Joseph and his entire crew at United Auto Collision are magnificent in what they do. Roughly two months ago, I was hit on the Right front of my vehicle and during the initial analysis of the collision, things weren't looking too bad because my car WAS NOT totaled by the insurance company. However, due to the global supply shortages of steel (and various other things) it took WAY longer than anticipated for the parts to come in for my car. Not only did United get me hooked up with a rental the day of my collision (I was back on the road within hours of the collision to continue seeing my patients in home care...THANK YOU LISA!) they COVERED the entire additional cost of the rental they brokered me getting in the first place. (THANK YOU GABBIE AND JOSEPH!) You see, if my collision had occurred in 2019, my car would have been done within the first month and the 30 days or rental coverage from my insurance company would have been adequate. However, in 2021, getting materials for ANYTHING is complicated! United kept me INFORMED (THANK YOU JOE!), CALM (THANK YOU GABBIE AND LISA!) and kept me MOVING until my car was ready. Now, let's talk about the craftsman ship that Joe (the manager of the production floor) and Joseph (the owner of the shop) used to get my baby back to me. I can't tell that anything ever happened! The repair work is, in no uncertain terms, seamless. WHAT'S MORE: they returned my baby to me clean as a whistle! I met a very nice a d professional lady name Gabby she made me fell comfortable although I was little upset about someone hitting my car ,however the customer at this was the best I ever experience . My car had been in an accident and I tried to go around the insurance companies and have the car fixed on my own. After being ripped off for $1600 from that con artist of an mechanic. I spoke to a friend of mines who SWEARS by United Auto Collision on Germantown ave in Philadelphia. After my friend testimony I spoke with the owner Joseph who made me feel very comfortable. Joseph explained things to me about my vehicle and the botched job that the previous mechanic had done that I wasn't even aware of. Needles to say I left my car for Joseph and the guys to bring my baby back to life, and that's exactly what they did. The receptionist Gabby was the best she kept me in touch and informed every step of the way. I got my vehicle back today and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Hmm where do I start? This place is full of crap. My car was transferred here after an accident that occurred. I wanted to transfer my car somewhere else but I couldn't. They totaled my car on January 29th 2014. I didn't get it back till the end of March!!!! lets jump in to the shitty job they did. 1- the back of my bumper (the part that was damage due to accident) was wiggling. Why on earth is it wiggling? It shouldn't be wiggling at all! 2- My car was scratched up!!! The part where they painted and MY paint was scratched off. HORRIBLE I was infuriated!! 3- My Spare tired was missing!!!! Seriously if it wasn't for my dad. I wouldn't have known that my spare tire was missing. This is sooooo annoying!! 4- JOSEPH the owner is soo unprofessional including his staff in the lobby! Except for the one Asian lady. She's somewhat professional 5- they kept telling me my car was done on this date and that date. And when I called back my car was not even near done!!! Didn't even bother giving me a call and telling that my car wasn't ready yet. 6- I recently got my car back and found some parts in my car missing! I called back and spoke to the dickhead manager himself and he gave so much attitude and was being so unprofessional. Seriously is it my fault that you guys did such an half ass job? He had the audacity to say that it's nothing! How is it nothing when you had my car for 2 months and stuff is still missing? 7-after I got my car back my stereo hasn't been working correctly and they're not doing anything about it!! Would not recommend this place to anyone. I went after a collision bc this was closest to my location. The owner was really friendly and tried to convince me to get my car fixed here. After i read the reviews on yelp, i decided i didnt want to stay. Theh gave me hell trying to move my car somewhere else. When the guy got there to pick my car, owner said i didnt give permission and i had to come to the shop which is 2 hrs from where i live and sign off on it. I was furious. My insurance, nationwide took care of everything and got my car out. Do not trust this place at all, they dont use real parts and the owner gets real nasty when you question him. read more

