If i could give a negative I would. We live in the middle of nowhere, I work from home and had a man WALK up our driveway, no vehicle in sight and say he was just in the area. Asking for the homeowner to be available. My boyfriend is at work and we do not own the home together and this man just kept talking for an hour of his sales pitch. Finally I gave him my number to contact me and my god WAS THAT A MISTAKE. they called me several times a day daily. Called me from different numbers after I have blocked the ones calling me after telling them I was not interested. Then today, was the last straw. I work from home but I have two large dogs. A man knocked on our door while I was in a robe and I did not answer. Thinking he would leave whatever he has in his hands and go on his way. I walk back in my office and sit down just to see out the window this man taking pictures all around our home and of our windows while I'm in my robe in my office and can clearly see me and I can see him. I call the office to advice I am not interested and I do not appreciate this. She proceeded to tell me they have a solicitation permit where they are able to do this. We live our of city limits so for one they do not and for two that does not give them the permission to come take photos of our house on our property without permission and walk around our house without our permission. She stated it did, well I advised her if he comes back I will be calling the police for harassment. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY GET YOUR ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER. read more

It was a cold winter afternoon and one of their guys came knocking on my door . I agreed to a free quote that was suppose to take 90 minutes. I wanted new gutters, a tiny bit of siding on our one gabel end of our ranch house and new soffit. Quoted me 25k. What an insult. My house is only worth around 100k and they wanted me to spend a quarter of that. The 90 minute quote took 5 hours of high pressure sales tactics. Do not let these fools bear your house. I placed an inquiry on Wednesday morning June 24th and received a call from a salesperson about coming to my home for a free estimate on 6 windows. During my call I was asked multiple times if my husband would be present while the estimate was done. I informed the salesperson that I have no spouse. Within an hour I received another call from a different salesperson inquiring about a husband again and I asked why I was asked That when I inquired about my windows. He proceeded to tell me it was against the law to come do an estimate if he wasn't there. I finally told him I do not have a husband and we set an appointment for June 27th at 10 AM The day of the estimate nobody showed up at the scheduled time I received a call 40 minutes past the time and I was told the technician was running late. Then I was again asked if my husband would be there. I again asked why everyone keeps asking me about a husband when I've told them in the last 48 hours that I do not have a husband. Then at this time he told me the next scheduled appointment time and he needed 90 minutes. He then wanted to schedule it a week out and I told him I'd have to look at my calendar and he said thank you then hung up. I set an appointment for an estimate on a Tuesday @ 6pm. About an hour later they called and asked if they could come at 2pm instead. I couldn't make that time and asked if 6pm would still be ok, they said it was fine. At 6:30p on the scheduled Tuesday they called to cancel asking if they could reschedule. Then told me they did could not make 6pm appointments. I set another appointment two weeks out at 2pm. I took the afternoon off, at 2:30pm the scheduled day I called to see if they were still coming. They told me my appointment had been the previous Tuesday and they came out and called with no response, that I had missed the appointment. The funny thing is I was home that day and no one called or came. So not only did they really screw up the appointment but then lied to me to save face. I am currently trying to set up an appointment for my 4th all dry installment. That makes 3 times it was done incorrectly. Water is seeping through the seem and i have mold under the carpet. When they do this, the entire lower portion of my house is unusable for several days followed by days of cleaning my entire house from the concrete dust. I am still paying for this. When I call at 8:30 am, they said they would call me tomorrow to set up an appointment, that does not seem like respectable service. At least they have a lifetime warranty on this. ***UPDATE*** It keeps getting more and more frustrating with these people. Their tech came out on a Sat (on time). I have 5 problem spots where water/or moisture is coming up from the system. I was in the middle of showing the tech when he interrupted and said they just need to seal the floor. I showed him the rest, the worst of which was in a closet where mold is growing in and around a grate they put in. When I told him about the mold he says "that is defiantly not mold, mold is not yellow, it is just dust from the carpet padding". After this he again tells me they just need to seal the floor. When I ask why water is coming up he says "the system is probably overfilling" to which I ask, why would there be enough pressure for the water to come up, which he responded "I don't know about that". At this point I told him is supposed to know or find out and that sealing the floor does not fix the system I paid for. He said he was going to have the manager Aaron give me a call then walked of and said "later bro". It is Wednesday and still no call. read more

