Asked for a quote (in Yelp) for a head unit replacement and installation, and received a prompt reply with a great deal! Scheduled on the same week, and was greeted by Ryan who was very friendly and accomodating. Had my old 2006 after-market Kenwood head-unit replaced with a brand new, Bluetooth capable Kenwood receiver for my 2002 Mitsubishi. I was blown away by the new head-unit's features, including Bass Boost, Loudness, and a 13-band Equalizer! The receiver brought to life the Rockford-Fosgate speakers in my car! Even though Ryan said the installation would take an hour and a half to do or less, he did it in only 45 minutes! This also included the installation of a Bluetooth external microphone (for phone calls), which he installed neatly on the ceiling, slightly above the car's rear-view mirror, with hidden wiring underneath the headliner! Nolan even gave me a brief tutorial on the new features of the stereo, and also helped pair my Samsung Android S7 Edge to the deck via Bluetooth! Wow...what can I say?... I had the opportunity to have UCS install an XM upgrade kit in my vehicle recently. It was part of an XM lawsuit settlement, and UCS was one of the authorized locations to have the retrofit kit installed. So, I wasn't paying for the service, yet they treated me as if I was a paying customer buying a complete stereo system. Excellent customer service and communication, and the whole retrofit install took a little over an hour. Amazing! If you have fancy audio/video needs in your vehicle like mine, AND like good service, this is the place to go! The original Video system in my Minivan was installed by another shop. It was an expensive and complex setup with 4 headrest monitors and the ability to play iPod/iPad videos on the monitors (with sound on wireless headphones) while simultaneously playing any other audio device on the vehicles main speakers :-) When the system developed issues, the original installer could not even diagnose the problem after multiple attempts. The car dealer found it too complex so would not even try. That is when I found these guys. Not only was Billy able to understand the complex system which he did not install, he was even able to identify the root cause within a day. He then simplified the setup and found replacement equipment compatible with my vehicle. I was very happy, but too lazy to write a review ;) Then another minor problem hit me with one more part from the original install. It was a relief to see Billy handle it with the same great attitude even though this service was free! A few years back I took a vintage European only model BMW to these guys that had a quirky stereo with a quirky antenna with quirky wiring that wasn't all that well installed. These guys found the right parts, fixed the antenna issue and did an installation worthy of old world craftsmanship. As a former BMW mechanic that is very fussy about my cars, and very leery of letting some hack stereo installer tear up my interior and wiring, I was VERY impressed with the skill and workmanship. Now for today, I just called to try to make an appointment to figure out how to get the aftermarket iPod hookup doohickey connected up to power in my "new to me" 2002 BMW. Ryan told me they couldn't make an appointment for a couple of days, but told me where to look and what to look for to hook it up myself. He added to call him back if it didn't work. These guys found a blown fuse and fixed my car stereo after the Concord Infiniti dealership told me the fuses were all good, and that radio needed to be repaired or replaced at a $550 cost. While the radio fuse in my car did test GOOD, the radio circuitry ALSO ran thru the Clock Fuse, and it was blown..! The Clock fuse was replaced and ...The Radio was FIXED...!!!! The Infiniti dealership charged me $179 inspectation fee with no resolution, recommending a radio repair/purchase, and United Stereo FIXED my radio in 30 minutes for only $45...!!!! I cannot say enough good things about United Stereo. They had my radio problem resolved before I finished lunch next door. read more

I had these guys install a new deck in my Lamborghini. After going in one day and deciding on a deck I set an appointment the next week. The price of the deck was fair compared to anything online and they were informative and chill guys. The install is clean as the deck works well. The Lamborghini is super loud so the Bluetooth works decently. The thing I really appreciated is that after install I had a minor issue and they came to my house that same day to fix it. Well, I've had the full experience from the guys at UCS. So before the wall of text, know that the 5 star rating is based off inquiry, purchase, install, and follow ups in warranty. All have been a breeze. Inquiry/Purchase: Ryan and Billy were very helpful on both instances. I originally came in for just a head unit in my mk4 GTI, and Billy got it set up and it was installed that Saturday. After that smooth experience, Black Friday time rolled around and I dropped in to inquire about a sub/amp install. Ryan helped me out (I had done lots of research online) and hooked up a bit of a deal and it got installed that next Saturday as well. Install: 10" JL sub in factory box with a JL 500w rms amp. It bumps nicely in a little 2 door hatch. Sounds great, looks great, overall very satisfied. The cable management looks pretty good and the amp was mounted right under the passenger seat and fits perfect. They are very flexible, but had professional recommendations for the install and it worked great. Follow up: About 2.5 months after the initial install, my sub stopped working. OH NOES. I checked the fuse near the battery and it looked fine - and I'm not droppin tha bass TOO hard in my little hatch so I knew it was likely a little issue. Called on a Sunday night (obviously they were closed) and got a call first thing Monday morning. Scheduled time Wednesday morning to take a peek. Turns out a cable was just slightly unplugged coming from the battery - and I realized I just had my in for service at Dublin VW so they must have knocked it when they unplugged the battery/worked under the hood. It was a quick fix (under 30mins) and they handed over the keys with a smile. Definitely satisfied. From day 1 to now I have only had great experiences with UCS.