After my unfortunate accident on November 19, 2014, my car was towed on a wheel lift tow truck with my back tires dragging on the streets burning rubber the entire ride to Joseph's Auto Repair & Collision Center. I was so shaken up from the accident that I didn't think to take my emergency money stash out of my car. After a month at Joseph's Auto Repair & Collision Center for repairs upon retrieving my car on December 18, 2014 I looked under the armrest hoping my money was still there untouched. Sadly to say the money that was intended to be for an emergency was no longer in my car. I'm unsure of the amount of money that was in the car but kept at least a twenty dollar bill and no more than thirty five dollars in my car in case of an emergency. When I reported my money stolen to the owner (Joseph Aviv); he stated that there are cameras all over the shop, that his workers are not thieves and that they have found a diamond ring in the past and gave it to the car owner. Joseph then arrogantly gave me a twenty dollar bill. The issue and concern is not resolved because the fact is Joseph Aviv does have a thief on his staff at Joseph's Auto Repair & Collision Center. A thief who would steal from a person who already suffered a lost. A thief who would steal money knowing he wouldn't get caught and will continue to have his job to steal from the next person who forgets to take their valuables or money out of their car while getting repairs. My car had tons of stuff in it and it just makes me wonder what else could this thief have taken from me without me knowing. I am very certain that my money is not the only thing that was stolen out of my car. Lastly, I would never recommend Joseph's Auto Repair & Collision Center and I will write a review everywhere I can to blow off the anger I have concerning this situation. read more

Avoid at all costs - the owner/manager is a pathological liar. He claims to use manufacturers' parts but does not. Failed to replace a damaged side-view mirror, but charged for it. Agreed to accept payment via check, at the last moment insisted on cash for the total bill. The work performed was sloppy and rotten. He returned the car with a radiator bracket loose, it should have been welded; also, the bumper cover was not attached properly, needed to be redone. He never does as promised: when the work will be done, when the car will be returned, what work will be performed. read more

My post is late but I was in a car accident in October 2018. My van was towed to United Auto Collision and Joe took such good care of me. The tow truck guy was nice and concerned about me and my children. Joe and his team went above and beyond the call of collision to get me and my family back on the road. He battled with my insurance for a $1700 part that the insurance refused to pay for. While going back and forth with the insurance company he paid for the part that was needed out of his pocket. I was missing a side panel and Joe was so generous to replace it at no cost. His team detailed my van and they did an awesome job. I am back on the rode and my van drives like it was never in an accident. I would definitely recommend this shop. I am a very satisfied customer!!! read more

Ignore the other review! Joseph's Auto Collision Center truly does car about their customers! I got in an accident on Lincoln Drive during bad weather- spun out into the median. Coincidentally, there was a tow truck from Joseph's Auto Center literally behind me as it happened and towed me back into the city. I had Joseph's fix what needed to be fixed just to get it moving (there was a bump on the back bumper as well, but just cosmetic damage). When we got the car back, it still did not sound good, there was a bad grinding noise coming from the left wheel. Anyways, I called back to Joseph's Center and was rather angry that the car still sounded bad and they obviously had not fixed what needed to be fixed... The shop profusely apologized to us and immediately sent a truck to pick up the car. They said they it would be towed back to the shop at their expense so they could see what was still wrong with it. They also said they'd fix anything it needed and would get it back to us asap. They wound up re-fixing the car and putting in more work than we had paid for initially. They did not ask for payment for the additional labor hours and parts they wound up having to put into the car, and the manager even personally drove the car back up to our house the next day after they finished to make sure it was working fine. They went above and beyond what was needed and truly helped us out. We really appreciate everything Joseph's Auto Collision center has done for us and suggest it to anyone in need of car repairs or a tow! Working with this shop has been the greatest experience I've ever had when dealing with a body shop. I have had a person run into my car as i was driving and another incident where someone hit my parked car and both times i came straight here. Joe the owner is extremely comforting and professional, he gave me a piece of mind that my car was in good care and his team are just as great. From the 2 ladies i delt with at the front desk, the gentlemen who works with the insurance companies to the mechanics they were all just amazing people. Joe came up with many options to help with my deductible and was able to get me in a nice rental through enterprise that came and picked me up from the shop. My car was finished in 1.5 weeks and looked brand new. Before even seeing