Our flight was leaving Very early, so my eyes were only open enough to take one picture! But believe me when I tell you that this was a very comfortable really well laid out lounge. The food was nice and hot and was very fresh. For breakfast they were serving scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and different pastries. I know the bar was open but at 6 o'clock in the morning that was a little too early for me to drink! One of the nicest lounges we've been to in a while.

Hidden - tucked away - at the end of what feels a bit like a ghost town of a concourse! But it's more live than concourse D which closed in 2016!!!

This is a nice United Club by the C gates in the Cleveland Airport. I won't go through all the food again in this review, as it was the same as in my previous visit, although I did see some moldy cheese (oops!). I did have the fantastic coffee gelato again. Shout out to the fabulous club staff who tried to help me locate a notary before my flight (alas, no) but did help me with some color copies.

Now that the lounge amenities are back to normal and I have had the pleasure of visiting several other United lounges, I'd like to update my review to say that this is the best one I've experienced and definitely one of their best. The size, range of seating (from couches to a small theater with projection TV, and individual group work rooms), food selection, and bar always makes me look forward to visiting CLE.

Check in with the front ladies is always pleasant. They welcome us back with smiles and laughter. In the lounge we always look for Cheryl. She has the personality that brings a smile from us. She chats, cleans, tells a joke, cleans more, and buses our areas. The buffet tables are clean and full of food. I like the coffee.

The food was pretty mediocre at this United Lounge in Cleveland Hopkins airport. I'm usually a fan of pastries but all of them looked dry and like they were sitting around for a looong time. One thing I did love was the Illy coffee machine. It made a great, strong latte, better than any Starbucks machine. The french toast wasn't too bad. There was also your typical fruit selection. The highlight of this lounge is the amount and variety of seating options here. Lots of comfy sofas, tables, and even a theater.

Small assortment of snacks. They were pretty good.

So glad they are open again in CLE. They just reopened a few days earlier and so our expectations were low. No need to worry. Aside from the bar seating being removed, everything is back to normal. Masks are currently required but hopefully that will change come September. There was a decent assortment of snacks. Most items are pre-packaged. But they were pretty tasty. I tried the hummus and pita bread...not bad. I gave 5 stars thanks to the enthusiastic staff that were happy to be back at work. Thanks Tanya, Cheryl, and Leon!

Very nice club, as United Clubs go. Lots of space, many seating areas, much quieter than sitting out in the terminal. Some free booze available but also free sodas and juices. If you don't like the free options, paid premium beers and wines and spirits are also on offer. Free wifi seems faster than that out in the terminal. As is normal for United Clubs, there are some snacks available. Wrapped packets of cheese, crackers, ranch dressing, salsa, carrots, dispensers loaded with yogurt raisins and some salty things, plus packets of Milano cookies. You are not permitted to bring your own food into the Club.

Feels a bit dated, but the service was friendly, and there were decent food options for a lounge in a smaller airport like CLE.

Located between the Greater Cleveland metropolitan suburbs of Berea and Brooklyn Heights (in the outer suburb of Brookpark) and on the grounds of the new Cleveland Browns stadium, and about 8.7 miles directly southwest of downtown Cleveland, in the designated neighborhood of Hopkins (known as Riverside until 2015). Cleveland-Hopkins covers an area of 1,717 acres in Brookpark's Hopkins neighborhood, and has three "standard" (for the US) runways, though unlike San Diego, it has no EMAS arrestor system for aircraft. Hopkins and San Diego are actually about the same geographic size. One of NASA's ten designated field research sites, the Glenn Research Center, is on airport grounds but not airport property as NASA is a federal department paid by US taxes each year. I wasn't exaggerating when I mentioned that Cleveland-Hopkins has been at the forefront of pioneering innovations. CLE was the first airport with an air traffic control tower (ATC) and a two-level/split design separating arrivals from departures. Both of which are now ubiquitous at nearly every airport in the US, and most airports around the world today. In fact, it is now mandated by FAA regulations to have some type of true air traffic control tower. Cleveland-Hopkins was also the first airport in North America to be directly connected with a rail transit line, connected directly to the red line train of the Greater Cleveland Rapid Transit Authority (GCRTA) with a built-in train station beneath the airport-proper that connects to departures through a quick escalator or elevator ride. Cleveland-Hopkins was a hub for United Airlines from the post-World War II era until the mid-1980s. After United moved out, Continental Airlines moved in, making it the dominant carrier at the airport in the 1990s and 2000s. In 2010, United and Continental merged, keeping the United name and eliminating the Continental name, resulting in Cleveland becoming a United hub again. However, in 2014, United discontinued its hub, though it still has a flight attendant base, pilot base, and maintenance facilities at the airport and is its largest carrier by passenger count. When United stopped using CLE as a hub in 2014, they closed Concourse D (a separate satellite terminal connected to the main facility via underground walkway) but United kept paying rent on the lease to the satellite. Even in 2026, United is still the largest carrier at Cleveland-Hopkins despite the prevalence of Low-Cost Carriers who found a new home at CLE; with the shutdown of Spirit Airlines, United closed the metaphorical door on Low-Cost Carriers expanding or coming into Cleveland-Hopkins. Most LCCs have, for the most part, aside from Allegiant Air, Sun Country (until their merger with Allegiant is finalized though Allegiant likely is not moving out), and Southwest Airlines, pulled out of Cleveland-Hopkins to center their operations further south at Akron-Canton Regional Airport, which is more affordable for Low-Cost Carriers per gate rental. Some context for the "Hopkins" moniker; CLE airport was named after its founder, former city manager William R. Hopkins, which the city dedicated to him on Hopkins' 82nd birthday in 1951, 26 years after the airport itself was founded by Hopkins; Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport (CLE) turns 101 years old this month. Decent, but looking forward to the improvements.

The airline employees are friendly but the other employees are grouchy. The only positive is super fast internet! The TSA precheck gentlemen who is the oldest and I guess most senior makes sure to use his limited authority. The picture is optional but he is forceful to get all passengers to comply. I have flown all over the US and world and never had someone through a fit that I did not want a picture. He takes out a magnifying glass to "exam" my ID which made me laugh because I have an out of state license and is he an expert in every state? That is why you scan the ID through the machine, he is second guessing the machine. And you know the photo is optional, when the fourth employee had just the boarding pass machine and they are manually looking at the photo ID which makes things more laughable that he was making such a big deal. The lines are long but there was 4 employees working so it moved quickly. The bathrooms are too small and entry makes it a challenge to go in so pause before going in so you don't run into another person. The rental car shuttle bus driver is grouchy and is selective of who he wants to assist and who he wants to enforce the rules. Thr bus was packed on arrival and there was hardly any seats and he said find a seat somewhere but you cannot sit in wheelchair seating. On return, he was working again. Two young black men were sitting in wheelchair, did he tell them not to sit there, nope! The rental car lot is very far from the airport so plan for extra 20 minutes to drop off car and take shuttle to airport. And be prepared to drag on/off your own luggage if he decides to not help you.