Great windows but false hope from customer service. Great people that work at the company for installing But BAD managers (Sheri and Jeff). Here is why. We got our windows installed in May of 2015. When they installed them they did a great job. but however there was 1 small part that had a defect preventing one of our windows from locking completely. Which make it unsafe to open. I have called a number of times giving them my cell phone number. Yet they never seem to update it in the system (when talking directly to Jeff or Sheri). This is now going on 8 month my window is still not fixed and they sill call the wrong number every time they return calls. VERY VERY VERY unhappy.... read more

I was skeptical about having them out to my house when I saw that them had a bad ratings on Yelp. I'm was pleasantly surprised by how nice and none pushy the sale rep. was. His sales pitch was through and set my wife and I at easy with the company and the product. He had me and my wife walk with him to show us the areas that we hadn't noticed living here. He took a lot of time to educate us on the problem with our gutters. I feel like an expert know on gutters. Their product is only the best. They don't do the good better best. I could tell that Kenny our sales rep. really cared about us and our home. We had on problem buying from Unique Home Solutions. The installation crew ran into some hiccups that resulted in a week delay put we know things happen and the crew was very polite and sorry for the inconvenience of it all. Unique Home Solutions started a bathroom job in our home on July 5th. The workers were very nice, but they kept having problems with the materials they needed every day. These issues included: 1.Wrong hardware for vanity 2.Wrong water faucet for vanity 3.The side-splashes for the vanity were not in the box with the Vanity. (They found the back splash in their warehouse, but I am still waiting on the side splash.) 4. They were suppose to complete the shower last Friday, but the handicap seat did not have the brace brackets in the box. They told me on Friday, July 7th that the missing items would be ordered and that they would call me on Wednesday, July 12 to come and finish the job. I have not heard from them again and today is Friday, July 14th. I tried to reach our initial Sales Manager, BUT his email on his business card comes up, no such email. I cannot use the shower until the seat is properly bracketed in to hold my weight. The hand held shower faucet has no place to hold it while I soap up and wash my hair. Consequently, it hangs down and moves around and sprays out of the shower above the door. AND, we've noticed that the vanity sink never drains completely dry. All around the drain, the water sits in a tiny puddle and doesn't actually drain away. I believe the shower floor has the same issues, It holds small puddles of water, even once the shower turns off and all standing water should drain away. The material is very pretty, but does not properly functional as it should! The entire bathroom was suppose to be complete with 5 days, total, from start to finish. It has now been 10 days, and we are still waiting. I believe we have been grossly overcharged for the materials and work that needed to be done in our bathroom. I am not a happy customer at this point! The Better Business Bureau has a page on Unique Home Solutions, but they have not been accredited or recommended by the Better Business Bureau. I just spoke to a "Shannon" about all the problems listed above and she had to transfer me to the Service department. No one answered in the service department and I left a message on an answering machine there. I have not gotten any satisfactory answers to my questions and no time-line as to when my seat brackets will be in so I can take a shower, nor how long it will take for the ordered parts to be in. I don't know how they are still in business. High prices, low quality, bad customer service. This place is a joke. First, I purchased new windows from them and the financing of seemed right ($200 a month for what I got seemed accurate for a 60 month term). Got the first bill and it was a 30 YEAR TERM!!! Refinanced it through my bank. But still a hassle. Then, they quoted $10k on a bathroom remodel. No sink or toilet, just tub and flooring. It was a definite no. A few months later I get a call that it's "customer appreciation month and we can save you money on your previous quote." They came out with absolutely no notes from the previous visit. I made the same selections. And they slide me a quote for $15k!!! So much for saving money on my original quote??? That's 50% higher! It was a definite hell no. In 2014 we had our builder grade windows replaced by Larmco. They did an exceptional job...in and out in 3 days. We received the letter that Unique Home Solutions has bought out Larmco and all warranties would be in place at Unique. When we purchased these windows we were told that the whole window is under warranty. We have since had one of our windows crack on the inside. My first call to Unique I was informed that they will not cover broken glass and I was placed in "Brian's Voicemail". No phone call back. My husband has since sent an email to info@uniquehomesolutions and we have not heard a peep. Today marks the third attempt at finding out how to go about getting my window replaced. Again, a message was left with "Brian". I informed the gal that answered the phone that I've already left a message and an email. She let me know that the service department is backed up and they address issues in the order they were received. Ok fine...this is going on three weeks and no word from them. Is there really a service department?? I bet if I call for a free estimate I'll have someone knocking on my door in 3 minutes. Terrible experience. We replaced the entry door on our house in New Castle 3 years ago and it still is not right. Cold air blows right through the corners of the door and rain puddles on the floor inside the house! At first, when it was convenient in their schedule, they would come out and adjust the door. The adjustments made the door so tight we could not use it. They decided that the only way to keep the rain out was to us a storm door. It took about 4 months to get it installed. We scheduled the work for the morning and waited. It was around 1PM when we got a call that they would not be able to work on our home today. This happened 2 times wasting too much of our time! At this time the door is still not effective at blocking the elements and we have been paying the price for 3 years. I would never suggest Unique to any one for any thing! read more