my car i spoke to one of the mechanics who was so excited to show me, and i knew then that my car was going to be amazing and it was. I cant express how much i appreciate everything they have done. I know as customers we are very skeptical about giving new places a try but i can assure you that this company has your best interest at heart. Ok so last year my car was in an accident where it was hit from the back in a multiple car accident. It was towed to United because the tow truck that raced to the scene suggested that's where I should go. The owner Joe explained they would use factory parts. Once the insurance person came out to look at the car, they wanted to immediately total the car because with factory parts, the cost of repair would cost more than the cars worth even though it could be fixed. However, what the insurance company wanted to give me for the car would have left me with a large difference in the remaining balance on the note (I don't have gap insurence). I talked to Joe to tell him how important it would be to me to have the car fixed. He told me that he could use parts that were not factory parts and that would lower the cost. I agreed and asked him to communicate as best as he could to the insurance adjuster. After speaking to him the insurance adjuster called to see if I was ok with it. I also had a dent on the side of the car that had nothing to do with this accident. In addition to fixing my car and a job well done, he fixed the dent on the side at no charge. My only complaint was that it took him longer than a month to fix my car. The insurance company only covered for one month in car rental. Joe paid the insurance company for the difference. So in all actuality, I have no complaints and i'd go back again. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I would never recommend this place. The owner lied to me time after time about what i needed done on my car and when my car would be ready. He stalled me for several days and by the time i really needed my car back for a trip, he tried to keep it and charge me for services that he never quoted. I immediately took my car out (since it was drivable) and never looked back. I wish I had looked up the reviews on the day of my accident. I feel like he tried to take advantage of me big time especially because I'm female and I don't know much about cars. Joseph's auto collision is a great place and I recommend it to all my friends and family. Last summer, I crashed my brand new 2017 car. I was so upset. Unfortunately, my car was towed by the police. After a few days of investigating I found out that my car was taken to Joseph's auto collision in Germantown. I was relieved that I knew where my car was but, was nervous because my car was about a half hour away from my location. I was confused why my car was so far away. So I went to go see the damages to my beautiful new car, and the car looked totaled. I was told, I could take the car to any repair shop that I wanted to by Geico. I was going to have my car towed to a location closer to where I live. After talking to an employee Joe I decided to keep my car to get fixed at Joseph's. The employees gave me a tour of the shop, and really made me feel comfortable. The shop owner Joe kept me apprised of everything that was being done to my car, and kept in contact with me. My car was there for a few weeks because, it was almost totaled. Any time I called, I was given a full update on what was done to my car that day. I really enjoyed being kept up to date on the status of my car. When it was time to come pick up my car, I was astonished. The car looked like I just drove it off the lot the day I took it home. The work was meticulous! I could not thank Joe and his staff enough for the beautiful job that was done on my 2017 car! Unfortunately for me I live in a part of South Philly that people are careless about their cars. My 2017 car and my 2013 car have been hit multiple times and I always go back to this shop. I will not use another auto body shop. Just recently my 2013 car was rear ended, while I was in the car, and the person drove away. After being rear ended it pushed my car up the curb and I hit a trash can. I called Joe and he towed my car for free for me! Joe always takes care of his customers... Anyway my car is still getting fixed at Joseph's auto collision and my Geico claim adjustor does not want to fix the side of my car that I hit when I was pushed up onto the curb. Cynthia Kelecher the Geico employee does not believe that a trash can could make the damages that my car occurred on the right side because I was hit on the driver side back. Hopefully, Geico will reevaluate the situation and see that my car was rear ended on the left side and it pushed me to right and pay for the damages. The owner Joe told me that he will take care of the ride side damage that is estimated to be about 1500 dollars if Geico refuses to pay. I do not know if I can ever thank Joe enough for everything he has done for me and my husband. But Joe has definitely acquired a customer for life! read more
