While repainting my Tesla, Unique Auto Body - South Jordan caused $2,000-3,000 dollars of damage to the interior ambient lighting (see images). Unique refused to pay for it, blaming it on low quality parts from Tesla. However, the entire stretch of ambient lighting suddenly cracking severely while Unique was in possession of the car cannot be reasonably blamed on a manufacturer defect, as Tesla Service confirmed as well. It likely occurred either while "double baking" the paint (curing process using heat) or while removing and re-applying the door panels. Beware potential customers! If Unique damages anything of significant value in the process of repairing your car, they may not be willing to fix it! read more

Brought in a 10 year old van to have the roof sealed up before starting a conversion, as it was leaking in multiple spots. Was given a a price quote that was a bit shocking, but I needed it done so I put the van in the shop with them. It took a little over a week for them to finish, and I was really pleased that they were quite honest and only charged me about a third of the original quote because it required less time than they thought it might need. First rain day since getting it back today and the roof is sealed up tight, no leaks! I'm very happy with their work. read more

I would not recommend Unique Auto Body to anyone. They had my vehicle for over five weeks, and when I finally got it back, it was returned with a missing hubcap, low tire pressure, and major repairs that were missed. I was told everything had been fixed and that the car was good to go, but that was far from the truth. Shortly after, my car started making concerning noises. They dismissed it, saying it was nothing--but after taking it to Toyota for a second opinion, I found out the issue was the differential, another major repair. I was also told my upper oil pan was cracked and leaking oil, a repair that alone costs around $3,000. Thomas was not pleasant to work with--he was dismissive and unhelpful. And their manager, Justin, didn't seem to care at all or take accountability for the poor service. The lack of communication, poor workmanship, and inability to fix basic issues made this whole experience beyond frustrating. I had to take my car elsewhere just to get honest answers and proper repairs. Avoid this shop if you value your time, money, and safety. Unfortunately I have to give 1 star but I really mean 0 stars. HORRIBLE! Got in an accident and this was the place Progressive sent me to because the other driver was at fault. They had it for about 1 week and when I come to pick up my car, it now has 2 new DEEP scratches. The audacity Will ( I believe that was his name) had to give me my truck back without inspecting it to make sure it was fine, is beyond me. The scratches are so deep that whoever hit it must have known and IGNORED IT! Will then had the audacity to argue with me about how the paint job was done. When you look at it, it has a textured look and when you touch it, it's a hard grainy feel (feels like sandpaper). He even went on to explain that the "air bubbles" will go away with time. More happened and I'm so damn pissed I'm just done with this place. Their resolution was: we will fix the new dings/ scratches and we will get you a new rental. To be honest though, I don't want them touching my car again! I left my truck and asked them not to touch it because I will be taking it somewhere else. read more

I'm very happy with this business. Caleb was courteous and professional as I explained the work I was looking for. They were busy, but everyone was helped quickly. I have an autistic son, who on the rare meltdown hits my car. This time he kicked the driver quarter panel and the door wouldn't open. Any autism parent knows that self-injury is far worse than car damage. Caleb takes the car in the back, and a few minutes later, he brings me out, and it's done. I've needed pretty extensive body repair twice and both times I've had overall good experiences. The first time I had to go back to have them connect my stereo and the 2nd time the radiator was leaking fluid. However, apparently my insurance only authorized a used radiator, and no one would have known it leaked until it was driven around quite a bit. When I notified them they asked me to bring it right back and it was replaced the next business day with a new one. so I had my car repaired with them a little while back. It took about six months to get the parts that I understand but then after I got the car repaired, there were some clips missing that you could see out in the open and the radiator was hanging and they never replace the horn sound like a dying mule. So they did take care of the clip so you could see by the ones you couldn't see on the bottom and the missing bolts were still missing. Also, the foam impact absorber was now hanging over the intercooler. I didn't notice until I wash the car later, and then are on our way to Missouri, I realized you could only see about 10 feet in front of the car in the dark. They had forgotten to align the headlights. This was repair from hitting a deer. Still has missing clips and pieces but if I were you, I think twice about going to unique. unless you'd like your car to fall apart and extra pieces to fall out. read more

A few months ago I had the unfortunate opportunity of hitting a giant buck with a brand new vehicle. The vehicle had less than 1,000 Miles. The hood and right side needed a fair amount of work. Our truck's bumper recently was damaged since moving to Utah. Unique Auto Body was highly recommended by our neighbors. We decided to get a upgraded bumper and several other aftermarket "add-ons". We met Thomas, he was great. He went well beyond the normal customers service to help us find the perfect bumper and other parts. Being new to the state of Utah, we were a bit apprehensive, today we picked up the truck and we were extremely pleased. Do not go here. Brought my brand new 2017 WRX back in 2018 for body work. They drove it out to their other store. I'm pretty sure they put 150+ miles on my car. Who knows what else they did with it. didn't ask my permission to drive it to the other store either. my insurance company called and told me. A couple of months ago someone did a really good job at scratching the hood of my car. My insurance told me to go get a quote so we went there today and Thomas said give me a few minutes to see if we can buff it out. He came back about 15 minuets later and my hood looked amazing!!!!!! I bought my first ever brand new car this year and of course within two months I backed my baby into a lamp post doing some serious damage to the rear bumper. I took it in to Unique for an estimate, and decided to save a couple bucks before having it replaced. Upon learning that I wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger and get it fixed, Tremayne popped out the dent leaving me with just a couple fairly inconspicuous scratches FOR FREE. I drove it around for a bit, saved a couple bucks and returned to have it fixed right about a month later.
