt, something that the store employee, Ethan B. attested multiple times. I go back to return one of the items I purchased, and this is how it went. First, they wanted me to have a receipt. I didn't have a physical one, and weirdly an online one was not sent. Now you may say, maybe I didn't scan my membership id, but I have the record of purchasing the product in my purchase history, something multiple employees took keen interest in verifying as if I was trying to scam them. The person at the register said its company policy we cannot return the money back to your card, we can give you a store credit. Not really my fault that an online receipt wasn't sent to me but Reluctantly I agree, only for them to refund me the incorrect amount. So I go back, ask them to fix the mistake all this while not blaming anyone in the store because such things happen, software can have bugs. Ethan B. had a completely different way to deal with this though. Instead of acknowledging the mess up on their end let alone apologizing, he made it look like it was my fault for not carrying a physical receipt in 2024, which I should not have had to as I was supposed to get it in mail in the first place. When I am trying to share my frustration with him, he is dismissing it, interrupting me saying that I will give you your ten bucks, as if he is doing me a favor, giving me the money from his own pocket. I thought it would be an isolated incident but looking at the number of similar reviews, it looks like making it extremely difficult to return items is the company policy, treating customers like shit is the store policy. Would like to highlight Ms. Young being extremely helpful towards resolving the matter. We need more people like her. Promote her, make her run the store. Paying customers' deserve better. read more

Like every Uniqlo, the customer service here is fantastic. I like that they are taking covid seriously here and I don't have any problems. I move a lot at work and the clothes I find here look semi-professional but feels like I can run a marathon in them as well. They probably stopped this because of covid, but I wish the employees wore that really brightly colored checkered UNIQLO gown. I came here last week and it was difficult to flag down someone who worked there since only wear badges now. read more
