Hamlet really came through when I needed him. I got into an accident with my Tesla Cybertruck during some really heavy rain. I first called Tesla roadside assistance and honestly they were completely unresponsive. I even tried calling my Tesla dealership and had no luck there either. At that point I started Googling auto body shops that work on electric vehicles and Teslas specifically, because I wanted to make sure whoever touched my Cybertruck knew what they were doing and could maintain the factory warranty. It was already after hours and most places weren't answering their phones, but when I called Unique Auto Collision the owner, Hamlet, actually picked up himself. That alone surprised me. Within minutes he arranged a tow truck and they came out right away. At first I was a little worried because the truck wasn't being towed on a traditional flatbed, but Hamlet explained and showed me the wheel dollies they use. The rear wheels stay lifted so none of the wheels touch the ground, which is actually one of the safest ways to tow an EV. Learned something new that day. From there Hamlet pretty much helped me through the entire process. He walked me through filing the insurance claim from start to finish. I have Tesla Insurance and they can honestly be a little difficult to deal with, so having someone experienced on my side made the whole situation way less stressful. This was my first accident and insurance companies definitely don't make things easy. One of the main reasons I trusted them with my Cybertruck (which cost over $100k) is that they know Teslas inside and out and have a direct parts channel with Tesla. They ordered all the parts directly from Tesla and even worked around my custom wrap. Most importantly, the repairs maintained my factory warranty and they also offer a lifetime warranty on their work. Another thing I appreciated is that I was dealing directly with the owner the entire time. That's rare these days -- usually you just talk to a receptionist or get bounced around between people.
