Safelite said they would need a month before they could get to my car and wasn't sure if they could source the part. UPAG was able to source the glass and match the tint and have everything done (including glass cleaned up) the same day. The experience was painless, minus the expense and hassle of having your car broken into. A week later, my car got broken into again. I went to UPAG, and they told me the glass was an OEM part and would take a few days to find. They were also careful to make sure the part matched the trim of my car, which they did. DO NOT SHOP HERE. This business gives quotes, prices, and promises in BAD-FAITH. A good friend of mine called the insurance to fix a small crack in the windshield no larger than a quarter. He was promised that since the fracture is so small, there would be no deductible. In the midst of the process the windshield broke. The repairman admitted it was his fault - but stated that since the damage is now more severe a deductible will be charged. This was not explained beforehand. That's operating business in bad-faith. Laughed during the process of exchanging information and then completely lied to the insurance that I was backing up at a red light. After refusing an offer from the owner that included me not reporting the incident to our insurance , both the owner and driver have been completely dishonest. This time I needed a replacement back window because mine was shattered from a break-in. I called and got an immediate quote. The person on the phone was so helpful and found me a used replacement in Oakland which arrived in a few hours. They had my car finished and ready in almost no time. I was appreciative that the used window saved me money and including labor, cost me $150. Just the other day had to have my Chevy Malibu windshield replaced - they were able to fit me in, fix in within an hour and did not cause a fit when I gave them wrong information (did not know my windshield had sensors so they had to find the proper one on short notice). I went in there this morning by chance to see if they can put in a sunroof that i found. not only did they put it in - it was a very difficult job, they fixed the mechanism that was bent. I cannot say anything more. These people are excellent. It was a difficult job, but they got it done and got it done right. I was put into contact with Unique Payless Auto Glass by my insurance company after my car was broken into and my driver's window was broken. The experience started great. They came out in a timely manner and made the repair the same day. After the repair, I started to have issues with the door handle on the interior of the door not working. I contacted the company and they had the technician come back out to check on the issue. The technician said it would take him about 10 minutes to fix but I did not hear back from him. After 45 minutes, I went to check on the status of my car. The technician locked my keys in my car! He was looking around on the ground for something to try to jimmy the door lock. When I told him to call a locksmith, he suggested that I call my insurance for roadside assistance. I told him no...he needs to call someone. I then called the office and spoke to the manager. I was advised that it was going to take 45 minutes to an hour for the locksmith our to open the door. Upon hearing this, the manager said that he would come up from Fremont to deal with the situation. I never heard from the manager again. An hour and 15 minutes later and my car is unlocked but now my driver's door will not open at all!!! The drivers door is still torn apart because the technician cannot open it to reassemble it. The technician says that he did not cause the issue that it was caused by the broken glass before he made the repair. Well the glass was broken and the door still worked so that is hard to believe. I have had to go back to my insurance and open a warranty claim on this business' shoddy work and am stuck with a driver's door that is torn apart and will not open at least until tomorrow. Avoid this company even if your insurance recommends them! read more

Had a crack in my window after a rock hit it on the highway-I called in around 3:45pm and asked if I could bring it in and they she sure but when I confirmed the address they gave me the Fremont address and I didn't want to get stuck in traffic. They offered to come to my house for free and to fix the glass. So set up an appt for the next day, they showed up in the given time slot and replaced the glass in just 20 min.
