I called ahead but they said just come and walk in! So I walked in and was seen right away. I told her I wanted to get my eyebrows threaded and she immediately got to work. I didn't take a "before" photo so let me just describe to you: I had a national board exam so I hadn't touched my eyebrows in nearly two months so they were super bushy. The process was not painful at all, kinda relaxing actually. In maybe 5-10 minutes she was done and I think they turned out great! I usually like this place but this time I was very upset with my brows. I asked the lady to keep them thick but just clean them up a bit and I left with my brows extremely thin and uneven. Walked in while rushing around the day before another business trip. The wax person at Ulta had called out and I didn't feel like schlepping all the way to Sephora when I still needed to go to the mall. Not overly friendly but nice, efficient and frankly just good. I'm not a super model so I'm sure you can find fancier or maybe better. How we for a solid eyebrow and lip threading, I would recommend them. I have allegedly "higher end" places do a crappy job. Definitely won't be returning. I had asked her to follow the microblading as a guide. You can see she didn't do that (the photo attached was taken after I left). I left with my brows extremely messy, not trimmed (like most places do), and there's still a ton of hair. I ended up having to trim the hairs and tweeze the excess when I got home. First and last time I'm stepping a foot here. First off I went about 15 mins before close. It smelled like B.O as soon as I walked in. I ignored it and decided to just stay because I really needed my threading done. I was in the middle chair, I forgot the lady's name. But she did a HORRIBLE JOB. My upper lip still has hair after she took forever to do it. And since I needed my brows cleaned I told her to do so. As you can see in the picture. This is NOT cleaned. She barely did anything. Hidden jem on the hill. (Behind Starbucks in the Rite-Aid plaza) I tried a few threading places in Torrance and a few days later I get dry skin around my chin area. I thought it was something I had to deal with. Then Gita proved me wrong. She was the first person to thread and touch my face to make sure the hairs were gone! Update! Yes, this is still my go-to place for threading. I even tried to go to a place near my work in Torrance once on a desperate day and it was a failure of all kinds (from the girl eating at the front desk to my sad, uneven brows). So back to the tried-and-true Unique spot in PV. Service is always quick and I usually don't wait longer than 5 mins. If I see lots of people, I get a coffee or pick up items at Rite-Aid. No biggie. Today, Sugy's assistant did my brows and upper lip. I usually stick to the same person at nail salons, hair salons, etc. but I was just fine with the change today No problem - she was really great - no complaints! (I think she was different than the other girl who used to work there before? The other girl was slower?) Anyways, always professional, quick and clean service. They follow your natural browline and don't go too skinny ever. This is very important for threading as some places aim to give you an unnatural arch or the annoying v-look. Also, I appreciate the stamp card which rewards frequent customers. I have probably used two stamp cards since I have been here! They had a sign advertising their low price of $6.99 for eyebrow threading, which was a great price, so we had to give it a try! I live in the area and was glad to find out that this place had opened. I went in there tonight, explained to Sugy (or Suzy) that my eyebrows are not even. One is thicker than the other. I asked her to clean it up and just try to even them out but not to make them thin. I was surprised at the result... She didn't thin the thicker one but rather shaped them both the same. She said the thicker one looked better and I should let the other side catch up. I was thinking that most people will thin the thicker one to make them even... I was glad she didn't do that! My eyebrows looked so much better. $11 for upper lip and eyebrows. What a deal! read more

She does I great job at what she does. I would say the only thing that keeps me from being a regular are the excessive questions. Sometimes I just want to get threaded without the intrusion, if you know what I mean. I just want to be in and out without having to answer to everything, and to be honest it makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes. The last thing is, usually she always smells very clean and fresh. When getting threaded, bad BO or bad breath is the last thing you want in your face. But today, was the first time that I went to her and it was not good. Maybe because it was the end of the day. Went in today for my first threading ever. There wasn't much there in the way of ambiance or customer service (the woman greeted me by putting me in a chair right away and immediately starting to thread my brows, no questions asked), but the service was quick & cheap. My eyebrows ended up looking great! And for $7, it definitely wasn't a bad deal. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes total! I had a terrible threader, not sure what her name was but she completely made my eyebrows uneven. She kept talking to customers while threading them and even kept asking me rude questions. She kept asking me if I was in middle school when I clearly told her I was in my 20's. After she was done, I told her how unhappy I was with my eyebrows and all she said was "well they look fine to me" and kept arguing with me back and forth.