Most of our windows and doors are from Unique. Also our gutters and now they are up there putting on a new roof. I am so happy with this company and have never had a problem with them. Yes, they are pricey but like my Dad always said "you get what you pay for". I had one problem with a window and they came right out and fixed it. I live in Ohio where Unique home improvement is attempting to make a go .Well with they way they treat perspective customers I don't think that will happen.They arrived at my house and 3 hours later they were still here!I wanted siding 24 square and 8 windows they gave a quote of 51,000 ! I have other quotes from 5 star companies so I know this is out of sight. Not only that the sales men were very rude said I had to make a decision while they were there .would not leave a copy of estimate so there was no breakdown of costs, I have worked with many contractors and never had to ask them to leave.So I would not recommend this company read more

Hugely overpriced; Doesn't live up to their hype. $12000 for update of small galley kitchen. For this princely sum, we expected perfection. But we didn't get anything close. They recommended their Aeon as countertop & backsplash material. Granite, quartz, etc. would've been cheaper & more durable. Where Aeon ends halfway up the walls, it looks cheap & unfinished. 6 months after installation, a 3" stress crack appeared on unused side wall. Replacement sink must be the cheapest thing they could find at Lowe's. Within 6 months it was permanently scratched from plastic dishdrain & dishes I've used & washed for years. My 25-yr-old sink never scratched up like this. It looked far better at 25 than new one looks now. So the countertops/backsplash + undermount sink + refinished cabinets w/hardware is the extent of what we got for 12k. On our own, we painted the room, installed light fixture, replaced switch plates & outlet plates, bought over-range microwave, and replaced window & miniblinds. Besides taking their customers to the cleaners, they often don't show up as arranged and the company in general obviously has communications problems. UHS has a lifetime guarantee on their products. But our experience with them was so poor that we will not be contacting them to correct the flaws I mentioned. We simply don't want them to come back, ever again ! read more

