For our Mother's Day dinner, I ordered from Unique, 2nd time this week, we got food from here, and it did not disappoint. As a special Mother's Day treat, I received 2 paper cranes. The woman at the counter is so sweet and friendly. She even helped me maneuver my way out of the narrow driveway. Now for the food, I ordered a lot and it cost me less than $60. For appetizers, fried wontons, and sesame balls. Qt of wonton soup, Qt of SS chicken, Qt od shrimp fried rice, qt of beef lomein, and fried chicken wings with plain fried rice. The order was packed and ready by the time I arrived, I received a text that the food was ready for pick up 10 mins earlier than advised when I called in the order, a super plus! The food was still warm by the time I got it home, I got a free iced tea for spending over a certain amount, I believe. Everything was tasty. No complaints from the family. There was plenty of shrimp in the fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken container was so full that the container could not be closed. Lol! read more

The General Tso Chicken is pretty good but the fried rice is always undercooked. I will recommend that you order white rice only .

I don't understand some of the subpar reviews I just read. Unique Chinese is by far the BEST take out haven, and I've been around. The large and fresher portions, the right flavors/seasoning, and the great customer service and staff are unparalleled. My circle loves their food and always will. A solid Chinese takeout on Philly Pike. It's a takeout establishment (I'm always intrigued when I see people dining in at a Chinese takeout place when it's not an authentic Chinese restaurant but I digress) and their sesame chicken and General Tso's is fast and decent. This compares to most other average takeout places. Sometimes this place is inconsistent, really good takeout with perfectly cooked chicken and rice to not-so-great undercooked rice and mushiness. Visiting Claire's prom dress shop across the street, we sought a quick lunch and a place for the Dad of our traveling party to "hole-up" for awhile while the ladies did their dress shopping thing. This business might to a fine carry-out job; that's what they seem geared for. For sit-down, the dining room is an afterthought, the restroom was quite unsanitary (including the need for patrons to walk though the kitchen) and service was slow. The food was tasty enough in an unspectacular way and staff was very friendly and courteous. This stretch of Business US Route 13 seems devoid of competition, and this business might struggle would competitors exist. In the end, lunch was serviceable, but only that. The chicken was over cooked which I could over look. But the egg fu young had two long black hairs cooked in the eggs. Had to throw it out. That means the food is not always hot. It is still GOOD food - but I have to reheat it. It seems that now that the restaurant has gone to GrubHub, instead of delivering themselves, the cost of food has gone up. They took over China Wok a few years ago. This is primarily a take spot which has 3 tables with 4 chairs each for dine in. Mon-Sat lunch specials are available from 11am-3pm. They also offer delivery which I have not tried yet since I live nearby and can simply drive and pick up. I have only tried their Chinese dishes which have been well seasoned. I'm so fed up with this place. I work nearby and my department has ordered from them several times. Each time I order SPRING ROLLS. The man on the phone reads the order back and verifies SPRING ROLLS. The receipt says SPRING ROLLS. However, what I have received every freaking time are SHRIMP ROLLS. I am a vegetarian, so this basically means I paid for food that I now cannot eat and end up either giving them away or throwing them in the garbage. So thanks for that. A friend of mine ordered food the other day and got halfway through her meal before chomping down into a fragment of a PLATE that was mixed in with her food. Seriously? So done. This is one of worst places ever! The delivery driver parked at bottom of my driveway and held my food out his window, yelling 'you order Chinese food'. He Made me walk down my driveway to get my food. The driver didn't even get out of his car. Then when we called the restaurant to complain they hung up on us! Very pleasantly surprised at how good it was! I was having a Chinese food craving and they were the only place that was near by and open so I figured I'd give it a go. I ordered the seafood mi fun and my boo bear got something that sounded dragon-ish. We both enjoyed our noms. We will definitely be going back to try some more off of their huge menu. read more
