I live in LA and rented a car for the weekend to go up to the San Jose area because I had an exam for a job at 7:45 Saturday morning. I left LA at around 9 pm and got to Sunnyvale around 3 am. A quarter of a mile from my exit off the freeway...putt putt putt...the damn rental broke down. Considering a car I had purchased three months ago also broke down this week, I was on the verge of having a breakdown of my own. I called the rental company's roadside assistance, and they said a tow truck driver would be there within an hour (btw, don't ever rent from Dollar!). About a half an hour later, Nick showed up. He helped calm me down and had me sit in his truck while he hitched the vehicle. We were out of there within 10-15 minutes. He was so kind and understanding. He dropped me off at my friend's house and gave me his card in case I had any questions or needed anything else. About a minute after he dropped me off, I realized I didn't have my driver's license, which I needed in order to sit the exam later that morning. I started panicking, cursing whatever god or evil force out there that was trying hard to prevent me from taking this exam. I called Unique, and a woman (I believe her name was Mary, not entirely sure) answered. She was very polite and promptly connected me to Nick. I explained that I misplaced my DL to Nick and asked him to look in the vehicle. He put me on hold, and about a minute later said he did not see my DL in the vehicle. Boo. My friend and I were prepared to get in his vehicle and search the side of the freeway with flashlights (crazy, I know). As we were driving to the spot where the vehicle broke down, Nick called and said he looked a second time for my DL and found it underneath a seat close to the center console. I must have sounded like a crazy (albeit thankful) lunatic at this point because I started screaming and thanking him profusely. He said he would stay at the tow yard until my friend and I retrieved my DL, so we hurried over there to get it. What a relief! Unique Towing was so good to me. My car was dead and I thought that I needed either a tow or a jump. Great attitude and amazing customer service both over the phone and in person. Both people I talked to were very friendly. Our car was totaled in a head on collision, at pre-dawn hours. Unique Towing was called by the PD. The tow driver and an assistant worked for over 30 minutes just to load the car onto the flatbed tow truck, no easy task given the wreckage. The drivers were courteous, professional and patient. Later the same day we had to visit the tow yard to clean out our belongings from the car. I've always heard good things about Unique Towing, so when I had some new equipment coming to my shop I couldn't think of any better place to use than Unique Towing. I needed a flat bed to pull the equipment off of the semi truck and place them on the ground gently. I needed the flatbed truck to be at my shop at 9am and the driver was right on time. He took very good care in removing the equipment from the semi truck. It was a little challenging, but the driver was able to adapt quick and make everything go smooth and easy. My poor car stuttered and was rendered un-driveable last evening in San Jose. I called my insurance company who then promptly contacted Unique Towing. Made an appointment for this morning - Stephen arrived in 30 mins (within the promised hour), hooked me up within 10 minutes and gave me a ride to my mechanic's. The entire trip with peak-time traffic took all of 40 minutes and my car arrived safely at the mechanic's. Stephen was courteous/pleasamt, totally helpful and professional -- I'll definitely be calling on Unique if I ever need them again. 5 stars for Henry and Unique Towing hubby works graveyard he's on 2 hours of sleep and headed to job 2 when he blew a tire on his Mercedes.he had to be back at work graveyard by 530 tonight.he needs time to sleep.. Had to utilize the services of Unique Towing which was actually recommended by Porsche of North America. The driver who responded to the call was Jim. He was friendly, courteous and very pleasant to talk to. Most people when they need a tow are usually not in the greatest of moods and Jim had a good sense of humor which was cool. I'm also a car guy and very meticulous about my cars. WITHOUT having to ask, mention and request that he be careful in loading my car on the truck. He was naturally and automatically cautious and patient making 100% certain that my car was loaded without scraping. I never had to say one word and he was a professional in what he was doing. This morning at 4:45 am my father tire blew out so I called my insurance (at 5:00am) and they said Unique Towing will be on their way, the ETA was 60 min. We made sure we told the insurance to send a flatbed since my car is low (BMW). Jonray got there within 10 mins. When he gets there he is very rude to my father and says you ordered a flat bed(mind you he was not a flat bed) and your car is low(standard BMW size) so we can't tow you. My father said we asked for a flat bed because of the car and Jonray response was well too bad we don't have any flat beds and left it like that and took off. I know every company has flat bed my husband used to work for a tow company years ago. Next time my insurance says Unique Towing is coming to help I will be asking for a different Company. I had a typical overwhelming and stressful breakdown on the off ramp of the freeway. The driver came sooner than expected, when he did, the most polite gentleman ever. I can't recall his name but he was an islander that said he use to tow airplanes. I mention this because he truly was a great help and he deserves recognition for his hard work. First of all I'd like to say thank you to DT's UNIQUE towing service. After a ruff morning I got ready to head to work. Got in my car and noticed a puddle of water under my suburban. Right away I knew it was my water pump. I called a shop to repair it. They said that they would send Unique towing over to pick up my truck and within 10 minute, they were knocking on my door. Loaded my vehicle onto the flatbed and off we went. Driver explained to me on how he secured my vehicle and educated me on other things regarding towing.