Someone in management at Unique needs to be aware of the HORRIBLE customer service offered by their company. I had an appointment today at 5PM at my home for a waterproofing estimate. I left a meeting at work to meet your service guy at the home. By 5:20PM I called after nobody had called me to say they were running late. The customer service rep said he had just talked to the sales person and the guy had indicated his GPS stated he would be at my home by 5PM (granted this is now almost 5:30PM). I pointed out how this statement made no since as if he had just talked to the guy it would have already been after 5PM. They assured me someone would call me back. 20 minutes later nobody had called me back. I called again and was told a supervisor was suppose to have called me. I was then told that the guy had been 13 miles from me about 20 minutes ago but was stuck in traffic. When I pressed further on when he would be at my home I was told maybe 7P or 8P. This is not to mention that on Thursday 7/2 I received a random call stating that my guy was running late and I didn't even have an appointment scheduled on that day. Perhaps Unique does good work but I will never know as I was never able to get past your call center. Due to their lies I would never use their company or recommend it to anyone ! read more

If you are even thinking about getting any work done through this company, run away while you can. This was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. I wish I would have done more research before making a decision to go with Unique Home Solutions. The sales people make it sound like you are getting such a great deal, when all they are doing is ripping you off. Unfortunately I didn't know what costs of bathrooms should be. They charged me $20,000 for a jet tub and a shower! They took all these "discounts" off and made it sound like a once in a lifetime deal. They tricked me into getting a $2400 floor that I didn't want and it does not match the bathroom. The contractors weren't the greatest. They showed up late and left early every day, left a mess behind, left the doors open (I have dogs and cats), they disappeared several times. I am not happy with this experience. Unique Home Solutions said they will do whatever they can to make us happy, but I don't think that is going to happen. I would really like a discount, but every time I mention it, they ignore me. We just find out that the "affordable payment" they gave us, isn't even enough to cover the interest. That was never mentioned before. We will literally be paying on this forever. Unique Home Solutions I could not have been more disappointed and shocked frankly! We invited Unique to provide a window estimate, and immediately "connected" with Kenny. He was professional, polite and has been with Unique for 15 years and is not paid by commission. That typically gives a positive impression, and we were looking forward to doing business with him! I was a tad bit peeved to receive 3 different confirmations of our appointment from the staff at the office and expressed this concern to Kenny. After the 90 minute appointment, we set up another meeting to receive the estimate. Again, we received 2 more confirmations. At the 2nd appointment, another man showed. Talking with him on the phone while he sat in his car, I asked if he had the estimate. No. Then how can you help me? I made three more calls to get our estimate and specifically asked for the original Kenny. We have never received a follow-up! We can't even get an estimate, and I mentioned on the phone that we also needed an estimate on siding due to hail damage. Unique has just purchased an Ohio business, but they're not proving that they can handle the growing pains. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever let in my home. I did not and will not ever do business with them. The "Vice President" and "sales manager" are the rudest most unprofessional people I have ever met. The first 2 appointment were no shows, and when I agreed to a third appointment a 90 minute sales presentation turned into a 4 hour $35,000 ridiculous quote. A week later they called and wanted to come back and give me a better deal. I specifically said we will not be sitting for another 4 hour appointment, and I was assured it would be quick. They are expensive. A rep came to my door and asked if we were looking to do any work on the house. We have a small piece of molding on the front porch that has water damage and I told him that was one thing we were getting quotes on. He asked about our gutters and I told him he could give us a quote but the molding was our priority. Two very nice guys came and inspected our house aroud 6:30. They left at 9pm and gave me a quote for gutters, molding and a new roof for $38,000. That is 1/4 the price I paid for my house as we bought it in a down market from a desperate seller. I know my roof costs $6,000 as we've had it estimated by bonded, well known roofers. Like the last reviewer, they did a hard sell but I have no problem with salesman, it is their job. Their biggest hard sell was that they make salary and it doesn't matter to them what I do but that their workers need to make money. The economy is hard on all of us so I can't worry about workers when I'm worrying about my own family. In the end, I asked about the rotting wood and he said a handyman can do that. The handyman service of Unique was what the guy sold me on when he first came to my door. Again, I have no problem with the salesman as they were doing their job, but the door to door guy who came obviously missed what I wanted done. $38,000 for an 1800 square foot house, c'mon. read more

