My car brokedown at 9:30 at night on a Monday. I tried calling other tow companies and Unique was the only one open. They had someone out to get me within the hour. The VERY nice girl on the phone said they were busier than usual. The service was quick and friendly. After having the car towed to my house, I used them three days later to tow my car to the mechanic. I was just as pleased the first time as I was the second time - the second time was even better because they were out within 20 minutes. Same fast and friendly service. Very quick and courteous. Ordered via GEICO Roadside Service app. Got call from dispatcher within 1 min and then driver within 5 min. ETA was 1 hr, but truck got there quickly and even got me to body shop before arrival ETA. Henry (tow truck driver) was safe, courteous and professional. Friendly conversation on the way. I want to give 0 star if possible. I was told to come pick up my car after office hour. When I arrived the help desk said people are out to deal with an accident. Had to wait for an hour for them to come back. When they came back they asked me for printed paperpwork which the front desk didn't tell me to bring when I talked to them over phone. Then they asked me to take a Uber to find a printing shop to print it out. I refused cuz I suspected it would happen again that If I go to do the printing they will leave office again. After wasted so much time at night on these guys I had to give up picking my car. Ridiculously bad service. read more

When I discovered my flat tire I called Geico and they sent out Unique Towing to help me change it (because of course I can't do it myself) and John my driver was so pleasant, he really lifted my spirits and turned the situation positive. This is a great towing service. I've used them on multiple occasions and they have always been timely, professional and friendly. The most recent towing was today when my car broke down on 280 freeway. Brad clearly knew what he was doing. My car was pulled off on a narrow strip and he made me feel very safe getting out. He was also fun to talk with on the ride back. He didn't have to do any of these things, yet he did. If I ever have trouble again I will see if Brad from Unique towing is available. read more

After 18 years of driving, I have needed a tow twice in the same year. Born under a bad sign? Perhaps. At any rate, on both occasions, Unique Towing has been my knight in literally shining armor (clean, shiny trucks!). I put in the call to my local mechanic and they facilitate calling Unique. Within minutes, I get a call from Unique and from the first "good morning" to the closing "we'll see you shortly" they are nothing but kind and caring. They know you hate being stuck on the side of the road and that all you want to do is get on your way. Their demeanor is calming which sounds like something small but it helps keep the stress level way down on my end. Both times that I have used them, their arrival has been pretty speedy. Most recently, I needed them on a Monday morning smack in the middle of morning rush hour traffic and I think I waited less than twenty minutes for them to arrive. The driver was polite and efficient and had me off the side of the road in about ten minutes. I guess I just always imagine needing a tow truck as a huge time consuming disaster that ruins your entire day. This is not the case with Unique Tow. I did need a ride to my mechanic's shop and the technician was kind, courteous and kept a clean vehicle which is great too. If someone and their company can make you feel completely at ease during a stressful situation like blowing a tire on the freeway and being out of commission, then they get my seal of approval. I really can't say enough good things about this tow service and the next time I need a tow (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself) they will of course be the tow company I call. I have nothing but good things to say about Unique, they are the only people I trust towing my cars. I have a Nissan 300zx that is lowered but they were able to get it on the truck without scraping my exhaust or front bumper. I've had my car towed several times and all their drivers are super friendly even the staff in the office are nice both Rana and Abel, I'm not sure what some people are talking about here but they all know what they're doing. The female who answers the telephone is terribly rude. I called to confirm receipt of a fax to the the tow company and I gave her the fax confirmation info.. She put me on hold for several minutes. When she returned to the phone she stated "We don't got it" and said the confirmation means nothing because they delete the fax history. I was at work so I asked if I could email the paperwork and she hung up before I could finish my question. Really? That's the service I receive after spending $600 on a tow. read more

I had a tire blowout on the freeway and had to get off the road fast. I contacted Geico and they sent this company out to change my tire. The tow-car driver (Jose I think) arrived quickly. At first when we tried to get our totaled car out we couldn't because they are closed on the weekends go figure most busiest time to not be open for business. On top of that they still charged us $85 dollars a day for the days they were closed, and when we spoke to a women that work there she gave us a totally different price then what we had to pay when it came time to pick it up which was a whole hundred dollars more! when we did come in to pay, the guy couldn't even find a pen nor the change we were due it seemed as if he didn't belong in the office. However I had an out standing experience with this people. 1- On the phone I was respected as Human not just another checking account. 2- Timing is everything to me, if I hear "In 20 minutes" within 30 minutes I make sure the person would pay me back 10 minutes of my life. Well, I found out I was worry for nothing. The Unique Towing was even 5 minutes early. 3- It is important to many of us to at least to be understood that we are under pressure with a none working vehicle and the unknown cost of repair. I waited for sometime but then JonRay.V arrived with his flat bed and did an extra ordinary job, first by pulling the car which had no power and dead bolt and put it safely on the truck, and cautiously dropped off at the dealership. Last Wednesday my battery was dead. A short time after calling the 800 number on my insurance card, I received a call from Unique Towing. I was told an employee was on the way to hep me. Within 30 minutes of my original call, Christian arrived in my driveway. He quickly accessed by battery and charged it. He was professional, efficient, informative and kind. Very nice and courteous when I called but I forgot to discuss price and this was a huge mistake. I waited for the tow truck for 40 minutes. When the truck showed up they gave me a quote of $127 for only a few miles (Saratoga to Sunnyvale). I called the office to negotiate the price to a more normal rate. The manager was very rude and eventually told me he was going to cancel the call and hung up. I asked the driver to call his manager to "save the deal". He did and managed to "save the deal" for the super high price. The driver was very nice but I strongly suspect this was their usual little play to make a customer pay whatever they ask or be stranded. I will never do business with these people again. They make you wait to create incentive for you to proceed and then force you into outrageous rates. There should be regulations against these kind of borderline scams. read more

Initial post (see update also): Very unprofessional. Told me a tow truck would be here in one hour and it has been two and a half hours. And when I was trying to tell them on the phone as calmly as I could that they should not have committed for this time, the lady tells me "don't yell at me". Wow! I wonder what would have happened if I had really yelled. Well, I have an update. When the tow truck did arrive, the driver was very apologetic and did the job very well. He took great care to make sure that my new car was carefully loaded and secured on the truck and then delivered it to the dealership with the appropriate paperwork. Also next day I got a phone message explaining the reason for the delay, and the action taken to make sure the communication over the phone is done well in the future. So now, "Yay! I'm a fan" and I would recommend Unique Towing to others. read more

Last night we were towing a new Ski Centurion boat from Fresno to Sunnyvale. In San Jose there had been an accident on 101 North and debris was in the slow lane. Traffic around us was crazy fast and we had no way to avoid running over it and blew out two right tires and the rims from the boat trailer, leaving us disabled on the side of the road. One tow company came out and spent an hour and couldn't get the boat up on their flat bed (3K lb boat + trailer) they suggested Unique Towing. Unique Towing arrived with 2 guys and 2 trucks, got the boat and trailer on a "flat boy" and got us to Sunnyvale. We spent 4 hours on the side of 101 at night and Unique Towing was our last hope before spending the night with the boat so it wouldn't get stolen during the night. Service company was chosen by my insurance. Very quick and friendly service from Vai. He got incomplete information from the dispatch and took us to the wrong Tires Unlimited, but happily rolled the car back up on the truck and took us to the intended one when we noticed the error. read more

He even gave a couple of tips that I'll keep for next time. Got their number from my roadside assistance in order to make sure I was called prior to their arrival. The dispatcher was courteous and friendly when I call. She knew exactly what I was talking about when I identified myself and the circumstances. A towing service isn't something I want to need.
