Of note, when I called to make an appt, Mike wanted to take a look at the boat BEFORE he would give me a quote. I took my 2002 PT Cruizer there for a stereo install, the price was right the sale-person was no pressure. I received my car back and all was good. After about a month the fascia for the radio popped out, I popped it back in or so I thought, After another couple of days it popped out again, upon pulling it off to see what was going on I notice 5 of the six plastic tabs were broken off and the screw that holds it in at the center position along my air vent was cracked and held on by tape. They basically ripped the fascia off because they did not know what they were doing and after a closer look I realized my entire fascia was cracked. I bought the car new and this was a replacement radio from the original equipment, so I know no one else had opened this up. I was not pleased to see this kind of shabby work and coverup, plus they charged me. If this was broken at the beginning, they should have immediately called me and told me to come down to look at this before they went any further, this was they would be released from liability. Since they did not do this and the damage was very bad, I know one of their techs did it from not knowing what he was doing. Personally I would not take your vehicle here and if you do make sure you point out any and all defects before you hand it over to them. I did not think to do this because I thought they were professionals. I think the worst part of all this was the cover up and repair with tape to hide their mistake instead of coming clean with me. read more

My son got his first truck and they Nolan was very helpful with recommending inexpensive but clear speakers for his T100. Some Kenwoods and a small 8 inch JL sub. they did the install as the door panels front and back were a bit more labor involved than I wanted to mess with. I would have given 4 and a half, I'm not big on 5's. I called in the morning to have a nav and camera installed. They got me in that afternoon, everyone was pleasant. They made recommendations not on price but on what I needed. I didn't have a ride so I had to sit around all day and there really isn't anyplace to do that except for a Starbucks in the shopping center next door, not there fault. Not only were they able to help me pick which stereo would best suit my needs, they didn't try to sell me on anything, and I felt zero pressure to buy. Unprofessional install and terrible customer service. I asked if they could install a CB radio for me. They said yes. I came to them ahead of time and brought all my stuff and asked can you guys do this? Are these all the parts I need? They say Yes to everything. I show up to my appointment at 9 am and the guy says great I'll see you at 6. I said I wasn't told I need to leave my car all day. He then says come back at noon and I'll try and squeeze me in. Squeeze me in?????...I made an appointment!!! Tell me to come at 4 and not 9. I come back at noon, ended up getting done by 4:30. The technician says I got your CB installed but I don't know if it works or not. WHAT? He says that he doesn't know anything about CB's. WHAT????? Well the light comes on but I'm not getting any sound. What???? I tell the technician well I don't think that thats right that I just paid for you to install my CB and you don't even know if it works or not. His reply....."I feel you, if you figure out if I should have done something different bring it back in and I'll fix it" WHAT!!!!!!!?????? That's why I brought it to you guys to install, so that it would get done right. I then went to a specialty CB shop where they told me that the reason it wasn't working was that my antenna wasn't connected properly, specialty spacers were installed backwards, it wasn't grounded properly, and the antenna wasn't tuned. If it's not tuned it sends a signal thats way too powerful for the CB to handle and can destroy the radio. Thats half of installing a CB, that the antenna is tuned properly. If I hadn't come in to this specialty shop United Car Stereo would have ruined my CB. Avoid these jokers! Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

Quality work. Did my job on schedule in one day. Price was OK, at $85/hr. I needed a front camera, rear camera, baby monitor camera, nav unit hack box (Lockpick), tailgate electronic lock, and radar detector power line installed in a used vehicle I bought. United quoted me 5 hours for all those jobs, and did it on time. Quality is excellent, truck is clean. I also had work done by United a couple of years ago on my last truck, when they installed a subwoofer for me. That job was also done on time, cleanly, and still works great now that I am putting the truck up for sale. I got served by Billy, and he listened to my instructions and my particular requests before he did the job. I got exactly what I wanted. UPDATE 2014: Had these guys install a Radar and a few other things into a Tesla Model S. Not exactly business as usual! But they did a great job, and in a very fair amount of time. read more

I came to United Car Stereo with an alarm issue, after having installed it myself. The manufacturer was extremely unhelpful, but after purchasing replacement parts, i was hesitant to reinstall them myself. I talked to several stereo shops and none of them sounded interested in helping me solve my issue or wanted an arm and a leg to do it. Ryan, on the other hand, was more than helpful, his price was more than fair, and i was more than pleased with my experience. Ryan truly understands customer service and after working with him i will never take my vehicles any where else, nor will i recommend any other shop. Outstanding customer service. Installed on time. Had both a car stereo, speakers and an alarm installed for my son's car. The manager, Mike, matched a sale price on the stereo from Best Buy, and set a very fair price for installation of all items at the same time. He even upgraded (for free) the speakers because his computer showed a smaller size required for the front doors than was actually needed. Used the InstallCard (via Coscto) to install an overhead video unit. No issues - I arranged to drop the car off on Saturday morning. Dropped it off, they asked me if I wanted one additional feature which was not included in the install with the card and I said no and he said ok (turns out, I probably should have done this, but oh well). I mention this to let you know there was no pressure to upcharge or sell extras on the InstallCard. Anyway, the car was done mid-afternoon, picked it up, the unit looked and work as expected - meaning the install looks professional and functions as it should. read more

Made an appoitment 10 days ago for an aftermarket deck to be hard wired into my car after my old deck was stolen ..... I was reassured it would be no problem to do..... Then when I get there today they blow me off and give me a website that doesn't even help and it was a do it yourself wiring diagram site.....would you believe it I even called them today to make sure before making the trip ..... They will waste your time also..... What a Joke... Beware don't even bother..... I rate them a big FAT 0 but it's not available so I guess I'll go with 1...... I had a great experience with UCS. I am clueless about anything electronic and got my parts on line with the help of my son. I called UCS and they knew exactly what I was talking about and said to bring it in the next day. Were extremely helpful in setting up my after-factory blue tooth and I-pod connection. Impressed all round with these guys. Went in initially for some advice on a new head unit for my Porsche Boxster, and got a good idea of options and price with no hard sell. Went back later to arrange the install and after discussing available head units and what was coming out soon, they advised me that the best option was not to go with what we originally discussed but wait 6 weeks for the new Android Auto head units to be released. Always impressed with a business that cares enough to recommend that you don't spend your money today in order to get something better. Once the new model came out, went back for the install. What a great experience! I have come to have low expectations of customer service and was very pleasantly surprised. The antenna on my Sirius radio died the day before we were leaving on a long road trip. I called United, they had the part in stock and quoted me a price on the phone. Due to running around getting ready for our trip, I didn't get to their shop until less than an hour before they closed.