Where do I begin? I experienced the same sales job as the rest of you did. When I laughed at their original quote, they came back a couple of days later to my hme with "The Closer" My wife and I are both sales people, so we had our BS radar on full blast. They convinced us to buy two doors at half price, which is still 50% higher than you can get anywhere else, but we were sold on the "Lifetime Warranty". Both doors were installed and we have not had trouble with one of them. However, the exterior door that had the contact for our alarm was installed with leaks around the doors and a door latch that kept sticking. They also ripped the alarm sensor out of the wall and did not re-install it. I had to have the alarm company out to fix that. We had technicians come out three separate times to try and fix the leaks and sticking. The last technician tried to blame our problem on us because he said our door jam was too thick. I explained to him that thisshould have been discovered before they took my old door out and discarded it. He took pictures and said he was going to check with a supervisor on how best to attack the problem. That was nearly two years ago and we have not seen them sense. A sales person called us about a year ago to see if they could sell us anything else. We told her about our bad experience and she apologized and asked if she could schedule someone to make it right. We said yes, but guess what? They never showed up. Now my door handle has disentigrated and I called service 48 hours ago and was promised that someone would call to schedule an appoinment within 24 hours. You guessed it....I'm still waiting on a call. Their customer care after the sale is one of the worst I have experienced. I pray that one of their sales people doesn't approach me at the home show, because I'll probably unload in front of everyone there. read more

Like everyone else they quoted me this outlandish price for first a bathroom install and when I declined they called me later and convinced me to consider window work, again at first the price was ridiculous no matter how many panes of glass and warranties they offered but then he did me a "favor" and offered me a discount. Their reps are knowledgeable and truly come across as believing in their product and the company but there is a another side to all of this candy land wonderment... I had a rep come to my house, signed up to have windows installed through out my house. He said I was approved for financing, he did the finance work. I should have known better and stopped right there...sales people do not good finance managers make, the two should never cross! He said I was financed I wrote him a $3500 deposit check and all was good....or so I thought. 2 weeks later (of course after my check had been cashed) I'm told "I don't meet their criteria to be financed for the project...sorry. But we can come out and at least install a door." WTF...a door! They said they would return my deposit. One month later I am still calling asking where is my deposit that was to be mailed back to me 3 weeks ago. Now today I'm told it will be mailed out next week. Aaaarrgghhh! I am so through with this company. My advice anyone who is thinking of working with Unique and they talk you into applying for their financing or even if you are not applying for their financing DO NOT exchange any cash until you know for certain they are going to do the work. read more

I' m curious as to how long it takes to complete a kitchen remodel ? Contract was signed in Sept 2014. Work started in Oct 2014. Here it is middle of Jan. 2015 and we are still waiting for the completion. Wrong pantry was sent, the lamination is bad, not the workers error. No one checked to see if the hardware was sent for the pull-out drawers in the pantry. Most things have been taken care of. Finally got the right pantry., just no hardware for the pull-out drawers, or even the drawers. The great guys, Ryan and Cody, made shelves so we could at least utilize the pantry. I'm wondering if the money could have been spent in a more optimum way...... read more

The company is not out to help people like BOB DILLION say they are. I have had 9 TIA's and cannot get into a regular tub. I had them come out to see about a walk-in tub. I was quoted a price of over $18,000 dollars. I really don't have that kind of money around and cannot afford a loan. I asked about CICOA but the salesperson didn't talk about it. I really would, for safety reasons like to get a tub. If the owner wasn't so busy doing commercials (that cost quite a bit of money) and really did care about people's welfare then it might be that much money. i live in brooklyn, ohio maybe that is the differance in reviews but i am totally thrilled with their work ! appointment was right on time, we sat and being a single woman,i did do my homework, i let him know right up front about the prices i have found. he was very informative about the company and was curtious with me. the price he quoted me was a little higher than a few other companies but was also lower than a few well advertised companies. i got all new windows, a huge bay window and a new patio door. the work was done perfect and they kept all clean up on them, i didnt have to lift a finger. the installers were on time and very trained at what they do. my neighbors were all watching the work and im constantly being told how nice my windows look. a great job and highly recommend read more

Our experience with this company was less than superb. We arranged to have someone from Unique come out and give us a quote on windows. I told the scheduling person upfront that we would not be purchasing windows the day they came out to give us an estimate as we had several companies we were getting estimates from. The day that the employee came to our home wasn't terrible. The young man was a little pushy, but friendly. We were floored by the estimate though. For 13 windows we were quoted almost $30,000. Keep in mind that our windows are of average size and shape, so its not like we had a bunch of bay windows or anything to replace. We told him thanks but no thanks. It was after this that the issues started. A couple days later we got a call from the "manager" stating he wanted to come out and personally remeasure the windows to ensure that we were quoted the lowest possible price. I said that if he wanted to come out that was fine, but we were not going to commit to windows as we were waiting on some medical tests and complications that had arose, and didn't feel comfortable committing to windows until the medical finances were settled. He said he understood and he scheduled to come out that Saturday. He never showed. My husband and I waited two hours and he never showed. I had to call the office 9 times before someone answered. When someone finally answered they apologized and rescheduled to come out the following Tuesday. I reiterated to that guy that we were not committing to windows and he assured me they were just coming out to remeasure and give us a new quote. We were also told they would give us a significant discount due to our wasted Saturday of waiting for the no show manager. Too bad everything was a lie. The young man who showed up Tuesday was another salesman, he was not told that he was only supposed to remeasure and not give us a sales pitch. He stayed for almost two hours trying to get us to commit to windows. I explained several times we were not committing at that time and that I had told his manager that, but he told me that I had not spoken to a manager and that he knew nothing about us not buying windows. He also said he knew nothing about a discount for a no show manager. Finally I had to kick him out of my home. It should have ended there, however we continued to receive calls from Unique until I very rudely told them to never call us again. I initially became familiar this entity at a Home show in the Cleveland area. I really did not have a project for them and specifically told them that when one did come up I would give them a chance to quote. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did they make attempt to get business, they called the worn place constantly. First red flag. Holding true to my promise, I invited them out to look at a tricky project. After several week at trying to connect and arrange a time, we had a sales rep visit. Rep was friendly and all but not sure what happened. He was unable to provide any real detail in the initial visit. He would have to get a local construction supervisor out and gave us fodder instead of answers. That was 7 months ago. I have repeatedly tried to get in touch with the rep. I was told that a supervisor would contact me, Still waiting since 10/27/2016 for them to figure a time to coordinate internally and then call me back. There is no way to reach the sales representative directly. All calls seem to be networked through a control office and then someone decides on level of customer service to provide (or in this case, lack thereof). OK, for the best part, my deal upon having a sales rep come out and give me a quote was their promise of a free handyman service (gutter cleaning). Yep, that hasn't been provided either. Maybe there is something else about me they don't like, I ask questions and have a good understanding of construction. Bottom line here, if it looks like a duck, smells like duck walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it isn't UNIQUE. While I think everyone can see the writing on this wall, it still puzzles me why no response back. If they can't or don't want to do the project, then say so. Be professional. Word to the wise, be sure to have other options. Once you do, it will be a no-brainer on which one NOT to hire. The choice to put in one star is not my choice. Even if scaling was 10 stars, one would still be too high based on my experiences with this company. read more

If you have an appointment with them or have signed a contract get out as fast as you can. They will use hardball sales tactics and misinformation to scare you into signing with them on their initial appointment so you don't have a chance to review other companies or their reviews and realize what a joke their cost is. I had an inspection done of my roof and was told that it needed to be replaced. They spent hours going over their company and how great there products and their company is. Then they will alarm you with all the issues you will have if you don't get the job done with them. Finally, they will talk about their products and warranties and how they take care of their customers. Then comes the pitch, "based on all this information is there anything other than price that would stop you from signing with us today?". It's used to get your agreement on this little item so that when they give you their exorbitant price your a little more likely to agree again. This is when the sales rep gave us the price of $32000 to replace a 28 square roof using the gaf slateline shingles. This is over $1142/sqaure when the average cost for a new roof is roughly $300-500/square. After they stop your heart with their price here comes the second pitch (and this is the one that shows they are just trying to get you signed and don't care about you). If you sign today they will drop the price so that they can keep their employees busy. Our new prices was dropped all the way to $26000 but only if we signed that day without being able to take time to get other quotes, more information about roofing jobs, and more information about their company in general. This is a hardball sales tactic and whenever you see this be leery as it means that they don't actual believe that what they are selling is a value. If it was a true value they would be ready to take on other companies, have people find out more about their company (rather than just the misleading information they give), and stand behind their price even though it is high because they truly felt that what they are selling is worth their higher price. I have had several companies come and give me quotes and all are in $8000-10000 range. All have better ratings on Angies List, and all have comparable products and warranties, That's another thing, don't be fooled by their warranty. Their 50 year or lifetime warranty (can't remember now which), you can get directly from the manufactures for a pittance of the cost just by using a certified installer of their products and then you don't have to worry if Unique goes out of business because you can use any certified installer later to get your issues fixed. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Unique will try to scare you into doing business with them. Be smart enough to do your research and see that they are not all they claim and there are a lot of better options out there. By the way, think about this. Unique's quote was over double that of any other company, so of course they can offer a lifetime warranty, first they get the warranty through the manufacturer, then they have already charged you for installing the roof twice. Either way they make a killing and you get screwed. read more

We had Unique come out to give us a quote for a new roof. The first guy was a great salesman and talked up their product and 50 year guarantee. Then with a 30 % off discount, we were sold. A second guy came out a couple of days later just to remeasure and verify the first guy. Yesterday a third guy came out and told us he was very sorry but there was a big discrepancy in the two measurements and he was going to have to void our contract. The first measurement was 20 square and the second was 38 square. The company certainly could not do the job for the price originally quoted. So the third guy had Eagleview measure our roof and got 32 square which was going to be nearly $50.000.....but he would give us 50% off because of the error. So we were going to be paying $8,000 more than originally quoted. We told him that voiding our contract was a blessing because we were told the first price was way too much....AND if three guys can't come up with the same measurement how do we know they will be able to do the job right. This was a bait and switch just like Larmco (the company that Unique took over) did to us on a walk in tub. They sold us a 72 jet tub and installed a 6 jet tub.....because it was an upgrade. THE MOST ANNOYING COMPANY EVER! While I have not had them do any work on my house, I tried to get them to come out and give me an estimate on two different projects. They start out very cooperative and schedule a time to come out. Then another scheduler calls and tells you that all owners of the house must be present for a 90 minute presentation. When I informed them that I only needed an estimate and would make a decision after consulting several of their competitors and that only I could be there for the initial consultation (my wife has no desire to be there for initial conversations), they informed me that their time was too valuable for all parties not to be there. The scheduler was then very rude and cancelled the appointment. I guess this company thinks that fancy commercials (and not a good reputation) are all that are needed to run a successful business. I will not ever consider using this company in the future. read more

Had 5 windows replaced in June. Everything was fine but last night jan 6th we noticed it was freezing in our living room. I went to the two new windows and air was just flowing in from the seems between the up window and lower. The seals failed. I called home solutions today and was told someone will be out on January 16. Really? Lady told me they are swamped. I guess everyone windows are failing? I paid damn good money for these windows now I have to cover them up with plastic just so we can sit in our living room until the 16, unreal. Mind you, today is the 7th. How is that for customer service. Only bright spot, I have 22 more windows to replace so guess who I won't be calling to do the job. So did my mother in law and cousin. No thank you. I will keep you posted if they even make the 16 th. The time to really now how good a company is, comes when it's time you need them the most. read more
